Dragon Age 2 Demon Slayer Trophy/Achievement

This is the last trophy/achievement that I missed in Dragon Age 2. It is called Demon Slayer and you must slay the ancient demon Hybris. This quest isn’t able to be done until act 3 so if you are in act 1 or 2 then don’t bother looking for these. You must find three Awiergan Scrolls and complete a quest for each one. The quest won’t start until you find at least one so don’t worry if it isn’t in your quest log right away.

Getting this trophy/achievement in Dragon Age 2 may contain spoilers so beware.

Alright first Awiergan Scroll we are going to get is in the Wounded Coast. Keep going and take the first south fork and check the dead end to find the Awiergan Scroll. After picking it up it will tell you to go to a hidden lair. In order to find the hidden lair take the southern path and head west. You will be attacked by some corpses and a Medan. Finish them and complete the first part of the Demon Slayer trophy/achievement.

The second Awiergan Scroll is in Sundermount. Right before you go into the Dalish Camp take the south fork and you should see the Awiergan Scroll. Grab it and it will give you a quest. Head through the camp and go up the mountain and you will be ambushed by some shades and an Arcane horror.

The last Awiergan Scroll is also in Sundermount. In the same spot you just got ambushed behind a wall you will find it. For this one you have to go up the mountain and go through it past the shrine. You will be ambushed by some different enemies. Kill them and head to Dark town to finish this.

Once in Dark Town go to Ander’s Clinic. Right next to it is the last Hidden Lair. Inside you will find Hybris. Kill Hybris to get your Demon Slayer trophy/achievement and be closer to getting 100% on the game.

I know there may be some more miss-able trophy/achievements in Dragon Age 2 but these are the only ones I missed if you need help with something else request it and I’ll post it.

Killing The Undying Xebenkeck In DA 2

Once you start act 2 in Dragon Age 2 you will also get a ton more side quests. Killing the Undying Xebeneck isn’t  a quest in the traditional sense because you don’t have a marker for it. You have to search all over Kirkwall and the out laying areas. You have to find five evil tomes. Possible spoilers ahead.

Anyways for those of you who didn’t know killing the undying Xebeneck is a Trophy/achievement called  Exorcist in Dragon Age 2. It has multiple parts but as long as you don’t go to the third chapter you will be able to go back if you miss one.

First thing you need to know about this is that when you find an Evil Tome you have to destroy them. Don’t try to get power or whatever out of it or you can’t summon the demon. Also after doing whatever with the Evil Tome you will have to fight some demons.

Also if you want Merril to be a friend instead of rival don’t bring her she doesn’t like you destroying the books it turns out. -10 per book destroyed.

Two of the Evil tomes are in Kirkwall. The first is in the Chantry. Take the stairs to the south and go into the room there. Or just click select and see it on the map since you are in the right area.

The second is in the Viscount’s Keep. Once you enter pretty much just head straight take the stairs up and go into the back room. You should see the tome on a bench.

Now we leave Kirkwall. Hit the Bone Pit first and enter the cave. Check your map once inside and find the Evil Tome deeper in the cave.

Now head to the Wounded Coast. Head north and take the third fork in the road and head left. Keep going until you find the Dank Cave. Check your map and find it in the cave.

The Last Evil Tome is in Sundermount. Go past the Dalish camp and stay on the western path. You will see a cave. Enter it and use your map to find the last one.

Alright with all the Evil Tomes destroyed its time to kill the undying Xebenkeck and get the Excorsist trophy/achievement.

Head to Dark Town and enter the Evil pit. You will find a Fell Tome. You can use this one to increase your abilities if you want. After doing that it will be time to kill the undying Xebeneck. She is just a desire demon who can summon more demons. Kill her to get the Excorsist trophy/achievement.

So there you have it killing the undying Xebeneck in Dragon Age 2. Not really hard just a tad time consuming for the Excorsist trophy/achievement. Good luck in the fight.

Dragon Age 2: Earning The Arishok's Respect

During my play through of Dragon Age 2 I thought I was going to get the trophy/achievement for earning the Arishok’s respect, but as it turns out it is a bit tricky to get. Heads up if you’re not in act 2 yet (after the Deep Roads) then you may want to avoid this guide until you are done with that. Possible spoilers ahead!

You have to be honest and respectful with the Arishok always remember that.

At the start of act 2 in Dragon Age 2 you will get a quest called Black Powder Courtesy from the Viscount.  Once that is completed he will ask you to talk with Seneschal Brann and he will give you a quest called Offered and Lost. Avoid doing it for the moment and go speak to the Arishok and tell him Your delegate is missing.

Alright now it is time to do Offered and Lost. After killing Ser Varnell you will have a talk with the Viscount. Tell him Do not hide it, he will know.

The last thing you have to do to earn the Arishok’s respect in Dragon Age 2 is during the quest Demands of the Qun. Once you get Demands of the Qun do not go to the docks right away. Instead make sure you have Fenris with you and you save. I have had this glitch on me once so be sure to save. Now head down to speak with the Arishok. Be as truthful as you can with him and you will earn the Arishok’s respect netting you the trophy/achievement A worthy Rival. Then you can continue with the story.

So there you have it the way to earn the Arishok’s respect in Dragon Age 2 as well as the trophy/achievement A worthy Rival. I hope it wasn’t to hard for you and you 100% the game.

Archeologist Trophy/Achievement For Dragon Age 2

I just got done finishing Dragon Age 2 and even though I thought I got everything I ended up missing this. The Archeologist trophy/achievement requires you to find The Enigma of Kirkwall(Which is a Codex entry) over 3 separate acts. Follow this guide to get the Archeologist trophy/achievement! Minor spoilers ahead you have been warned!

First off you only need 3 per year to get the Archeologist trophy/achievement so don’t fret if you miss one. I will list which area The Enigma of Kirkwall is in but you will have to search the area on your own.

Act 1(Before you go into the Deep Roads) – The Gallows, The Bone Pit, Viscount’s Keep and Lowtown(At night)

Act 2(After returning from the Deep Roads and having to talk with the Qunari) Darktown, Chantry, Gallows(Dissent quest area), and the Docks (Qunari compound)

Act 3( After dealing with the Qunari) All of these are found during quests. The Last Straw quest(docks), the Justice Quest line has 2 (For Anders) and Gamlen’s Greatest Treasure quest.

If you need to know how you are doing check your codex and see how many times it is signed by The Band of Three.

Well that finishes the Archeologist trophy/achievement hope you didn’t have to much trouble with it. Just be sure to get three per act and you will be fine.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Where To Claim DLC Items In Dragon Age 2

Alright I’ve been asked this a few times by a few different people that see me playing Dragon Age 2 on my console. Where do I get my DLC items in Dragon Age 2? Even I was curious about where to pick them up when I started. Minor spoilers ahead!

Dragon Age 2 has a prologue of sorts before you get to the main setting called Kirkwall. After completing it you are thrown into the very beginning of Kirkwall which has almost no exploration. You side with someone and complete a couple quests then a year passes. This is when the real Dragon Age 2 begins. You will have a set main quest you must do to continue the game but for now you can explore the city and its outskirts.

First thing you will want to do is visit you Uncle Gamlin’s house and check the chest there. Where do I get my dlc items for Dragon Age 2? Well right here of course and if your like me you should have plenty. One for beating the Dragon Age 2 demo, Two things for a million people playing the demo, and whatever your DLC was you got with the game. If you bought Dead Space 2 you will also get a set of armor from that. Also if you want a free staff go and sign up for the official newsletter here http://dragonage.bioware.com/da2/info/parthalan/ and get a belt for signing up for the Penny Arcade one as well.

Enjoy the game and happy hunting!
