Where To Turn In Lost Items In Animal Crossing New Horizons
When you spot a book or notepad on the ground, go pick it up and it will tell you it is a lost item. If you check the details, it will tell you that someone most have lost this item. You will have to search your island and find the resident it belongs to. Sadly the details don’t help to narrow it down much either. Bring the item with you and talk to all of your residents and show it to them. They will either say thanks it is mine, or say not mine but I hope you find who it belongs to. Thankfully I normally find the resident the item belongs to within three tries. If the item is close to a house, the villager that owns the house has normally lost it.
After you turn the item in, they will hand you a gift. So far I have got clothes, furniture and resources from the villagers. You normally get a lost item once or twice per week, just keep your eyes open while moving around your island. You don’t have to hand them item over right away, you can wait a few days and do it then if you want. Just note that it will take an inventory spot until you get rid of it.
