Warbeast has 3 main attacks that can cause you a few problems, below is a list of those attacks so you know how to avoid them

Stomp

Warbeast will raise its front legs before stomping them onto the ground creating a knockdown + damage attack in 360 radius surrounding Warbeast. This attack can also knock down the goblins that spawn to aid Warbeast.

Quake

A similar animation to before but a bit faster, Warbeast stomps the ground causing lumps of rock to fall from the roof.

Charge

The most damaging attack in Warbeast‘s arsenal, he will charge directly at a hero and can cause upwards of 300 damage.

If you’re playing a melee character you want to be harassing Warbeast as much as possible, always stay close and continue to attack as often as you can. If he starts the animation for Stomp, either quickly hold block as he lands or use dodge just as he jumps, either way you can avoid any damage and knockdown and continue to cause damage. Ignore any goblins that try to attack you as Warbeast‘s Stomp will knock them down also.

Range just does continual damage, dealing with any goblins if they start to attack you. Make sure you watch out for the shadows on the floor when Warbeast uses his quake move, the shadows signal where the debris will fall. The charge attack can be adjusted slightly mid charge so make sure you dodge well clear of it as it charges.

Lower Ravens Rill

• Widow’s Revenge – You may have already completed this quest if you’re the type to always explore the “wrong direction” before going the right one. It’s a simple Side Quest, follow the tracker to defeat the boss Boris.

• A Prized Possession – Simple boss fight. Kill all of Ottokar’s minions first and then start to work on his HP. Keep an eye out for his animations, he will raise his arms before he attacks. Simply dodge and counter until he dies.

• The Fishing Hole – Talk to Yacob near the waterwheel. He will ask you to secure his old fishing spot that has since been a new habitat for some nasty creatures. Follow the quest tracker and use the special bait at the waters edge, kill the summoned monsters and return to complete this side quest. If you struggle with this fight you can retreat a small distance away from the water to a point where the boss cannot attack you.

• Hiding Out (After Completing The Cave) – Follow the quest tracker to the cave and a giant spider will spawn. A pretty simple boss fight, make sure to AoE the small spiders it summons as quickly as possible and just have whoever is holding aggro dodge around the map

There are a large number of boss battles in Dungeon Siege 3, although a few of them offer unique challenges, the majority of boss fights in Dungeon Siege 3 can all be won with simple tank and spank techniques.

Anyone with MMO experience will be aware of the tank and spank method of combat but for those of you not familiar with the battle tactic, it basically involves 1 player getting aggro (means the boss is attacking that player) while the AI or any additional players work on ads and reducing the bosses HP. The combat mechanics in Dungeon Siege 3 allow almost anyone to block a good amount of damage and the dodging ability practically makes you immune to any damage if you avoid boss AoE spells

It’s usually best for Lucas to do the “tanking” so if you’re in a group make sure he initiates combat and does as much as possible to keep the bosses attention on him. If the boss breaks away and starts to attack someone else, have that person dodge repeatedly while Lucas continues to increase aggro.

So in short, get Lucas to damage until the boss attacks him, have him block and dodge often. If he loses the bosses attention, have everyone else stop attacking and just block/dodge, this technique works with the majority of boss fights in Dungeon Siege 3.

The majority of the Side Quests in Dungeon Siege 3 don’t offer much of a challenge so obtaining the Perfectionist Achievement shouldn’t cause you many problems once you know the location of the Side Quests. The Perfectionist Achievement guide featured below lists the Side Quests by map but please be aware you may not have access to the entire map when you first reach a new area.

Pilgrims Road

• Unlucky Merchant – You meet the Unlucky merchant just east of the Chapterhouse bridge. He asks you to search for his wagon. Simply follow the quest tracker and kill the Bandit to complete this Side Quest
• Relics Of Another Age (After Completing East Forest)
• Heroes Of Old (After Completing East Forest)

Lower Ravens Rill
