How To Unlock Gladiator & Sage Jobs In Dragon Quest Heroes 2
As well as the 4 base classes in the game (Warrior, Thief, Priest & Martial Artist) there are two special jobs you can unlock in Dragon Quest Heroes 2. This guide will tell you How To Unlock Gladiator & Sage Jobs In Dragon Quest Heroes 2. When you first begin your journey in Dragon Quest Heroes 2, you have to progress through the main story for a short while.

After reaching Accordia you will eventually unlock the ability to switch classes between any of the available starting classes including Warrior, Thief, Priest & Martial Artist. However, there are two hidden and special jobs & classes that you can unlock that add new abilities and traits to the characters you use. If you want to unlock the Gladiator and Sage for use, check the information below.

How To Unlock Gladiator & Sage Jobs In Dragon Quest Heroes 2

The first thing you will need to do is raise classes/jobs to level 20. If you want to unlock the Gladiator you will need a Level 20 Warrior and Level 20 Martial Artist on one of your main characters. For the Sage you will need a Level 20 Priest and Level 20 Mage on one of your main characters. There’s also a really good reason to level Thief to level 20 too, if you want to unlock locked chests in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 (but that’s not required for unlocking Gladiator or Sage).

Once you have the desired class combinations at level 20 speak with the Vocation guy inside Accordia. He will give you a quest. Below is the information for each of the quests. Both of these quests require you to go solo so be sure to remove everyone from your party before starting.

Gladiator
This is the harder of the two quests to complete. You will need to play as the Warrior or the Martial Artist for this quest. You have 15 minutes to kill 250 enemies in The Battle Of The Great Divide South. There are a ton of huge enemies, ignore them and focus on the little guys. In the south-west corner of the map there is a spot that has a large group of small enemies. Go there, clear them out, head back to the center and repeat. They will respawn as long as you go far enough away and that is the best place to kill a bunch of enemies quickly. When you finish, return to the quest lady and you will unlock the Gladiator class.

Sage
This one is much easier because you have to go to The Battle Of Wildwood and those enemies are a cake walk even at 20. You need to play as the Mage or the Priest class for this mission. Enter the battle, make sure it is The Battle Of Wildwood(free) and clear out the enemies in the west square. Then take the teleporter and when you get to the next area re-enter the teleporter so you are back where you started. That square will be full of enemies again and you can farm 250 easily that way. Return to the quest lady when you are finished and you will unlock the Sage class.

How To Unlock Locked Chests In Dragon Quest Heroes 2 - The Thief's Key
You may have come across locked chests during your travels in Dragon Quest Heroes 2, but with no key in sight how do you unlock them? This guide will tell you everything you need to know for How To Unlock Locked Chests In Dragon Quest Heroes 2. Locked Quests are scattered across the game world in Dragon Quest 2, they can be found as early as the very first map and as late as the very last zone you explore.

However, the game doesn’t explain anything behind the mechanics of locked chests. Do you have to find a key? Maybe you can level up Thief to learn a skill so you’re able to unlock chests you come across in future?

How To Unlock Locked Chests In Dragon Quest Heroes 2

It’s some time before you’re able to fulfill all the requirements to unlock The Thief’s Key, the special item you need to unlock locked chests in Dragon Quest Heroes 2. There are a number of requirements you must meet, but even if you’re completing content hugely under-leveled, you won’t be able to open locked chests until 10-15+ hours into the game.

Achieve Level 20 Thief
Your first step in unlocking locked chests in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 is reaching level 20 with Thief. You do not get a Thief character early on, it has to be the main character. You cannot do it using the second main character. You can switch to Thief early on and level as you normally would, or you can convert later down the line and level with the better experience points offered by higher level monsters. Once your party is around the level 35-40 mark the enemies offer enough experience points to get a new class to 20 in about 10-15 minutes.

Reclaim Accordia
In order to get the Thief’s Key you have to progress through the main story quests. Without revealing too many spoilers you need to progress through until you defeat the Missing Lynx boss during the mission where you reclaim Accordia from the forces of darkness. After that part of the story you return to Accordia and have to enter the castle. Once you have reclaimed Accordia and have the level 20 Thief, you have everything you need, well – almost.

Buy The Orb
Head down behind the Church (Making sure you have THF equipped) and speak to the old man standing next to the cat. Then go back up the stairs. Next to the save area in Accordia, North West side, is a large muscle-bound guy. You should notice a ! over his head. Speak with him and he will tell you that the orb store is selling something special. Speak to the Orb lady and select the item that has no name – it’s just a black space. It costs 3,000 Gold.

An Honour Among Thieves
This is one of the Dragon Quest Heroes 2 side quests, you unlock it after purchasing the Orb and speaking with the quest lady. Head to Ingenia and enter the city, you will get the option to enter and participate in this quest. You have to sneak through the dungeon without getting seen. It can be a bit of a pain but check out the video below if you’re struggling.

Which Door To Choose Dragon Quest Heroes Tower Door Puzzle
Dragon Quest Heroes 2 doesn’t feature many puzzles but there’s a few that may be a little challenging for you. This guide focuses on the Dragon Quest Heroes Tower Door Puzzle, putting it simply – what door you have to choose to progress.

When you reach the top of the Guard Tower in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 you’ll be prompted to solve a puzzle. The knight tells you that there are 4 fake knights and his friend in the room. Each will try to convince you that they are telling the truth and the others are lying.

If you want to avoid solving the puzzle or the process of elimination, the correct door to choose is the North West door. You may also want to take the South East door as there’s a chest there with a Mini Medal inside. Although you don’t really need those if you use our guide on how to farm Mini Medals in Dragon Quest Heroes 2.

The fabled Mini Medals currency returns in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 and they can be used to purchase some of the most powerful weapons in the game. This guide will tell you How To Farm Mini Medals In Dragon Quest Heroes 2 so you can gather lots of Mini Medals quickly, and without much of a challenge.

Mini Medals are a special currency in Dragon Quest Heroes 2. You can obtain them at a very early stage of the game but you cannot spend them until much later. Continue to progress through the story and eventually you will unlock Maxi Malone’s inside Accordia. Once you have unlocked that you can spend your Mini-Medals to purchase tons of weapons, some of which are among the most powerful in the game.

How To Farm Mini Medals In Dragon Quest Heroes 2

You can begin farming Mini Medals near the start of the game in Dungeon Quest Heroes 2, after unlocking multiplayer. You don’t need friends to farm Mini Medals in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 but it is MUCH faster if you can either form a party or join another.

Once you have unlocked the first dungeon, the one available at level 3, you can begin farming Mini Medals. Every time you complete the first dungeon you receive 2 Mini Medals and this can be done right the way up to level 20. Once you reach level 20 the monsters inside the dungeon become stronger, but then you’re rewarded with 4 Mini Medals per run. You can also sometimes get Mini Medals as random drops during the dungeon. It is possible doing it solo with AI companions but after reaching level 20, it can be quite time consuming to complete each dungeon run – depending on your class and battle style.

There are other ways of making the farming method more lucrative. There is a Party Power you can unlock called Monster Wrangler. This makes Monster Medals summons much more powerful – and the Monster Medals drop a lot within the dungeon.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Monster Medals Type Guide
Monster Medals make a triumphant return in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 and add a real depth to the combat system. This Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Monster Medals Type Guide introduces and explains the different types of Monster Medals you can obtain, which include Saviours, Substitutes and Sentries.

Once you reach a certain point in the story of Dragon Quest Heroes 2 you’ll be given a Monster Medal case and introduced to the different types of Monster Medals and how the mechanic works. Monster Medals are often found after defeating an enemy. Once collected they allow you to summon the monster in combat, coming to your aid in a variety of ways. There are 3 specific types of Monster Medals in the game, Saviours, Substitutes and Sentries. Each of which are explained below

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Monster Medals Type Guide Saviours

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Monster Medals Type Guide Saviours
The Saviour type Monster Medals in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 are very fast, single ability monster summons. Typically, once summoned, they launch or activate a single special ability and then flee from the battlefield. They can be used to clear large groups of enemies, apply beneficial effects to all party members and even remove buffs from enemies.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Monster Medals Type Guide Substitutes

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Monster Medals Type Guide Substitutes
The most powerful Monster Medal type in Dragon Quest Heroes 2, Substitutes. Once used they completely remove the character from battle, with a monster taking its place. They don’t last long but have access to 3 unique abilities, making them the perfect solution to a large-scale enemy problem.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Monster Medals Type Guide Sentries

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Monster Medals Type Guide Sentries
The Sentries Monster Medal type in Dragon Quest 2 summons a monster to fight at your side. These typically spawn at your location and continue to fight nearby enemies. They do follow the party but they move incredibly slow so they are often useful for a single battle. They remain at your side until they run out of HP and you can summon as many as your Monster Medals Case can hold. Due to their slow nature they can be great at leaving to defend an objective while progressing forward to the next.
