Doom 2016 introduce Secrets in a fun and exciting way. Special guns, unique abilities, collectibles, lots of the games best content was hidden away waiting to be discovered. For better or worse, Doom Eternal does things a little differently. Much of the difficulty and challenge of locating and collecting secrets is still there but the reward isn’t quite as exciting.

A lot of the secrets are boring consumable items, such as health or armor, some are a little more exciting with toys and albums, but there’s only one meaningful secret collectible item hidden behind all of the Slayer Gates.

That said, there’s still a lot of accomplishment to finding all of the Secrets in each level. There’s tons of items to find, pieces to collect for the Fortress of Doom and more. Below is a list of all of our Doom Eternal guides, in each level we have found 100% all secrets that are collectible items, even some additional ones like Extra Lives if you’re struggling on the latest boss fight or Secret Encounter.

Toys, new weapons, Doom Eternal has tons of different items you can collect. Some of these are immediately beneficial, such as increasing your armor, health, or ammo count, but others are more subtle. Albums are one of the many items that you can find in the 13 different levels of Doom Eternal. Sometimes they are considered secrets, other times they are simply items that you pick up in-between slaughtering legions of hells finest.

How To Listen To Albums In Doom Eternal

Anyway, when you discover an album it unlocks the ability to play it as the soundtrack to the game when you are in the Fortress of Doom, Doom Guy’s home base if you will. When you find an Album a poster will appear on the wall, they are scattered all over the Fortress of Doom. Simply walk up to one and interact with it. This will start the audio track playing in the background while you explore and unlock new things fore your Doom guy to use.

Almost every level in Doom Eternal is filled to the brim with collectible items. Some of these are very valuable, increasing your health or armor, unlocking powerful weapons, or just giving you some completion stats to brag about. Love it or hate it, Doom Eternal is a fantastic game for collectors looking to explore every possible corner of every level. So, what about toys?

There’s a specific room, shown in the image above. This is Doom Guys room. There’s plenty of Easter Eggs from other Bethesda games and tons of throwbacks to the old Doom games. There’s also a huge shelving unit where Doom Guy can store his toys. This is where you go to interact with the toys.

They are basically really detailed model viewers. You can examine enemies you’ve defeated, bosses you’ve encountered, and other iconic figures from the Doom universe. The Secrets are scattered throughout the level, offering Extra Lives for the battles ahead. There’s some really challenging fight sequences in this area so unless you’re Doom Guy levels of confident, you probably want to pick them up along the way. Just in case, right?

Doom Eternal Final Sin Secret Locations Guide

Final Sin Secret #1

Right near the beginning of the level. Destroy the wall, climb the shelves, and go through the ventilation shaft for the secret

Reward: Extra Life

Final Sin Secret #2

When you jump across the two buildings, go to the left side once you reach the other side. There’s another secret here.

Reward: Extra Life

Final Sin Secret #3

When you reach the two elevators, ignore the right one at first. Look into the broken one on the left. There’s a switch you can shoot. Once you shoot it, climb the elevator to the right and then check the left elevator on the next floor. You can now pass it to reach this secret.

Reward: Extra Life

Final Sin Secret #4

As you get closer to the top floor, after you make the big jump leading to the stairs, circle around the stairs to the other side of the organic growth coming from the center of the building. There’s a wall here you can destroy for a secret.

Urdak Secret #1

When you reach this room, go back to the door you entered through and look up. There’s a green light that you can shoot to lower a platform. Once the platform is lowered, let it raise to the wall and then climb up.

Reward: Mastery Token

Urdak Secret #2

When you reach this location the objective takes you to the right, through the small hole. However, first go left, to the ledge in the top right. Destroy the wall and behind it is this secret.

Reward: Album Found (Quake II: Descent Into Cerberon)

Urdak Secret #3

After the fight in this room a nearby door opens and reveals a large crate you can punch. Push it to the edge of the room so you can reach the entrance to this secret.

Reward: Secret Encounter

Urdak Secret #4

When you reach this location, drop off the edge and boost under the platform. There’s a secret there.
Reward: Toy Found (Khan Moyr)

Urdak Secret #5

Jump from these platforms and then boost to the ledge. Destroy the wall to reveal the secret

Reward: Praetor Coin

Urdak Secret #6

There are two routes you can go so this may be confusing if you went another route. I chose to take the right booster pad. After you follow the boosters, grab the wall and swing from the bars to enter the new area, turn and see this wall to destroy.

Reward: Extra Life, Secret Encounter

Urdak Secret #7

Before using the boost pad here, turn around and look at the nearby wall. There’s some weak wall you can break to reach the secret.

Reward: Cheat Code (Powerup Mode Berserk)

When you reach the room with the spinning fire devices, there’s a secret below the entrance

When you enter the room with the swirling air currents. On the left side there is a spike wall moving up and down. Wait until it moves up, then jump across to destroy the wall.

When you reach this large booster pad. There’s a piece of wall halfway up that you can dash into and break to reveal the secret

Right at the end of the level. Instead of dropping to your death through this doorway, turn around as you drop and boost into the secret location.

This secret is likely available at the start but I skipped it and returned with fast travel. Look down the side of the bridge and there is a booster platform. Use that to reach the three floating platforms and the secret

Like all previous levels, at the end of Nekravol you do unlock fast travel. So if you reach a secret that you cannot get or our help isn’t accurate enough, you can always proceed to the end of the level and return to explore again once you have unlocked the ability to fast travel.

Use the moving crates to reach the wall so you can climb across. Jump to the switch and then head to the secret

The earlier secrets on Taras Nabad are quite complex compared to previous levels in Doom Eternal. Hidden switches, statues you can destroy, light puzzles. The order I have the secrets in down below are not the earliest order you can acquire each secret but follow it through and use fast travel at the end of the level to get all of the secrets.

Doom Eternal Taras Nabad Secrets Guide

Taras Nabad Secret #1

Near the start of the level. Where I am standing, drop down the edge and destroy the wall.

Reward: Sentinel Battery

Taras Nabad Secret #2

As you are crossing this bridge, drop down to the right and then go underneath.

Reward: Album Found (Doom 2016 – BFG Edition)

Taras Nabad Secret #3

There’s a wall to destroy here and then inside that room, with the Secret Encounter, is a flip you can switch to lift a nearby gate.

Reward: Mastery Token

Taras Nabad Secret #4

Break the wall at this location to reveal the Secret
Reward: Cheat Code: Power Up Mode Overdrive

Taras Nabad Secret #5

Break the wall at this location to reveal another secret

This one is a tough one. First, use the switch behind and under the throne to activate the jump pads. Then use the jump pads to jump into the wall at the top and break it.

There is a ? behind a grate at this location. Directly where I am facing below, there is a statue kneeling down. Punch the statue to destroy it and use the button hidden behind. This activates the fountain up the stairs. Stand on the fountain on the staircase and as it drops, it opens the grate concealing the secret

Reward: Toy Found (Cyber Mancubus)

Taras Nabad Secret #8

At the end of this large room, near all the stain-glass windows, there’s a crouching statue on the right. Destroy the statue with a punch to reveal a switch and then hit the switch.

Then knock the weight down onto the floor in the section that just opened to reveal the secret.

Reward: Sentinel Battery

Taras Nabad Secret #9

This is possible the most challenging and irritating secret in the game. Standing where I am above, look down the deep hole. Partway down there is a wall that you can dash into and break. The secret is behind there.

It’s mostly a level to introduce players further into the lore of Doom Guy. You get a sneak peak at the history of the Doom Guy and his potential origins. It’s a level where almost all of the collectible items are lore-based, bits of story thrown in to accompany the visual story in the mission. There are only two secrets on this mission, both of which are incredibly obvious and very easy to get.
