Duelist Luck and Void Favor – These are part of the Imperial Assassin’s pack you can get when you pre order the game. You will find these in your quarters after you get to the ship.

The Boneshards are different based upon who you play. The locations will be the same, the Shards will be different. We will list the locations and then list the effects below.

Edge Of The World Bonecharm 1 – This Bonecharm is in the condemned building with all the Bloodflies. Use one of the bottles of flammable liquid to set the nest on fire and you can find the charm inside.

Edge Of The World Bonecharm 2 – This Bonecharm is in Overseers Office, in the Interrogation Room. You can either pick pocket the main Overseer in his office for the key, or go out the window near the interrogation room and climb to the other side. This will make you invisible after you knock someone out or assassinate them, but you also make more noise and can be spotted easier when peaking.

Edge Of The World Bonecharm 3 – This Boneshard is right outside of the Overseers office.

Edge Of The World Bonecharm 4 – This is in an apartment near the Outsider Shrine on the floor. The Apartment is next to the Wall Of Light on the map.

Edge Of The World Bonecharm 5 – You will want to get this one right after the Whirlwind Charm. Near the door that leads into the room on the second floor of the apartment with the Whirlwind Charm you can open a window. Open the window, go out, use the heart to locate the Charm on the roof to your right, blink up, climb over the railing and kill the Blood Flies. The Charm is on the floor near the nasty dead guy.

Edge Of The World Bonecharm 6 – This is locked in a safe in the Safe store. Open the cash register to find the code for the safe under the stairs and open it for the shard.

The Good Doctor Bonecharm 1 – This one is underneath you when you spawn in. Go to the right and drop down unto the pipe blow the broken fence part. Drop down onto the rocks and follow the path to the Shard.

The Good Doctor Bonecharm 2 – This one is right in the Main Lobby entrance, on the floor.

The Good Doctor Bonecharm 3 – You need Hypaia’s key to get this one. When you are in the room with a ton of Blood flies you will come across some Tanning Boxes. One of them will have a hole that leads into the room in the middle, there you can find a Boneshard. This is on the third floor.

The Good Doctor Bonecharm 4 – This one was a Corrupted Boneshard for Emily. You can find it inside the lab with Alexander Hypatia, you can also find a painting in that room.

The Good Doctor Bonecharm 5 – This one is all the way up at the top of the area. You will need to blink to the top of the guests houses, then up onto the pillars and then to the other roof for the charm.

The Clockwork Mansion Bonecharm 1 – As soon as you come out of the sewers, look left and you will see a alleyway up some stairs. Go up there and enter the apartment down there. On the third floor you can find a blocked breakable door. Inside you can find a Bonecharm, I used a grenade to open it.

The Clockwork Mansion Bonecharm 2 – At the entrance of the sewers, look up and you will see a balcony. Use the smaller building near there to gain access to that balcony and go inside. The charm is in a case you can break.

The Clockwork Mansion Bonecharm 3 – You can get this one after you disable the Light Gate. Go up the stairs to the tram and you will see it on a crate.

The Clockwork Mansion Bonecharm 4 – In the apartment right before you start making your way to the Clockwork Mansion you can find this charm. There is a window on the second floor that is open. Jump up on the awning and enter to find the shard.

The Clockwork Mansion Bonecharm 5 – The first Bonecharm can be found after you get to the elevator. Take it down a floor and take out the two guards. From there go straight across and use the level on the other side. Two doorways will open and a couple of rich people will come down with the room. Skip past them and follow the cat walk to the other side for the Bonecharm.

The Clockwork Mansion Bonecharm 6 – Back in the room where the two civilians came down there is a open window on the ceiling, Blink through there and you can get another Charm, watch out for the Blood flies.

The Clockwork Mansion Bonecharm 7 – The location of this charm is in Jinosh’s room. Hit the switch near his bed and it will raise up room with three cases in it. Go in there, turn around and hit the red switch to go to the Charm.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 1 – You don’t get any Bonecharms until you go through the gate on the map. After you go through the gate, enter the first left apartment. On the second floor, in the bar you will find your first Bonecharm.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 2 – This is in the opposite building from the last Charm. Go up to the roof and look across to a building with Blood flies in it. Warp in there and you can find the Charm near the desk inside.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 3 – This one is easy to find if you have the side mission from the Black Market guy. Mark that as you objective and enter the building that his Associate is in. Go up to the top floor and you can find the Charm on a desk.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 4 – This one is in the Conservatory. When you are in the Kitchen, look up and you can see a ledge you can Blink to. Blink up and grab the Bonecharm.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 5 – From the last Bonecharm, look over the edge and to the left for another ledge you can Blink to. Blink over and follow the hallway down to the right. Enter the door at the end and take out the guard at the edge. Look up, Blink onto the ledge and enter the crawl space for another Charm.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 6 – Now, go back out and look across the large gap to see a open window. Go over there, enter and open the door on the right for another Charm.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 7 – The last Charm is underneath Breanna’s office. Jump out the window and go down to the courtyard with the Large Turtle in it. Kill thee enemies, blow up the blocked door and grab the Charm.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 8-9 – The last two are on Breanna’s body, but I killed her and her body dissolved because of it. You need to take her out with a Tranq arrow and then loot her to get them if you have the disintegrate skill.

This may be out of order based on who you side with.

Dust District Bonecharm 1 – You can find your first Bonecharm in the Overseer’s office after you deal with him.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 1 – You don’t get any Bonecharms until you go through the gate on the map. After you go through the gate, enter the first left apartment. On the second floor, in the bar you will find your first Bonecharm.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 2 – You will need the Key from in the Overseer’s office. The key is on the desk, right above where you found the last Bonecharm. You need to use Durante’s items in Paolo’s area to get the Bonecharm.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 3 – This is near the last one in Paolo’s area. Head down stairs and you can find it on a table, near a Overseer chained up.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 4 – I missed this Bonecharm on my way back to Paolo from the Overseers office. You can see it with your heart as you take the road. There is a window with boards you can break open and inside you will find the Charm.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 5 – This one is tricky because it is locked behind the Black Market Door. The first thing you need to do is unlock the door upstairs. To do that, go around the outside and to the alley behind the buildings. There will be an open window that lets you peek in on the blocked door, shoot the wood so you can enter. Now go upstairs and enter the room on the second floor. There is a picture in the back of the area near the type writer, grab the note. It should say something about, “Wed the Month Of Rain, A Love Without refrain”. Now go to the calendar in the apartment and check which month they were Wed in. Rain is month 4, find the number circled and you have your door code. Open the door, grab the shard and you’re done.

The Royal Conservatory Bonecharm 6-8 – The last Charms are actually on Paolo so you have to kill him to get it. In order to that you kill him once, he respawns in his room and you kill him again. I didn’t do it because I want to see how it affects the end.

This one is tricky because of the time travel element.

Dust District Bonecharm 1 – The first Bonecharm is the one in the room with the chandlers and the broken ceiling opening. You need to go into the past and hit the switches to raise the chandlers so you can jump onto them. Go to the third one and switch to the present. Now you can jump up into the hole in the ceiling for the Charm.

Dust District Bonecharm 2 – After you get the Master Key, go in the elevator in the past. When you are inside, go to the present and you can get the Charm.

Dust District Bonecharm 3 – Now go to the elevator entrance again. Go around, through the door that takes the master key, and crawl under the desk. Now you can go to the preset and enter the room, you might have to move around a bit to get it to pop. When inside the room, go back to the present and toss the dog in the furnace and turn it on. Now go to the present and you can see the Safe door on the floor with the code. Go back to the past and use that code to get the charm.

The Grand Palace Bonecharm 1 – This one is in the second floor of the apartment across from the Winslow Safe Company. Blink up, clear the blood flies, undo the vice and grab the Charm.

The Grand Palace Bonecharm 2 – This one is pretty easy, mark it, take the stairs up and grab it.

The Grand Palace Bonecharm 3 – For this one you will need the key from the Safe shop, it is in the cash register. Go up to the apartment and open the door, the Charm is underneath the bed.

The Grand Palace Bonecharm 4 – These next few will be when you finally get into the palace. In the back of the area there is a pond with a statue in it. If you go down the steps to the lower levels you will find a boarded up doorway. Break it down, go in and clear out the flies. There is a door that leads down into a flooded basement. Swim around and under the debris and on the other side you can break another door down and find the Bonecharm.

The Grand Palace Bonecharm 5 – This is right next to the Dining Room in the palace. Honestly, you can just follow the heart to the location and grab it.

The Grand Palace Bonecharm 5 – Take the elevator in the dining room up to the third floor and you can find the charm there. You will also run into the Body double in that area as well.

The Grand Palace Bonecharm 6 – The last Bonecharm in the area is in the throne room. You will want to blink up to the Chandeliers and then blink to the Whale Oil power behind the throne first. This will disable the automated defenses so it’s just you and the guards. Once they are dealt with, grab the charm on the throne.

The Grand Palace Bonecharm 7-8 – You actually get these when you get back to the ship. Go up to the deck, pick pocket Meagan and open her cabin. You will find two Bonecharms in there.

Mission 9 Bonecharm 1 – You find this before you switch areas. Basically, take the path you took to escape from your Safe room in the first mission. Go back into the area where the Safe room was and Blink up to the charm.

Mission 9 Bonecharm 2 – This is on the way to Dunwall Tower. When you go up the path with the stone people, look up towards the Bonecharm and you can warp up to a black stand sticking out. From here you can enter the Greenhouse from above and grab the Charm.

Mission 9 Bonecharm 3 – You can follow the heart for this one. From the Green house, head down to the building across from the Tower. You will need to blink up to the roof and drop down on the other side for the Charm.

Mission 9 Bonecharm 4 – This one is actually like 5 or 6 of them. when you enter Dunwall Tower, you can see a Charm really close when you bring up the heart. When you grab it off the body some Witches will spawn. Kill them and then grab the rest of the Charms that spawn on the body.

Mission 9 Bonecharm 5 – Go up the stairs to the second floor and enter the room on the left. Right above the doorway there is an area you can Blink too and a hole you can crawl under. Down there you will find the Charm.

Mission 9 Bonecharm 6 – This one is also on the second floor but on the opposite side. You can actually just walk into the room and grab this one.

Spirit Water – Drinking from a fountain restores mana.

Restorative Glimmer – Health regenerates when using Dark Vision.

Agile Recovery – Recover from falls slightly quicker.

Void Favor – Sometimes supernatural powers consume no mana.

Assassin’s Fortune – Bolt packs have a chance of containing +1 Crossbow Bolt.

Strong Arms – You choke enemies unconscious slightly faster.

Spiritual Pool – Mana Regenration is slightly faster.

Duelist Luck – Bullet Packs have a slight chance of containing one extra Bullet.

Albinos – Rat swarms include more white rats.

Clumsy Assassin – Brief invisibility after choking or assassinating an enemy. You are louder when making noise, and more visible while leaning.

Spiritual Fortune – Sometimes drinking an Mana elixir restores all Mana.

Spirited – Elixirs restore slightly more Mana.

Whirlwind – Attack faster with your sword.

I forgot the name of the mission when I started writing this up.

The first optional mission you have is to enter the safe room but you have to do that for the main mission anyways.

The second side mission is to knock out the target and lock him in the safe room. To do this, drag him up there, drop him and close the door behind you. He will be locked in there for who knows how long.

Open The Supply Room – When you wake up on the boat you will be able to do a side mission there. The supply room is locked and you need to open it. Look through the door window and you will see an open window in the Supply room. Go up on deck, peer over the side and jump down to the window. When you are inside, break the board near the door to open it. The spoils inside the room are yours.

Stop The Leak – You can get this one from the paper right outside your room, on the table, when you return from The Good Doctor mission. Yo will need to find a crank and stop a leak. The Crank can be found on the work bench near Sokolov’s room. Go down to the engine room and stop the leak to complete the quest, didn’t seem to give a reward.

Locate The Black Market Shop – While you are in the the port city you can find the Black Market and start spending some cash. To get there you need to first go by building that says “Condemned due to infection”. When you get there, look up and you can see an open window. Blink up there and fall down on the other side. There is a woman sitting on the couch and she will give you another side mission. Enter the window in the ally to gain access to the market. You can also buy a map for extra supplies right off the coast.

Sunken Supplies – I’m not even 100% sure you need to buy the map to do this. Instead head to the dock and look out to the Buoy. under that there is a sunk rowboat with some supplies, mines, bolts and a couple of elixirs. You can climb on the Buoy to avoid the fish chomping on you.

Get Help From Mindy – You can find Mindy behind the Black Market, in the alley, sitting on a couch. She wants you to get a body for her from the Overseer office. This is tricky quest if you are planning to sneak. The key to the Interrogation room is on the Overseer near the Interrogation room or the one in the Vice Overseers office on the floor below. When you have it, grab the body and you can use blink to travel on the streets and avoid guards. After you turn it in to Mindy, the electric tracks will be disabled so you can walk to Addermine Station.

Eliminate The Crown Killer – This is really just a choice. After you talk to Alexandra Hypatia she will tell you what she knows about Sokolov. Go to the back room and speak with Vasco next. This will trigger the fight with the Crown Killer. What you do here will effect the ending, spare here for low Chaos and kill her for high Chaos.

Stealing From The Black Market – This doesn’t pop up as a quest but you can do it if you listen. Outside of the Black Market there is a beggar who wants 5 gold. Give him the gold and he will tell you about a plan to blow a hole in the wall to steal from the Black Market. In order to gain access to the area with the whole, look up above the entrance to the Black Market. Follow those balconies until you enter the apartment at the end. Go all the way to the basement and kill the thugs down and grab the key. The last thing you need is another Whale Oil Keg. Go to where the Light Gate is and make a new one. Bring it back, set it up next to the others and blow it up. When you do this you can’t buy anything from the shop, so make sure you buy anything before hand. Grab the items you want, open the safe and grab the Black Market Key! This will be useful later.

Assist The Shopkeeper – Talk to the Black Market salesman during The Royal Conservatory Mission to trigger this quest. He wants you to find his Associate and promises your a reward. Go to the Apartment marked on the map and enter. Climb up to the top and check out the note on the desk in the room. This will change the objective to “Get the Roseburrow Prototype”. You will have to sneak into the Conservatory in order to get this. You can actually go out the window in the apartment and end up in the Kitchen area of the Conservatory, which is close to the prototype. The door is locked to access the Prototype, blink through the opening above it. Once you take the prototype, the alarm will trigger. Two choices here, take it and blink out, or use a Rewire tool to disable the security system on in the other room. Hand it off to him for your reward.

How To Get Into The Back Of The Black Market Shop – You will want to do this after you complete the quest because he will disappear, grab all the upgrades you want before he leaves also. go to the Black Market Dealer and turn around, you can see a large crank on the floor. Grab that, bring it down to the sewers and connect it near the gate blocking the route deeper into the canals.

How To get Behind The Black Market – This time the Black Market is locked with a safe combo code. In order to find the code you have to get into the room above the Black Market. Go around to the back alley and look for the open window there. You will see what the door is blocked by, shoot it to open the door. Now enter that room and go to the wedding photo near the Typewriter. Grab the note an dit hsould say what month they were Wed in. Go to the calendar in the apartment, find the month and the day circled and that is your code. For instance Rain is 4 and the number circled could be like 14.

The Jindosh Riddle – You can find this at the entrance to Aramis Stilton’s Manor. There are a few steps to completing it. first you need to go to the Overseer’s office and in the main office, on the desk there is a key you need. This is the room with the Map coming from the Projector. After that you need to go to Paolo’s and open up Durante’s room. Grab the note on the desk and it will tell you the code. Head to the gate and put the heirlooms on the right names. You need to spin the names first, to get the right order, then place the heirlooms. If you get it right, the door will open.

Curtis, Morgan And The Postulate Child – Right after you get out of the Safe Room in Dunwall, you will be in an are right before you hit the streets. In the hallway there you can find your first painting that gives you 200 Coins.

The Obtuse Arguments Of Lady Boyle – After you get on the Streets of Dunwall you can start entering buildings. Right at the start of the street you will find a building with a “For Rent” sign on it. If you look to the left there are some stairs. Take those stairs up and inside that building there is a Painting, a Safe and a guard.

Overseer Painting – This one is actually pretty tricky to find. Right when you enter the on the dock look up. You will see a picture of Deliah and a blacony underneath here. You need to jump up to the balcony below that to the left, and jump up to the fan sticking out. You can use that to get inside the room with the painting.

The Vice Overseer’s Predicate Logic – This painting is in the Overseers Office, next to the Vice Overseers office. In the room with the Type Writer you can find the painting on the wall.

The Outsider In Conditional Dreams – You can find this one right next to Outsider Shrine in the level. It is in an apartment near the Wall Of Light on the map.

Hypatia’s Protective Gaze – This is in the apartment about the Safe store. You can find the key in the back of the safe store and the stairs back there as well. It is the big painting on the wall and it is worth 200.

Duke Abele’s Propositional State – This is in the Main Lobby, near the first Light Gate. It is a man with a white coat on.

I Regard Her, Within and Without – This painting is in the same room as Alexnadria Hypatia, check her office.

Anton Sokolov In Subtractive Light – This is in the basement with a Rune. You have to destroy the Elevator in order to get down to the basement. I used the Whale Oil container you can find in the main lobby that is charging the Light Gate to do it. I tossed it at the elevator and it went down. You can also destroy the couplings on the Elevator to crash it. Make sure it is on the first floor, the door opens wherever the Elevator falls from.

The Spymaster’s Axis Of Asymmetry – Look left after you leave the sewers to find a map. Around the corner from there is an alley with an apartment in it. On the third floor of the apartment there is a door you can break and behind the door you can find this painting. I used a grenade to break the door.

Painting 2 – I missed the name and grabbed it by mistake. If you look up from the entrance of the sewers you can see a balcony above you. Use the smaller building near the balcony to gain access to the pipes that lead up to the balcony. Inside you find a Bonecharm and a painting.

Jindosh Considers An Odd Numerator – This is after you take the tram for the first time. Follow the road to the edge of town and you can see the Clockwork Mansion. The apartment nearest that has a window open on the second floor that you can jump into. There is also a Bonecharm there so you can use your heart to find it easier.

The Grim Topology Of Grim Alex – This painting is found in the same room as Sokolov.

I Look Upon The craftsman – This is in Jindosh’s room, hit the switch near his tub to move to another room. Make sure to go with the tub and you can find the painting on the other side.

Light Along The Inverse Curve – This is in the room where you face off with Jindosh. After you defeat him, go up to the second floor and you can find the painting up there.

Ashworth Within An Existential Graph – Near the first apartment through the gate, there is a bar with some dead guys inside. Go to the roof of that building and look across for an opening to the next building. Cross over and look left inside for a weird Hive Keeper enemy and a painting on the wall near the desk.

My Fires Burn Within Breanna’s Marrow – You can find this painting in Breanna Ashworth’s Office, take the stairs up halfway to find it.

Her Heart, I bathed in Poison – Start in Breanna’s office and take the window down into the courtyard, the on with the Big Turtle in it. Kill the guards and slide through the little window entrance. There will be a door on the right with a Charm inside, blow it up. Inside there you will find a key you need. Go out and take the little set of stairs down to the area with the table. Follow the path to the Blood flies and take them out and the Witch inside. There is a sign that says Archive, enter that door and blink on top of the bookshelf in there to access the Painting.

Indiscrete Time Finds Aramis Stilton – This is in the Overseer’s office. When you are in the lead Overseer’s office look up. Blink up there and you can find the Painting in one of the destroyed rooms.

Vera Moray And The Affix Of Her Skin – You will find this right by the Shrine in Paolo’s room.

Paolo and the Inaccessible Cardinal – This is also in Paolo’s room, in the corner of the room.

This one gets tricky with the whole time travel going on.

The Commutative Rats And The Weeper – First off you need to get to the Dining Room in the past. Go around to the Vault door from the Dining room and then go to the present. Enter the Vault and then go back into the past and you can get the painting.

The Torturer’s Quaternionic Groan – You can get this one of two ways. If you kill Aramis Silton in the past, the door will be breakable for you. Before you go to the back yard, look right. There is a blocked door in the past, go to the present to enter. Go back to the past and you can find a painting near the window in that room.

If you don’t kill him, go to the blocked door and head all the way down the hall. Right through the doorway at the end look left for a window you can crawl through in the past. Do that and follow the pipes along to the open window on the other side for the painting.

Daud and The Parabola of Lost Seasons – This is in the same room as the rune. Go up to the roof and blink down to the balcony of the building to gain access.

My Name On Their Lips – You can find this on the third floor of the Palace. Take the elevator in the dining room up and enter the room on the right. Look above the fire place for the painting.

Her Face Is My Smile – From the last painting, head out the door on the opposite side of the room. Look left and enter the double doors you see. Near the piano you will find this last painting.

There are two in this level.

Luca, His Eyes Upon Me – This is right before you enter the Dunwall Tower. From the entrance of the Tower, look for a Gazebo. Go to the Gazebo and look over the ledge, down below, and you should be able to see your painting. You will have to face a few hounds to get it, blink or climb down.

Head to the dock with the beached whale and turn to face the buildings. Above you will see an awning with an open window. Inside is a safe that contains the blueprint. Incendiary Bolt, Immolates the enemy.

Progress through the area until you reach the Karnaca Enclave. Head up the stairs to the Overseers Office and there’s a Blueprint on the table. Hardened Bolt, Inflicts Greater Damage

When you enter the building through the main glass doors look up to your right. Go up to the broken walkway and into the next room. It can be found inside the safe. Instant sleep dart

Inside Joe Hamiltons office on the desk. If you do not get the key from him search the box behind him with the gun inside, the key is also there. His office is on the top floor, up the last set of stairs next to elevator. Stinging bolt, causes enemy to flee and forget

In the final area where you either electrocute or kill Kirin Jindosh. Look up and jump up to the next level. You’ll see a large desk with a painting behind it. Check the cupboard in the front of the desk for the blueprint.

Head to the Crone Hand Pub. You’ll see Paolo sitting in the courtyard. Climb the stairs behind the bar and search the nearby rooms. There’s a large chest, the blueprint is inside.

Secondary Coiling Blueprint Location #12
When you’re at the Crone Hand Pub, look towards the bar with the sign above that says Saloon. Turn around and head down the stairs through the door. Take a right, then a left, the blueprint is on the table.

Aramis Stiltons Manor

Progress through the area until you reach the large dining room in the past. Drop down and explore the nearby hallways until you see a huge vault. Switch back to the present, walk into the vault, switch back to the past and then search the safe for the blueprint.

The Grand Palace

Inside the shopkeepers apartment. Head to the safe shop and loot the register for a key. Then go to the door that leads to the Grand Palace but don’t go through. Check the nearby apartments, it’s inside the apartments with the upstairs exit to the Grand Palace that bypasses the Light Gate.

Blade Conversion Blueprint Location #16
Once you’re inside the actual palace take the elevator to the third floor. Exit the elevator and enter the room on your right. You can find the blueprint inside the cabinet between the two bookshelves.

Folded Galvani Resin Blueprint Location #17
Find the stairwell inside the Grand Palace, any floor will do. Follow it all the way to the bottom. Eventually you’ll reach a room with a guard and boxes in shelves for storage. It looks like a dead end but use your vision ability and you’ll notice a lever the other side of the wall opposite the door you use to enter and the left. Just nearby is a tiny button, use it to open the passageway and head down the stairs. The blueprint is on the large table.

Dual Layered Galvani Weave Blueprint Location #18
Aboard the Dreadful Wale before you embark on the mission. Head to the room where Anton Sokolov is painting a picture, check the nearby crafting desk for the blueprint.

Counter-blast Inversion Blueprint Location #19
Just before you reach the objective marked “Dunwall Tower Entrance” there’s a building to your right you can explore, the one with the first safe you found. Head inside to find a blueprint on the table

Outsider Shrine Location #1
This one is introduced during the main story, you can’t miss it.

Outsider Shrine Location #2
The second Shrine can be found once you head into the city. Continue through until you reach the Light Gate. Look up to the right to find a house you can enter, the Outsider Shrine is inside.

Outsider Shrine Location #3
When you first enter the area go to the far left. Climb up the black spiky awning and then onto the lamp nearby before heading up to the next level. Proceed up another level, use the windmill as a platform, and then explore the room to find 2 Runes and the shrine.

When you exit the sewers look directly above and behind you, there is a couple of balconies. Go to the 2nd balcony and look across the road. There’s a lit window. Head inside for the Outsider Shrine and 2 Runes.

Just before you reach the watchtower take a right down an alleyway. Continue up the stairs, keeping your eye above you. There’s a balcony. Jump up and explore the building for the Outsider Shrine and 2 Runes.

The Grand Palace

Use your heart to locate the shrine and head towards it. When you get close you will need to climb a ruined building on the opposite side of the road right to the top. Then climb along the metal sticking out of the building across to the shrine. You need to use the Barometer on the wall to open the secret entrance.

Dreadful Wale Rune Locations

You are introduced to the Rune system during a dream sequence with Corvo or Emily. Simply use the heart to locate the Rune in order to progress.

When you first arrive on the docks go to the left to the giant whale corpse and look between its teeth

Rune Location #4
Use the heart to locate the next nearest Rune. You’ll reach a blocked gate. Just above the blocked gate, if you back up a bit, is a window. Once inside exit via the other window and follow the metal pipe to another window. Head inside and go downstairs for this Rune. It’s in the Black Market and costs 400 Money.

Rune Location #5 & #6
Continue through the city until you reach the Light Gate. Up to the right is a building you can enter, explore inside to find 2 Runes on an Outsider Shrine.

Rune Location #6
Before you enter the Karnaca Enclave. There are two guards outside near a table spouting propaganda. There’s a Rune and a Bone Charm on the table

Rune Location #7
Inside the Karnaca Enclave. There’s a safe inside the Vice Overseers office. The Rune is inside the safe. There’s a room nearby with a projector inside. Grab the note off the table. It will tell you to remember 3 specific things. Go back to the safe and check the book on the bench to the right. Use the numbers from the Seven Strictures that were on the first note. For example it says remember Lying Tongue, Wanton Flesh & Restless Hands, the code would be 2, 6, 3. The code is unique to each player so you have to solve the puzzle to open it.

Rune Location #8
This can be found inside the stream at the very end. It appears blocked off but if you look near the Rune there’s a chunk of wood blocking it. Use a grenade or another device to blow up the wood and the Rune will come rushing down to the stream.

The God Doctor Rune Locations

On the first floor head to the elevator. Take a left and search the middle of the room. There’s a Rune on the wall

Rune Location #13
Head up to the third floor. Explore the large room full Bloodflies. The Rune is inside.

Rune Location #14
The final Rune is inside the basement. You need to open the lift on the 1st floor and then go to the top floor. Look into the elevator shaft and you will see red couplings, they may be on a lower floor so check the shaft if you cannot see them. Shoot them or otherwise destroy them to send the lift crashing down and opening the basement. There’s also a picture inside.

Directly behind the station. You’ll get jumped by a group of enemies, take them down and pick up the Rune.

Progress through The Clockwork Mansion until you have access to the special elevator that can go to Floor 3 – Office. Opposite that Elevator on the Maintenance level is a door. Break it down and find the Rune inside.

Head to the Black Market when you arrive in the area, you can purchase a Rune there.

Rune Location #21, #22

When you enter the Royal Conservatory you’ll see a statue. Look to the right and there is an open vent leading to the basement. Head into the basement and search the room on the left hand side, behind the blocked door. There’s a key hanging. Grab the key and then search the far corner of the basement. Look up to some pipes and jump up to go through to the next area with Witches and Bloodflies. The Rune is behind the locked door.

Rune Location #23
Head outside the Royal Conservatory and look directly opposite the main entrance. There’s a door you can open. Go up the stairs and over the barricade up to the top balcony. Once there look out to the right and follow the cliff and wooden path to the upper level of the Royal Conservatory and then enter through the window. The Rune is inside.

Rune Location #24
When you reach Breanna Ashworth, check the room above her area to find the Rune. It has a few dog enemies and the grass weed tentacle things.

The Dust District Rune Locations

Proceed through the mission until you reach Meagan Foster. Drop down outside and then turn back on yourself, destroy the wood to enter the room and get the Rune.

Pull out the heart and head directly to the nearest Rune. Break down the door and go upstairs to grab this one.

Rune Location #27,#28
Above the Crone Hand pub. Climb the outside of the building to find 2 Runes and an Outsider Shrine, inside Paolo’s place.

Rune Location #29
Head to the Overseers area. Into the base, up the stairs and into the records room. Destroy the door and loot the chest for a Rune.

Aramis Stiltons Manor

As soon as you enter the Manor head upstairs and take a right. It’s under the table in a room with a large rock and a pickaxe.

Rune Location #31
When you get to the basement make sure you’re in the past. You’ll see two guards inspecting a small hole in the wall. Kill the two guards and then check the display case nearby for a large cog. Throw the cog through the hole in the wall, go to the present, use the cog on the underground vent, drain the water to get the Rune.

Rune Location #32
Use the heart to find the location of this Rune behind a locked door. The door is locked both past and present. It’s behind a very large bookcase on wheels. Check a nearby window in the present, it will be open. Head outside and climb the rubble, enter the room via the window and then switch to the past.

The Grand Palace

Head towards the large watch tower. There are some windows nearby. Enter and explore for the Rune.

This one is at the Outsider Shrine. Check behind the Black Market, use your ability to jump up and then just move towards the marker away from the town

Rune Location #36
The safe can be found inside the Captain’s Quarters on the first floor. To get the code once inside the Grand Palace take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and enter the room on your right. In the far right corner is a small desk, not the main one, the smaller one. There’s a First Captain’s Safe note on the desk. That contains the code for this safe.

Rune Location #37
Near when you find the impersonator for the main boss, there’s a water feature with a large statue in the middle of it. As you look at the front of the statue take the stairs down to your right and then destroy the wood blocking the door at the bottom. Follow the stairs up and then down to find the Rune in the flooded basement.

Rune Location #38
As soon as you arrive at the docks use the heart to locate the nearest Rune. That’s the Black Market. Head there to purchase the Rune

Rune Location #49, #40
Use your heart to locate the Outsider Shrine and head towards it. When you get close you will need to climb a ruined building on the opposite side of the road right to the top. Then climb along the metal sticking out of the building across to the shrine. You need to use the Barometer on the wall to open the secret entrance.

Rune Location #41
Progress through the level until you reach the Tower Front Yard. Use your Heart to find the Rune, it’s under a walkway. You can fall down beneath the walkway. Jump down the small gap just above the large 3 metal pipes that lead under the walkway.

Rune Location #42
Once inside the Tower follow the objective to the Security Room. The Rune is inside.

Safe Location #1
When you come out of the palace and you’re on the streets of Dunwall progress until you see a large “For Rent” sign on a house to the left. Search the door to the left of that one (as you look at it) for another door. Inside is the safe. The code is 451, the clue can be found behind the painting in the room. You get 2 Silver Bars and some bullets.

Safe Location #2

Safe Location #3
As you progress, continue through until you reach the Carriage objective. Before you enter the station check nearby for a Winslow Safe Company shop. It’s near a large black and white banner that features Delilah Kaldwin. Inside is a Try to Unlock Me contest with a large Winslow safe. The combination is inside the cash register at the front of the shop. There’s a Bone Charm inside and 300 Money.

Safe Location #4
As you enter, head to the far right and go up to the broken walkway above. Just ahead there’s a room with a couple of safe’s inside. One is locked, one is open. The combination is on the table near the doorway in which you entered.

Safe Location #5
This one is during the story. Head towards the quest objective to meet Alexandria Hypatia. When you reach her don’t speak with her, instead explore a nearby room with an injured many lying in a bed. He will give you directions to the safe and the code, which was 587 for me.

Lower Aventa District

Exit the sewers and take a left towards the map on the board up the stairs. Go down the left alley until you reach all the people and then enter the apartment. Upstairs in a room is a safe. To get the code for the safe check the blackboard in the nearby room. It will have 2 digits in the corner. Put in the 2 digits and then cycle the remaining digit until it opens. Contains Money.

Cyria Gardens Conservatory Safe Locations

Safe Location #7
To find the combination for this safe you must purchase the safe code document from the Black Market in this area. When you reach the Royal Conservatory there’s a Light Gate blocking the front door. Turn directly around so the gate is at your back and look up for a balcony. Head inside, watching for the Witch and Bloodflies, the safe is in the room with the Witch.

Safe Location #8 – How To Unlock The Black Market Code Door
This is actually the door to the Black Market but it’s coded this time. Walk around the back of the building to the alleyway and then look through the barred windows for a door blocked by wood. Destroy the wood, head back inside and up the stairs into the room. There is a Wedding Silvergraph behind a photograph near the desk at the end. It says Wed the Month of Rain. Head into the hallway in the house and you’ll notice a lot of numbers and a list of months. Check Rain, it was month 4 for me, and then the date circled on the calender, it was 21 for me. That’s your code.

Aramis Stiltons Manor

This one is inside the Manor, it can be difficult to find. Use your Heart to locate the Black Boneshard, it’s near an elevator. The door is locked in both time periods but head to the present. Crawl under the desk near the wall, switch to the past and enter the room. Pick up the dog, put it inside the furnace and turn it on. Switch to the present and the bug nests will now be gone. You’ll see the safe door on the floor, remember the code and switch to the past.

The Grand Palace
