Eggs come in various shapes and sizes in Angry Birds Evolution. You get different colored eggs depending on the area you’re fighting in, you can get free tickets and hatch premium eggs at the hatchery. If you want to build the biggest squad, or get lots of birds to sell to get gold coins fast, you’ll want to use a combination of these methods to maximize your eggcellent income… Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

You want to make sure that you save all your normal and premium hatchery tickets for when the event is running. Check out our guide on How To Get Rare 4 & 5 Star Birds In Angry Birds Evolution for details on the event. This will ensure the eggs you do hatch return the best value in birds returned.

Every time you do a battle you can get two rewards, either eggs or chests. Chests have a higher chance to spawn on higher difficulties so if you want to farm eggs, stick to normal difficulty options. You’ll want to avoid PvP battles too as these do not drop any eggs.

The best way to do this is to get the leveling reward when you reach level 10. This allows you to do quick battles, skipping combat and simply getting the rewards. The quick battle option is in the lower right corner of the battle screen – you cannot skip story related battles.

Once you reach level 10 you’ll have all your scouts and can skip battles, so it’s simply a matter of loading up the game, launching 2 scouts, killing everything and getting the rewards. It’s a simple technique and one you’ve probably already used, but it’s much better to focus on leveling and completing the story until you reach level 10. That way you can vastly reduce the time it takes to get multiple eggs.

There’s no get rich quick scheme. Although there are many ways that make earning Gold faster than others, it’s still a time consuming process. Below is a list of the best techniques we’ve found to building up your stock of Gold Coins.

Selling Birds
Bit of a no-brainer this one. Every bird you have is worth 10 Gold Coins per star rarity. So a 1 star bird is worth 10 Gold Coins, whereas a 2 or 3 star bird would be worth 20 Gold Coins and 30 Gold Coins respectively. We suggest you keep hold of the rare 4 & 5 star birds though.

Timed Adventures
Once you reach Level 6 you unlock Timed Adventures. These can pop up whenever you send out a Scout on a mission. The payout is actually quite low and it can take several hours but if you avoid using any of your team birds, or stronger birds, and just send out birds before you plan to sell them, it’s free cash for minimal effort.

Dungeons
Dungeons offer some of the best rewards in the game but they are very difficult to get start. At the normal level difficulty you will need 5 birds of the same color with a total Team Power rating of 2500. You will also need a minimum of 10 Dungeon Keys, or 15 if you want to skip the battle via quick battle. It can be tough to get the Team Power requirement early on but around account level 15-20, you shouldn’t have much of a problem. Do them as often as possible for huge Gold Coin rewards.

Increasing Difficulty
Once you reach Level 8 you unlock Hard Difficulty, and then at Level 12 you unlock Insane Difficulty. Before each battle make sure you change the difficulty to the highest possible that you can win to drastically increase your rewards.

Golden Pigs
At Level 11 you unlock Golden Pigs. At Level 18 you increase the chances of bumping into them. Take them out as quickly as possible and you can earn a good amount of Gold Coins with minimal effort.

Leadership Abilities come in various shapes and sizes. The typical default Leadership Ability for a Bird is to add 30% additional damage to other birds of the same color/type. However, there are many other birds that have much more potent and unique Leadership Abilities. Geraldine for example has a Leadership Ability that increases damage by 10% times the amount of “rockstars” on the screen, characters that replace the normal pig spectators.

To unlock Leadership Abilities you have to progress through the story, it is not a leveling reward. You must progress through the game until you have unlocked the White Mountains area. Once you do return to the main city and click to change your team. When you do you will be informed that Leadership Abilities are now unlocked.

It is possible that eventually you will unlock the ability to increase your inventory through leveling rewards but currently, the only way way to increase your inventory space is through Gems. Although Gems are a premium currency, there are many things you can do in Angry Birds Evolution to get free gems.

Once you have enough Gems check out the premium store. Click the Gems icon in the upper right. From there navigate to the inventory tab. There you will find different options to upgrade your carrying capacity.

How To Get Free Gems In Angry Birds Evolution

Achievements
Firstly, there’s achievements. You unlock achievements near the start of the game. They include various objectives, from leveling up your birds to defeating enemies and unlocking new areas. Once an achievement is complete you can get the reward, Free Gems! You can find the place to get achievement rewards at the main town.

Gem Pigs
One of the many rewards you get for levelling. When you reach level 15 you unlock Gem Pigs. There is a small chance to find a Gem Pig whenever you send out your Scouts. It’s blue, the same color as Gems. Once defeated, if you’re quick enough, you can get a bunch of Gems for taking it down.

Your Collection
In the same place as the achievements tab are the Birds and Enemies tab. Every time you get a new bird (check out our awesome Angry Birds Evolution list of birds) or defeat a new enemy type, it is unlocked in your collection. Once you activate the new items within the collection you’re given Free Gems.

Free Gem Leveling Reward
Once you reach account level 17 you unlock the Free Gems perk. It doesn’t offer much explanation but after reaching this level you’re meant to be able to find Gems randomly just scattered around the central town area. They are not very common but they do appear from time to time.

You unlock achievements very early on in Angry Birds Evolution. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes. You can complete achievements when you send out Scouts, when you defeat boss enemies, unlock new areas, almost all actions are in some way associated with the in-game achievements system. You will get a pop-up in the lower left of the screen informing you that you’ve completed an achievements but the actual location you need to visit can be easily missed.

Firstly you need to visit the hub town. This can be reached by pressing the tent icon in the lower left corner of the screen. It’s the main town in the game where you do the majority of your actions, such as levelling birds, building your team and hatching eggs at the hatchery. It’s not obvious but on this screen you can actually scroll left and right.

If you scroll right you will see the “Level Your Birds” building. A little more to the right of that is the “Collections” building. This is also the place you can get Free Gems on the birds and enemies tab.

Navigate to the Achievements tab and voila, this is Where To Get Achievement Rewards In Angry Birds Evolution.

Developers aren’t stupid. There’s no quick-fire, sure-fix way of getting the most valuable items in the game. If there was, nobody would use the premium options and pay real cash for items. However, there are some minor things you can do that together will drastically improve your chances of getting the higher quality birds.

Firstly, save your Gems. You get Gems as rewards for completing achievements, in chests and through missions. It’s never a lot but if you save them and don’t waste them on buying 20 gold to level your favourite bird, they can soon stack up.

Most importantly, wait for the event. It’s not a permanent event but it happens a lot. The Get Powerful Birds event is an event that increases the chances of an egg including a rare 4 or 5 star bird after opening an egg. For example, let’s say you have a 1 in 100 chance of getting a 5 star bird, that’s pretty crappy right? Well, this event can change that.

Each time you open a certain number of eggs your chances at receiving rarer, more powerful birds increases. So the best way for How To Get Rare 4 & 5 Star Birds In Angry Birds Evolution is to save all of your normal and premium tickets until the Get Powerful Birds event begins. Then, using all your tickets at once, you have the highest chance to get a rare bird without spending any cash.

Like many other popular mobile games Angry Birds Evolution offers multiple levelling systems. As you complete battles, objectives and challenges you are awarded Account Experience points, this is what influences your account level shown in the upper left hand corner of the screen. As you increase your experience points you unlock various rewards for levelling, some of which include additional difficulty options.

When you reach level 8 you unlock hard difficulty and then when you reach level 12 you unlock insane difficulty. As you can see in the image at the top of this post the difficulty option is added to the screen prior to battle. You can select from Normal, Hard and Insane, which drastically changes the Team Power of the enemies you encounter. If you are at least 1000+ stronger than the Normal Team Power, you can still use the Quick Battle to save time.

If you are even a single point stronger than the enemy team, use the Quick Battle and you’ve got a 99% chance of victory. I’ve Quick Battled every fight and have yet to lose one. Fighting on Hard and Insane difficulty levels offer greater rewards, more chances at rare items and the occasional rare egg.

The Shiny mechanic in Angry Birds is an exciting one. Everytime you find a bird, hatch one in the hatchery or find an egg, it has a chance to hatch a Shiny version of the bird. You can tell if a bird is shiny by examining its portrait. It will glimmer, check out the screenshot below for the exact appearance of a Shiny Bird in Angry Birds Evolution.

When examining the portrait of the Shiny Bird you can see the effect of the Shiny bonus below the Birds stats. There are various effects that can be applied to Shiny Birds. They can be worth more to sell, that can level up faster or provide extra experience points to birds when leveling.

You can also find Shiny Totems from missions or in eggs in the hatchery. These Shiny Totems actually make a bird a shiny so they are very valuable.
