This is one of the longest chapter challenges in all of Dragon Quest Builders, rather fitting it would be placed in the final chapter. This Dragon Quest Builders Final Chapter Challenge – Show A Verdant Vision To A Certain Someone will cover the challenge asking you to show a verdant vision to a certain someone with a step by step guide on how to complete the challenges. In order to complete this challenge you must have progressed through to the very end of the final chapter, completing side quests to get the Rainbow Drop.

Dragon Quest Builders Final Chapter Challenge – Show A Verdant Vision To A Certain Someone

Before you begin your journey to complete this final chapter challenge you need to make sure you’ve got a shovel ready to go. You need to travel to visit Giant Slime Statues around the landscape and deliver specific plants. The first can be found just South of your base in Chapter 4 and you need to bring a Milkblossom. These are readily available as long as you have some Holy Water. Use it near skulls to create Milkblossoms and then dig one up with your spade. You will need to gather 2 for the quest altogether.

With your spade and Milkblossom in hand head back through the Blue Teleportal to the island you explored when you first arrived. From that old base head directly South and climb the mountain. You’ll see the slime sitting atop. Give the Slime the Milkblossom and then speak with him again to get the Clouded Memory.

The next Slime can be found in the main area, just North West of the castle you’re building. Before you go make sure you have a Daffodaisy. These can be dropped by the She-Slimes (orange Slimes) that are located a short walk South of the castle. They drop a blossom that you must plant and then harvest with a shovel. As before make sure you grab 2 Daffodaisy’s total.After you’ve got the Daffodaisy head North West for a minute or two. You’ll see the giant rock shape of the Slime quite easily. Give the She-Slime the Daffodaisy for another Clouded Memory.

The final slime, one of the gray ones, can be found in the area the other side of the Red Teleportal. Before you head through make sure you have a Coralily, these can be found around the West/South West of the castle, dropped by the flying eyeball enemies. Again, you will need to collect an additional one of these, so two Coralily total. Head through the Red Teleportal and then travel North East to the mountains, it’s another easy one to spot. Hand over the Coralily for your final Clouded Memory.

The metal slime is found beyond the Red Teleportal on top of a peak to the North-East. It desires to see a Coralily. You can find the blossoms by killing the purple Drackies to the West of Tantegel Castle. Plant the blossom and dig it back up with your shovel. Return to the metal slime with your Coralily to receive the third and final Clouded Memory.

To save yourself some time you want to bring a Diviner’s Altar with you (make sure to bring the correct altar, it’s the blue one), along with the additional flowers you’ve gathered and the Clouded Memories. Use the Rainbow Drop to travel to the Dragonlord’s Island.

Once on the island travel South, following the path. Eventually you’ll pass two Draconic Column’s and some Brazers. Keep going South, past the gated entrance and climb the mountains there. Little to the South West and you’ll see another Slime-shaped formation up ahead. Climb to the top to speak with the King Slime. He will teach you the Verdant Vision recipe. Put down your Diviner’s Altar, make the Verdant Memory and speak to him again to complete the quest.

The Final Chapter of Dragon Quest Builders provides yet more difficult and rewarding challenges for you to complete to unlock recipes in Terra Incognita mode. This Dragon Quest Builders Final Chapter Challenge – Find The Sword Of Ruin focuses on the Sword of Ruin challenge, locating a cursed sword that rivals that of even the Sword of Kings.

Dragon Quest Builders Final Chapter Challenge – Find The Sword Of Ruin

The Sword of Ruin is one of the few hidden weapons in the game and although it’s powerful, that power comes at a price. If you equip the Sword of Ruin you are unable to switch to any other weapons – this includes the likes of swords, mallets and spades – until the Sword of Ruin is broken. You don’t have to equip it to complete the challenge in the Final Chapter so just a friendly word of warning.

Head back through the Blue Teleportal so you arrive on the very first island you reached in the Final Chapter. Once inside journey South East up the large mountain and continue in that direction. You’ll see some torches in the distance, head towards them. Destroy the blocks blocking the way to Tantegel Sanctuary. Work your way through the Sanctuary, making sure to kill any of the large skeletons you encounter, they drop keys that open doors to treasure chest rooms. One of the locked doors leads into a room that appears empty. It h as a mound of mossy blocks inside.

Destroy the mossy blocks to reveal another staircase leading to another level. Head down there, killing skeletons for keys and opening locked doors. The final room includes the Sword of Ruin.

Chapter 1 of Dragon Quest Builders introduces the exciting Challenge mechanic, providing 5 challenges for players to complete for each Chapter. This Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 1 Challenge Guide – Build A Cantlin Garden covers one of the hardest challenges to finish in the first chapter of Dragon Quest Builders.

Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 1 Challenge Guide – Build A Cantlin Garden

The first thing you need to do before building the Cantlin Garden is make a spade. Once you’ve got your spade you need to gather some basic ingredients in order to complete the Cantlin Garden.

Wooden Door
1x Brazier
1x Bench
10x Plants (You can gather Milkblosson outside of town with your spade)
5x Grass (Also outside your base with a spade)
1x Plumberry Tree (You need to build within range of an existing tree.

The other ingredient you need, and one you cannot farm, is 8 blocks of water. Head East of your village down to the small lake nearby. In the South East shore you’ll see some trees. This is where you want to build your garden. Ensure the tree is inside the walls of your room and that there’s 8 blocks of water within the walls, then simply add the rest of the items.

As with completing previous chapters in Dragon Quest Builders the final chapter culminates in a boss battle against the infamous Dragonlord. This Dragon Quest Builders How To Defeat The Final Boss – The Dragonlord will tell you how to defeat the boss so you can restore light to the world and continue building to the limits of your imagination.

Dragon Quest Builders How To Defeat The Final Boss – The Dragonlord

The Dragonlord boss battle comes in different waves. The initial wave is simple. As pictured above the Dragonlord is at the far end of his throne room. As soon as the battle starts place down 2 cannons, if you take too long you’ll be cursed and unable to use items. When the Dragonlord spawns his minions simply use the cannons to take them out. Do this until his shield drops and then keep firing both cannons to take him down. You only have to remove his shield twice using this method, making the first wave incredibly easy.

The second stage is far more difficult than the first and you lose all items as soon as the second stage begins, The Dragonlord’s True Form. During the first wave of this battle the Dragonlord has 2 abilities. Bite and a smoke attack. He will take turns using them – bite, smoke, bite, smoke etc. Some allies will drop healing supplies and some Cantlin Shields. Move to the opposite end of the walkway to avoid the smoke attack and then deploy the Cantlin Shield for his next attack, stunning his bite and letting you do damage.

Once you’ve repeated that process a few times the next wave begins. During this wave the Dragonlord will spawn minions and launch an attack at you. When you see the warning message that the Dragonlord is charging, just keep moving. Then between charges take down the minions – making sure to keep your health topped up and grab the items put down by your allies. At the end of this wave an ally will spawn and drop you blocks. You have to build a tower quickly. Jump holding R1 and place blocks until you’re above his reach, you need to be at least 6 blocks high.

Cannons will be dropped, put them down when the Dragonlord retreats to a distance and fire them as quickly as possible. If you can avoid standing close to them his long range attack won’t destroy them. If they are destroyed more will spawn in for you. Bunny Burgers and Sailor Stew’s drop, use those to increase attack and defense. After a few hits with the cannons the Dragonlord will revert to the past stage of summoning minions, except this time it’s dragons. These die in 4-5 hits with the buffs on so just be sure to avoid their attacks before countering.

The final wave is a mix of all. He will attack from distance with multiple shadow balls, then come in for his attack that covers the whole walkway and then finally a bite. Dodge the first two, using cannons to counter his range if possible, and then use the Cantlin Shield to stun. You can use the Bashmobile for some large damage up close.

The Final Chapter of Dragon Quest Builders sees you venture into Tantegal. This Dragon Quest Builders Final Chapter Tantegel Side Quest Guide will cover all of the side quests you’ll come across as well as information on rewards and information to help you complete it.

Final Chapter Introduction Quest

There’s a short quest line before you actually arrive in Tantegel. When you first enter the Final Chapter destroy the Huge Horns nearby then follow Myrlund to the base. You also get a Green Naviglobe. Put this at the base as its location is not marked like it has been previously. Build a bucket after speaking with him and head to the quest objective. When you arrive at the objective grab some Pure Water for later in the quest and then read the book. You have to gather water 1 block from the Filter Fountain for it to be Pure Water. Before heading to the next quest objective destroy the Filter Fountain that turns normal water into Pure Water and take that with you. Head towards the next quest objective. When you reach the fire read the nearby note on the crate. Climb the mountain to the East and continue East until you reach a corpse.

Investigate the corpse before destroying the blocks ahead to unlock the Hidden Visage. Work you way through to the final room to proceed with the quest. There’s a dragon at the end but worry not, it’s not as fierce as those you’ve met previously. Destroy the Diviners Altar and bring it with you back to base.

You can place the Filter Fountain in the small body of water at the base, making it much quicker to gather. Then use the Diviners Altar to build the Holy Water speak to Myrlund and then use the Holy Water on the statue. Speak to both of the NPC’s, place the Blue Teleportal, sleep and then speak once again before you can go through the Blue Teleportal.

Once through the Blue Teleportal head West to the ruins of the castle and read the book. It tells you that the Banner of Hope for the Final Chapter has been stolen and is locked away in the ruins to the South. If you first check West of the castle you’ll see a sign post under a floating group of blocks. Use Holy Water on the blocks to remove the curse and turn the blocks into valuable ores.

Using these ores and other nearby materials you can build a forge and get at least Iron weapons and armor, making the earlier stages much easier. For Vines you need to use the Holy Water to turn them into a resource you can destroy. Head South to the large castle and go inside. Clear out the 11 enemies and loot the chests to obtain the Banner of Hope. If food is a problem build a Fishing Rod and fish in the area around the Banner of Hope flagstone at the ruined castle.

Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 Challenge Guide – Defeat All Boss Trolls and Giganteses

One of the most difficult elements of completing the Chapter 3 challenges in Dragon Quest Builders is taking down the Giganteses. This Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 Challenge Guide – Defeat All Boss Trolls and Giganteses guide will tell you where you can find each of the enemies you have to kill so you can be sure to have the challenge completed by the end of Chapter 3.

Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 Challenge Guide – Defeat All Boss Trolls and Giganteses

Although you’re able to kill the Trolls and Giganteses earlier I would highly suggest you wait until you’ve unlocked the ability to craft Magical Armour and the Aurora Sword. This makes the battles far easier and less frustrating, whilst also making it simpler for defeating additional enemies that may spawn during the fight. As always, I suggest you bring plenty of healing items and be sure to recruit all of your village to fight with you after you complete most of the Chapter 3 side quests.

Troll Location #1
Impossible to miss. Directly South of town through the gateway that was guarded at the beginning of the game. Take him down for a Vile Visage drop.

Troll Location #2
The second Troll can be found through the Blue Teleportal. Once inside head South until you reach the castle like structure with the gate. Continue through it and proceed South into the castle. Take a right as you enter and then go forward through another gate, you’ll see the Troll on your right behind another gate.

Giganteses Location #1
The first Giganteses enemy can be found through the Red Teleportal area. Once inside head North West to the signpost below the large snow structure that looks like a snowman. You should see the Giganteses directly North West of you.

Giganteses Location #2
The final part of this puzzle can be take down in the final area through the Green Teleportal. Once inside head up the mountain to the South. Climb the mountain and then head South East. From there you should notice some small ice structures in the distance that are meant to be igloos, they look like small pyramids. These are part of a quest earlier so you should recognize them. The Giganteses is between the structures.

Chapter 3 of Dragon Quest Builders continues to provide challenging and rewarding Challenges to unlock stuff for use in other modes. This Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 Challenge Guide – Obtain Recipe For The Lyre Of Slime Immemorial will show you where you can find the recipe so you can complete the challenge in Chapter 3.

Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 Challenge Guide – Discover Recipe For The Lyre Of Slime Immemorial

You need to be able to craft the Blue Blocks so you can’t complete this until near the end of Chapter 3 after you learn the recipe through one of the side quests. Once you can craft them create 15 Blue Blocks. After you have your Blue Blocks head through the Red Teleportal and head North West until you reach the sign that says “Follow the Valley North” below the large snow structure that resembles a snowman. In the distance to the North East there’s a cave that leads into the black mountains. Head inside.

Once inside you’ll see a pattern on the floor that resembles a slime. Fill the spaces with Blue Blocks.

This will reveal a doorway ahead. Follow the path through, there’s a few dead ends but only 1 exit, and you’ll find the Lyre of Slime Immemorial recipe inside the chest.

You will need 15 blue blocks which you learned the recipe for during the story. Head to island 3 (Red transporter) and head north west towards the snowman looking structure as mention the challenge 3, first gigante. Now look north east from the snowman to see a relatively close black mountain. Trace the side of that mountain north to find a hole on the side of it with slime shaped hole in the ground and an evil idol. Simple fill in the slime shaped hole with the blue blocks and the evil idol will disappear. Go through the door and follow the cave to the end. There will be many dead ends so just keep looking for the right path. At the end you should find the recipe for the lyre of slime immemorial within the chest.

Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 provides yet more rewarding challenges to complete once you’ve gone through the story once or twice. This Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 Challenge Guide – Build The Superior Spa will tell you how to build the Superior Spa and where to find the blueprint.

Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 Challenge Guide – How To Build The Superior Spa

The Superior Spa is not a room recipe that you can create simply by placing the correct items in a room, you need the actual blueprint to place down and then match piece by piece. The Spectacular Spa blueprint can be found within the Green Teleportal area. Once through the Green Teleportal area head South over the mountains and continue South. You’ll see a cave. Within the cave is a chest that contains the blueprints.

Once you have the blueprints you need to place it inside your base and build it. You need a LOT of materials. The majority are easily available although a couple may prove difficult to find.

Where To Find The Fierce Fountain
This one is in the Blue Teleportal area. The very, very far North East corner of the map. Past the Chalky Mountains to the cleaner water (not lava) and some greenery. It’s not far from the hidden quests where you have to build the minecart track. Fill the gap in the wall the troll is looking through to make it vanish then speak with the woman inside.

How To Make Tea Service
You first need to create Crockery and a Cake. To make the Cake you need Wheat, Sugar Cane, Heart Fruit and Dracky Butter. Sugar Cane and Heart Fruit are found throughout the Green Teleportal region. The Dracky Butter drops from a Yellow Dracky, the floating eyeball enemies, that can be found inside the Red Teleportal area. Finally, the Wheat, which can be found inside the Blue Teleportal area. Travel West up the mountain and continue across the mountain top. Eventually the snow ends and you reach a brown mountain with Wheat on top.

Quest Guide: This is the first quest you get when you get to town. You just have to go fill in the holes in the bath and clear the earth from the floor.

Glutimus Side Quest 2
Quest: Add to the Bath House
Quest Guide: Glutimus wants you to add two Washtubs and three Towel Rails. You will need to find some vines in order to create cords and the fur drops from the Hammer guys to the East, on the cliff. Place them in the bath to complete the quest.
Reward: 5x White Petals

Glutimus Side Quest 3
Quest: Defend the Town 1
Quest Guide: You will have to defeat the enemies that attack the town, they spawn to the South West of town.
Reward: Seed Of Life x1

Glutimus Side Quest 4
Quest: Kill the enemy at the barricade
Quest Guide: There is a Barricade to the south with an enemy inside. Build a staircase up to the roof and jump in. Heal up and take down the enemy to beat the quest. Build a staircase out and return to Glutimus.
Reward: 3x Chimaera Wing

Quest: Rescue Glutimus’s Friends
Quest Guide: Follow the quest marker to the first objective. It’s a ruined room with a note on top of a crate. Read the note to learn that Glutimus’s friends have retreated to a nearby mine. Inside the cave you’ll find Burley, speak with him and he’ll ask you for a Prickly Pear. Head outside the cave and look for the small, round cactus type plant. Destroy it and feed the Prickly Pear to Burley.
Reward: Seed of Life x1

Quest: Build a Bedroom

Quest Guide: You can speak with Burley to have him accompany you on the quest. I suggest wearing at least Leather Armor and a Copper Sword. Head to the quest marker, defeat the enemies inside and loot the chest for the key to open the cell. Check outside the castle structure for Dragon Bones, they offer 500+ experience for your base.

Quest: Raise base level to 2
Quest Guide: Bedroom, Kitchen, Bath and a few decorations should be enough
Reward: Meat x3

Glutimus Side Quest 10
Quest: Defend the town
Quest Guide: Kill the monsters attacking the town. The final wave will spawn several Dancing Flames before a final boss. You cannot damage the Dancing Flames so ignore them and go for the mage enemy.
Reward: Blue Teleportal

Glutimus Side Quest 11
Quest: Make some Iron Ingots
Quest Guide: You need to make 10 Iron Ingots. Head through the Blue Teleportal and continue West. You’ll see a sign with directions to the Monster Mine. Continue West, through the castle gate structure. Follow the very edge of the lava around past the knight enemies and eventually you’ll find some Iron ore. There’s also a lot of other ores, grab as many as you can before returning to town.
Reward: Copper Ingot x5

Glutimus Side Quest 12
Quest: Defend the town
Quest Guide: Kill the monsters attacking the town
Reward: Seed of Life x1

Glutimus Side Quest 13
Quest: Steal the Design Documents from the Monsters Castle.

Quest Guide: You can bring Burley, Maxi and Glutimus with you if you want. There is probably more fighting in this one quest than every quest previously combined. Bring multiple weapons and as many healing items as you can.

Head through the Blue Teleportal and go South West until you reach the castle gates, take down the guards. Defeat them and take the Face Guard Fragment to unlock the Spiked Armor recipe. Keep going South, jump across the lava to the other castle gate structure. Follow the quest objective to move forward. When you reach the large open area with multiple enemies, check the structures either side for 2 chest. 1 is a Mimic that drops a ring to protect against sleep, the other side has a chest with a Strength ring inside. Continue through the area until you reach the prison. Speak with Barbella and she’ll tell you about a troll.

Defeat the troll and loot the chest for the Design documents.

Glutimus Side Quest 14
Quest: Build a Welder’s Workbench to make a Cannon.
Quest Guide: The Cannon requires Wood, which is incredibly scarce at this point of Chapter 3. Check out our where to find Wood guide for Chapter 3 for the exact location. It’s inside a chest directly West of the village marker on your compass inside the Blue Teleportal area. That’s if you have already gathered all the tree stumps from just outside the Blue Teleportal area.

Quest Guide: Head all the way back to Barbella inside the Monsters Castle and use the Cannon to destroy the walls to free her.

Quest Guide: I’d already hit it by this point. Remember to keep your eye out for Dragon Skeletons, they’re good for improving experience for the base.

Quest: Improve the base to level 4
Quest Guide: If you want to build Glutimus’s Blueprint you need to create Crockery first so that you can unlock how to make a Meat Feast. Then you just need a Searing Steak. You make it on the Barbecue. The rugs you can make from the Yeti type enemies fur are 500 points each.
Reward: Sardine-on-a-stick x5

Glutimus Side Quest 18
Quest: Repair the Broken Lyre
Quest Guide: Head through the Green Teleportal and head to the quest objective. There’s a fight with an Ice Troll so bring plenty of healing items, although you do not have to fight it to complete the quest, if you do try to remain between its legs and it’s not too difficult. Just West of the Ice Troll spawn is an “igloo”. It’s actually just a small pyramid of ice blocks. Ignore the first, check the one further West. That contains a chest with the Broken Lyre inside.

Fix up the Lyre of Ire and then give it to Galeleo at the next quest objective.

Reward: Squid-on-a-stick x5

Quest Guide: Collect Mechrochips from the robotic enemies through the Red Teleportal (North West of the entrance). Grab some Frost Orbs from the Frostburns enemies and some Flame Orbs from the Dancing Flames. Mythril can be found in small amounts at the Frozen Lakes.

Quest Guide: Head through the Green Teleportal and follow the quest marker. When you arrive interact with the robot and 7 enemies will spawn, take them out before speaking to the robot again. The frost hand can be a pain but if you build a wall 2 high behind you, you can attack melee without getting knocked back.
Reward: Magic Ingot x3

Barbella Side Quest 12
Quest: Check out Galeleo’s Storeroom
Quest Guide: Before you leave, build 20 Blue Blocks then head through the Green Teleportal area. Head to the quest objective and look for a raised area in the snow that leads down. Fill in the gaps with the Blue Blocks and then destroy the enemies that spawn before looting the Prototype Plans from the chest. This unlocks the ability to create a Vulcovoltaic Magimotor
Reward: Power Crystal x3

Quest: Build the Bashmobile
Quest Guide: Head through the Red Teleportal and travel the the Monsters Castle. Follow the quest marker, although you’ll need to go North once you reach the water and cross the large bridge. When you reach the quest objective 8 robots will attack you. Take them out and loot the right chest for the Curious Contraption. Return and build the Bashmobile.
Reward: 3x Medicinal Herb

Where To Find Wood In Chapter 3 Of Dragon Quest Builders

Each Chapter of Dragon Quest Builders provides different challenges in regards to what materials and items are rare and difficult to make. Chapter 3 is almost totally void of Wood, bar one location. This Where To Find Wood In Chapter 3 Of Dragon Quest Builders guide will show you where to find wood so you can build the Cannon.

Where To Find Wood In Chapter 3 Of Dragon Quest Builders

You’re not able to find enough Wood to build the Colossal Coffer early on in Chapter 3 but one of the quests in Chapter 3 requires you to build a Cannon, which requires 5 pieces of Wood. There is a single chest that contains enough Wood but not enough to build the Colossal Coffer, which you can build later in the Chapter when Wood becomes more common.

The screenshot at the top of the article shows where you must go to find the chest containing the Wood. It’s literally in a direct straight line West of the village, but it’s inside the Blue Teleportal area. Keep walking with the village flag behind you on your compass and eventually you’ll reach a small group of castle structures and a gate, quite widely separated. There’s another room nearby with 3 guards but that’s not the one you want.

Search the castle structure West of that location. The chest is locked initially but just take out the guard and you’re good to go.

Update: I had a real DERP moment here. There’s actually a ton of stumps just North West after you enter the Blue Teleportal.
