Dunwall is home to a variety of hidden collectibles, items and rewards, one of which are locked safes. This Dishonored 2 Safe Location & Code (Dial) Guide will provide the location of every safe we’ve discovered in the game as well as the code to access the safe and finally the loot contained inside.
Below is a list of all the safes we’ve discovered so far in a chapter by chapter format. Simply click the + icon to expand a particular chapter. To view the next chapter close the + icon and then select the next chapter you which to see.
Safe Location #1
When you come out of the palace and you’re on the streets of Dunwall progress until you see a large “For Rent” sign on a house to the left. Search the door to the left of that one (as you look at it) for another door. Inside is the safe. The code is 451, the clue can be found behind the painting in the room. You get 2 Silver Bars and some bullets.
Safe Location #2
There’s a safe inside the Vice Overseers Office inside the Karnaca Enclave. There’s a room nearby with a projector inside. Grab the note off the table. It will tell you to remember 3 specific things. Go back to the safe and check the book on the bench to the right. Use the numbers from the Seven Strictures that were on the first note. For example it says remember Lying Tongue, Wanton Flesh & Restless Hands, the code would be 2, 6, 3. The code is unique to each player so you have to solve the puzzle to open it. You get Raw Whale Bone, a Rune and lots of Money.
Safe Location #3
As you progress, continue through until you reach the Carriage objective. Before you enter the station check nearby for a Winslow Safe Company shop. It’s near a large black and white banner that features Delilah Kaldwin. Inside is a Try to Unlock Me contest with a large Winslow safe. The combination is inside the cash register at the front of the shop. There’s a Bone Charm inside and 300 Money.
Safe Location #4
As you enter, head to the far right and go up to the broken walkway above. Just ahead there’s a room with a couple of safe’s inside. One is locked, one is open. The combination is on the table near the doorway in which you entered.
Safe Location #5
This one is during the story. Head towards the quest objective to meet Alexandria Hypatia. When you reach her don’t speak with her, instead explore a nearby room with an injured many lying in a bed. He will give you directions to the safe and the code, which was 587 for me.
Safe Location #6
Exit the sewers and take a left towards the map on the board up the stairs. Go down the left alley until you reach all the people and then enter the apartment. Upstairs in a room is a safe. To get the code for the safe check the blackboard in the nearby room. It will have 2 digits in the corner. Put in the 2 digits and then cycle the remaining digit until it opens. Contains Money.
Safe Location #7
To find the combination for this safe you must purchase the safe code document from the Black Market in this area. When you reach the Royal Conservatory there’s a Light Gate blocking the front door. Turn directly around so the gate is at your back and look up for a balcony. Head inside, watching for the Witch and Bloodflies, the safe is in the room with the Witch.
Safe Location #8 – How To Unlock The Black Market Code Door
This is actually the door to the Black Market but it’s coded this time. Walk around the back of the building to the alleyway and then look through the barred windows for a door blocked by wood. Destroy the wood, head back inside and up the stairs into the room. There is a Wedding Silvergraph behind a photograph near the desk at the end. It says Wed the Month of Rain. Head into the hallway in the house and you’ll notice a lot of numbers and a list of months. Check Rain, it was month 4 for me, and then the date circled on the calender, it was 21 for me. That’s your code.
Safe Location #9
This one is inside the Manor, it can be difficult to find. Use your Heart to locate the Black Boneshard, it’s near an elevator. The door is locked in both time periods but head to the present. Crawl under the desk near the wall, switch to the past and enter the room. Pick up the dog, put it inside the furnace and turn it on. Switch to the present and the bug nests will now be gone. You’ll see the safe door on the floor, remember the code and switch to the past.
Safe Location #10
Inside the shopkeepers apartment. Head to the safe shop and loot the register for a key. Then go to the door that leads to the Grand Palace but don’t go through. Check the nearby apartments, still looking for code solution for this one.
Safe Location #11
The safe can be found inside the Captain’s Quarters on the first floor. To get the code once inside the Grand Palace take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and enter the room on your right. In the far right corner is a small desk, not the main one, the smaller one. There’s a First Captain’s Safe note on the desk. That contains the code for this safe.
Safe Location #12
This safe is in the same location as the first time you visited this area. The code is also the same, the code that was behind the painting
