A Substory in DBZ Kakarot requires you to catch two certain fish. This guide on Where To Find The Goliath & Scarlet Catfish In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will tell you exactly where you need to go in order to find both the Goliath Catfish and the Scarlet Catfish.

This guide is going to assume you understand fishing and how to target specific fish in the water once you cast your tail. If you’re not familiar with the mechanics, be sure to read our Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Fishing Guide, it’s short, but explains how you can choose which fish you catch – out of those you can see visually in the water.

Where To Find The Goliath & Scarlet Catfish In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

The Goliath Catfish can be caught right next to where you receive the Substory Yajirobe and Korin. There is a fishing spot right next to Yajirobe. The Goliath Catfish is easy to catch. Ignore the small fish, look for the fish with the biggest fin, it’s always big enough to be partially above the water. Target those fish and you’ll catch the Goliath in one or two attempts.

The Scarlet Catfish is in exactly the same place. However, it appears to spawn more frequently with bait. I fished for about 20 attempts, catching only Goliath Catfish. When I used bait to make fish appear more frequently, I caught the Scarlet Catfish back to back. Be sure to use bait, and target the fish with the bigger fins.
