Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 (Kol & Galenholm) Side Quest Guide

Glutimus Side Quest 2
Quest: Add to the Bath House
Quest Guide: Glutimus wants you to add two Washtubs and three Towel Rails. You will need to find some vines in order to create cords and the fur drops from the Hammer guys to the East, on the cliff. Place them in the bath to complete the quest.
Reward: 5x White Petals

Glutimus Side Quest 3
Quest: Defend the Town 1
Quest Guide: You will have to defeat the enemies that attack the town, they spawn to the South West of town.
Reward: Seed Of Life x1

Glutimus Side Quest 4
Quest: Kill the enemy at the barricade
Quest Guide: There is a Barricade to the south with an enemy inside. Build a staircase up to the roof and jump in. Heal up and take down the enemy to beat the quest. Build a staircase out and return to Glutimus.
Reward: 3x Chimaera Wing

Glutimus Side Quest 5
Quest: Rescue Glutimus’s Friends
Quest Guide: Follow the quest marker to the first objective. It’s a ruined room with a note on top of a crate. Read the note to learn that Glutimus’s friends have retreated to a nearby mine. Inside the cave you’ll find Burley, speak with him and he’ll ask you for a Prickly Pear. Head outside the cave and look for the small, round cactus type plant. Destroy it and feed the Prickly Pear to Burley.

Quest: Build a Bedroom
Quest Guide: 2 Straw Mattresses and a light source
Reward: 1x Straw Mattress

Glutimus Side Quest 8
Quest: Rescue Glutimus’s Friend
Quest Guide: You can speak with Burley to have him accompany you on the quest. I suggest wearing at least Leather Armor and a Copper Sword. Head to the quest marker, defeat the enemies inside and loot the chest for the key to open the cell. Check outside the castle structure for Dragon Bones, they offer 500+ experience for your base.
Reward: Seed of Life x1

Glutimus Side Quest 9
Quest: Raise base level to 2
Quest Guide: Bedroom, Kitchen, Bath and a few decorations should be enough
Reward: Meat x3

Glutimus Side Quest 10
Quest: Defend the town
Quest Guide: Kill the monsters attacking the town. The final wave will spawn several Dancing Flames before a final boss. You cannot damage the Dancing Flames so ignore them and go for the mage enemy.
Reward: Blue Teleportal

Glutimus Side Quest 11
Quest: Make some Iron Ingots
Quest Guide: You need to make 10 Iron Ingots. Head through the Blue Teleportal and continue West. You’ll see a sign with directions to the Monster Mine. Continue West, through the castle gate structure. Follow the very edge of the lava around past the knight enemies and eventually you’ll find some Iron ore. There’s also a lot of other ores, grab as many as you can before returning to town.
Reward: Copper Ingot x5

Glutimus Side Quest 13
Quest: Steal the Design Documents from the Monsters Castle.

Quest Guide: You can bring Burley, Maxi and Glutimus with you if you want. There is probably more fighting in this one quest than every quest previously combined. Bring multiple weapons and as many healing items as you can.

Head through the Blue Teleportal and go South West until you reach the castle gates, take down the guards. Defeat them and take the Face Guard Fragment to unlock the Spiked Armor recipe. Keep going South, jump across the lava to the other castle gate structure. Follow the quest objective to move forward. When you reach the large open area with multiple enemies, check the structures either side for 2 chest. 1 is a Mimic that drops a ring to protect against sleep, the other side has a chest with a Strength ring inside. Continue through the area until you reach the prison. Speak with Barbella and she’ll tell you about a troll.

Defeat the troll and loot the chest for the Design documents.

Reward: Iron Ingot x3

Glutimus Side Quest 14
Quest: Build a Welder’s Workbench to make a Cannon.
Quest Guide: The Cannon requires Wood, which is incredibly scarce at this point of Chapter 3. Check out our where to find Wood guide for Chapter 3 for the exact location. It’s inside a chest directly West of the village marker on your compass inside the Blue Teleportal area. That’s if you have already gathered all the tree stumps from just outside the Blue Teleportal area.
Reward: Coal x10

Glutimus Side Quest 15
Quest: Rescue Barbella
Quest Guide: Head all the way back to Barbella inside the Monsters Castle and use the Cannon to destroy the walls to free her.
Reward: Seed of Life x1, Dumb Bells Recipe

Glutimus Side Quest 16
Quest: Upgrade base to level 3
Quest Guide: I’d already hit it by this point. Remember to keep your eye out for Dragon Skeletons, they’re good for improving experience for the base.
Reward: Bunicorn Steak x3

Glutimus Side Quest 17
Quest: Improve the base to level 4
Quest Guide: If you want to build Glutimus’s Blueprint you need to create Crockery first so that you can unlock how to make a Meat Feast. Then you just need a Searing Steak. You make it on the Barbecue. The rugs you can make from the Yeti type enemies fur are 500 points each.
Reward: Sardine-on-a-stick x5

Glutimus Side Quest 18
Quest: Repair the Broken Lyre
Quest Guide: Head through the Green Teleportal and head to the quest objective. There’s a fight with an Ice Troll so bring plenty of healing items, although you do not have to fight it to complete the quest, if you do try to remain between its legs and it’s not too difficult. Just West of the Ice Troll spawn is an “igloo”. It’s actually just a small pyramid of ice blocks. Ignore the first, check the one further West. That contains a chest with the Broken Lyre inside.

Fix up the Lyre of Ire and then give it to Galeleo at the next quest objective.

Reward: Squid-on-a-stick x5

Quest Guide: Collect 2 Cactus Cutlets from a Cactus and 1 piece of Coal from the mine

Burley Side Quest 2
Quest: Make a Searing Steak
Quest Guide: The Herloin Steak is from the larger rabbit enemies South of the town. The Chilli Peppers can be picked from plants through the Blue Portal. Check to the left as you enter for the gate guarded by 2 knights

Quest Guide: Basic materials. The flower you need grows in the Red Teleportal area.

Quest: Create Magic Ingots
Quest Guide: Collect Mechrochips from the robotic enemies through the Red Teleportal (North West of the entrance). Grab some Frost Orbs from the Frostburns enemies and some Flame Orbs from the Dancing Flames. Mythril can be found in small amounts at the Frozen Lakes.
Reward: Magic Armor & Weaponry, Thermobattery x10

Quest Guide: With Magic Armor and the Aurora Blade, it’s a simple fight.

Quest: Obtain Galeleo’s Research Records
Quest Guide: Head through the Green Teleportal and follow the quest marker. When you arrive interact with the robot and 7 enemies will spawn, take them out before speaking to the robot again. The frost hand can be a pain but if you build a wall 2 high behind you, you can attack melee without getting knocked back.
Reward: Magic Ingot x3

Barbella Side Quest 12
Quest: Check out Galeleo’s Storeroom
Quest Guide: Before you leave, build 20 Blue Blocks then head through the Green Teleportal area. Head to the quest objective and look for a raised area in the snow that leads down. Fill in the gaps with the Blue Blocks and then destroy the enemies that spawn before looting the Prototype Plans from the chest. This unlocks the ability to create a Vulcovoltaic Magimotor

Quest: Build the Bashmobile
Quest Guide: Head through the Red Teleportal and travel the the Monsters Castle. Follow the quest marker, although you’ll need to go North once you reach the water and cross the large bridge. When you reach the quest objective 8 robots will attack you. Take them out and loot the right chest for the Curious Contraption. Return and build the Bashmobile.

Quest Guide: Through the Blue Teleportal. It’s about as far North as it’s possible to go. You need to create 2x Straight Track, 1x Curved Track and 1x Sloped Track

Quest Guide: East from the Minecart track quests is a woman inside a bath with a giant troll outside. You need to block the hole the troll is looking through and then speak with the lady inside the bath.
