Where To Get The Plasma Torch In Alien Isolation

Hiding isn’t the only way you can survive in Alien Isolation. If you look around enough you will be able to find weapons to help you keep the Alien back. This guide will help you find the weapons as you go along. Check it out.

Where To Find The Flamethrower In Alien Isolation

Maintenance Jack – You cannot miss this because you need it for the story. You will find this in the Immigration Office Cells on a dead body. You will need to climb through a vent to get there.

Flashlight – You get this in Axel’s room, can’t miss it.

Revolver – You can find the Revolver in the Lorenz Systech Spire, in the Facility Control part. It is in the Tech Support room on the table. Hold the reload button to fully reload this weapon.

After you lose your weapons you can find the Revolver again. Once you get to the Central Reactor of the Engineering Deck look next to the vending machine. On the box next to a tape recorder you can will see it.

Stun Baton – You can find this in the Medical Facility jammed into the Environmental Control door. This is very useful against androids. You will need a battery pack to use this.

Gas Torch – After you escape the Medical Center and return to Samuels you will meet some Marshals. They need you to restart the tram so you can get out of the area. After you take the elevator up use the computers on the maintenance deck and the screens will go red. When that happens a door near the elevator will open and a guy with a gun will come out. Kill the guy and go back into that room to find the torch on the workbench.

You get an upgrade to this while you are Restoring Access To Distribution in Gemini Exoplanet Solutions. The upgrade is under the camera on a dead body.

The last upgrade is found on the Engineering Floor of the Maintenance Deck. It is in the room on the left in the Workshop area.

Flamethrower – You get this in the Marshal’s office after you play as a prisoner. This will keep the Alien off your back if it sees you. Fuel may seem limited but I have yet to run out unless I intentionally hold the trigger for way to long.

You get this again on your way to the Central Reactor. After you come down the elevator you can see it on a crate before the Alien cave.

Shotgun After you trap the Alien and return to the Sevastopol station you can get the Shotgun on the way back to the Marshal. When you exit the Airlock there will be a doorway with some steps that lead down to a body. That body has the key card you need to exit and the Shotgun.

You can find the Shotgun again after you lose your weapons on your way to the Central Reactor. After you climb the first ladder in that area you can see it leaning on a crate.

Bolt Gun – You can find the Bolt Gun on the Maintenance Deck. When you get the objective Unlock The Shutter you will end up at a console. Next to that console there gun is on the table. This is a single shot charge weapon.

Check back soon for updates.

How To Use The Security Tuner In Alien Isolation

One of the key items in Alien Isolation is the Security Tuner. This tool will help you open some doors and hack some terminals throughout the game. Problem is the game doesn’t really explain how to use it. Use this guide to figure out how to use your Security Tuner.

Using The Security Tuner

You get this pretty early off a dead body and after you get the battery for it you can start opening doors. There is one upgrade for this that you won’t be able to miss later in the game.

Most of the time when you use the Security Tuner you will get the Signal Lost mini game. What you have to do is move the marker around the square until the screen lights up with various symbols. Using the right stick you need to find the first symbol and click it. The symbol is broken up into pieces starting at 3 and going up one with each Security Tuner difficulty level. If you are running out of time just get move the left stick and the timer and puzzle will reset.

Another method that rarely pops up is the blue and white line mini game. All you need to do is stop the marker in the white line 3 times and the door will open. The line gets smaller each time and the marker moves quicker each time. For the last one you will be better off stopping before the line then after the line.

The sooner you can master the Security Tuner the better since you will be using it a lot throughout the game. Check back soon for more Alien Isolation guides!

Alien Isolation Guide: Blueprint Location Guide

In Alien Isolation you will need to find blueprints so you can craft new equipment. The blueprints are not required so if you aren’t looking for them you might miss some. This guide will help you get them all as you go along. Let’s get started.

Alien Isolation Blueprint Locations

I am doing this as I go so if you know one I missed let us know in the comments.

Medikit – In between the Departures area and the Passenger’s Lounge on the Sevastopel there is a small hallway. In the hallway there is a yellow bench right before the Passenger’s Lounge, you can find the blueprint there.

Smoke Bomb V1 – After you get the the Revolver and the key card you end up in the Tech Support room. On the table next to the System Monitoring doorway you can find this blueprint.

Flashbang V1 – While in the Tech Support area head into through the System Monitoring door. In there on the wall you can find the blueprint.

Noisemaker V1 – You find this in the Seegson Communications Observation Deck. After you get the motion tracker use the computer in that room to open the doors to the upstairs rec area. Once you are up there open the Huamn Employee Rec door and on the table in there you will find the blueprint.

EMP V1 – In the Internal Communications area there is a small room near where you have to Reactivate Samuels’ communication. The room has a save point and on the table in there you can find this blueprint. The EMP is VERY useful against droids.

Pipe Bomb V1 – You can find this blue print in the Medical Facility in the Psychotropic Clinic. You will pass the room while you are looking for the room Dr. Morley is in. There is a save point in this room and the blueprint is on the table. The Alien IS stalking you at this point.

Moltov V1 – While in the Medical Facility go into the Security Desk room. On the table, next to the computer you will find the blueprint. Solid way to keep the Alien off your back if it sees you and also useful against any enemy Humans.

Smoke Bomb V2 – While you are at Seegson Synthetics you will climb a ladder to Procedure Observation. In the second room up there you can find this blueprint on the wall. There is also a save station and terminal in there as well.

Flashbang V2 – After you return to Samuels from Medical you will go the the Maintenance Deck of the Sevastopol Scmid Tower. After you get off the elevator the blueprint is on the table in front of you.

Noisemaker V2 – When you are locking down the stairs you will end up in the Upper level of the Lorenz Systech Spire. This is the area right after you initiate the lockdown in the server hub. The blueprint is on the white table.

EMP V2 – On your way back to the Marshal’s office you will have to follow a cleaner bot through a vent. Once you go through you will enter another vent and when you reach the end you can find the blueprint on table.

Moltov V2 – You find this when you revisit Seegson Synthetics while looking for Samuels. After the part where the 6 androids come to life and attack you, you will have to find a key card on one of the bodies. In the room with the key card door you can find the blueprint on a dead body, behind the Sales Agreements booth.

Be sure to check back soon for updates!

How To Reactivate Samuels' Communication In Alien Isolation

While playing Alien Isolation you will run into an objective that wants you to reactivate Samuels’ communication. In order to do this you will have to beat three mini games that the game does not explain to you. This guide will help you beat the mini games and get on with the game!

The games are in random order and if you mess up on one the whole thing will reset. Just because one was on the first screen before does not mean the same game will be there again.

Alien Isolation Reactivating Samuels’ Communication

The Circuit Game – All the game tells you for this one is press the matching input when the circuit is active. You will see 3 squares that have numbers, symbols and letters popping up randomly in them. These are the circuits and you need to press the corresponding button to the circuit. It is not the D-pad but the other buttons(Xbox is Y,X,A and Ps is Triangle, Square, X,). When a symbol pops up in one of the squares hit that button to lock it in. If you mess up it will reset so wait until you are sure before hitting the button.

Values Game – This one is pretty simple. All you have to do is put the bar over the white numbers/letters and confirm them. You can move the bar and you are not timed so don’t rush. If one leaves the screen don’t worry it will come back after the cycle ends.

Balance Values – I wasn’t 100% sure what to do at first for this but after I looked it over I understood. All you need to do is use the D-pad to make the top numbers match the button numbers then confirm.

Once you do that you will get a cut scene and more androids to deal with. Check back soon for more Alien Isolation guides!
