Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster Chess Puzzle Guide
Once you are in the chess room you can start the puzzle. We will be starting at the White King, the white piece with the cross on the top. This is actually the only piece you need to move so don’t touch any of the other pieces. Move the White King down a fair ways, until you can move it over to the left corner. When you move it over, push it all the way back up into the two white pieces and the black piece and you will be in check mate. This will move the chess board on the desk and you can gain the items that are hidden underneath.
This will get you the Book of Evil and a Marcus Diary. The diary will tell you about the T-Virus and how they ended up creating it. You will need to examine the book to find a wing inside of it. You can then go back to the scale at the start of the training facility and combine the wing with the black statue there. Combine the wing into the statue and then place it back onto the scale to unlock a new door and the path you need to take to move on with the game.
