Note that you can expand your base, but this is the question people are going to be asking: You don’t need to expand your base village in LEGO Fortnite.
Whenever you try and build something in LEGO Fortnite, you can see the area of influence around the village. You can build inside or outside this area, just like any other area in the game world.
However, If you build outside the area, you won’t get experience points for placing the building.
See below for a point of reference; anything within that line will give you points for your villages (we are outside the line in the image):
Villages in LEGO Fortnite have specific jobs that need utilities, so items like the Lumber Mill can only be used inside the base.
You can build a massive village in LEGO Fortnite if you want, but you will only get experience points for your village if it is inside the area, and your villagers will only be able to use the tools inside the area as well.
So, in summary:
- While you can expand your base village, you don’t need to expand your base village in LEGO Fortnite.
- Building outside the area in LEGO Fortnite will not give you experience points.
- Your LEGO Fortnite villagers will only be able to use the tools inside the area.
