Lightphobe Launching in Steam Early Access February 12

Blending together match-based shooters with zombie shooter games, the world of Mutant Realm Games’ Lightphobe will enter Steam Early Access February 12.

An asymmetrical multiplayer title, players will choose between gun-wielding Soldiers or unearthly skeleton creatures called Lightphobes. Lightphobes can use their invincibility in the darkness to get an edge in battle, while Soldiers can use the light to take these threats down.

Whatever one chooses, players will be tasked with capturing an objective point in battles that support up to 16 players in a single battle.

Future abilities the development team are looking to add are two new abilities for the Soldiers, two new abilities for the Lightphobes, and two more multiplayer maps. The team is also experimenting with neural networks, expecting to make improvements to the AI of Lightphobe enemies in the future.

An open Discord channel is also available for Lightphobe.
