Much like the old games, DMC 5 brings back the challenging secret missions. Check out this Devil May Cry 5 secret mission location guide for where to find them all as you go along. Some Secret Missions are easily discovered. Others require specific abilities or equipment. Be sure to upgrade your character as you progress through the game, whilst saving some orbs in case you stumble upon areas that require specific abilities.
This one can’t be missed as it is the tutorial Secret Mission. Line up the pattern by going to the right side of the bed and look through the doorway. Simply defeat all the demons to beat this challenge.
You will find this mission in the tunnel you enter after the grappling part. Inside the tunnel you have to take down two Demon Roots in order to progress. when you take them out, a path that leads to stairs will open up.
Jump down to the button and go to the bared doorway near the steps. You will get the red light when you enter there and the secret mission is above you.
On Mission 04 V, you will find Secret Mission 03. Proceed through the level until you cross over a large bridge. There’s a Nidhoggg Hatchling directly in front of you, it’s nearly impossible to miss. Once you have the first Nidhoggg Hatchling, continue on with the mission. After a short while you will have a fight next to a large building with a mural painted on the side.
During this battle you need to summon Nightmare with a full gauge and L1. This will cause Nightmare to burst out of the wall. After the fight, you can enter the area that Nightmare opened. There’s a Blue Orb and another Nidhoggg Hatchling inside.
Continue with the mission until you reach the plant that requires the Nidhoggg Hatchling to open. Past the first plant is a second. Open both, then follow the path up to the window. This is the next Secret Mission.
You can find this Secret Mission during Mission 5. Progress through the level a short distance. Eventually you will have to drop down into an area with a Yellow digger style vehicle. This is just before you clear the roots to go under the large boat.
In this area, when you arrive, there is a wall blocking your path ahead. You need to destroy the wall by summoning Nightmare when you’re near the wall. This will cause him to bust through the wall, giving access to the area behind. Enter the area, clear out the monsters and then climb the yellow staircase to reach the Secret Mission marker.
This Secret Mission is quite far into the level. One of the bloody lava type waterfalls where you have to ride the rock to the top. This particular one has a Golden Orb at the top of it. Get to the top of the elevator style platform and then climb the ramp. Look down to the left and you’ll see another platform you can jump on. Jump down there.
It’s just before the final Blood Gate that takes you to the end of the level.
Head through this mission until you reach the Behemoth enemy fight. Defeat it and progress, destroying the large wall blocking your path by summoning Nightmare. Once on the other side you’ll have to fight some enemies near some stone pillars.
Just past the pillars, take a left. An archway is blocked by roots. Summon Nightmare to the other side of the roots by standing close. This destroys the source of the roots and clears the path.
During this mission you will run into red doors that close if you don’t go through them quick enough. At the third set of these, near where you face the Phoenix enemy, there are two of these doors. The one on the right leads to the secret. If you are quick enough you can get the items in the left red door and still make the right red door for the secret mission.
Near the start of the mission, you have to cross a rubble bridge to enter the large church-like building. Ahead of you is a number of stone platforms. Jump on those platforms and then up to the right. From there, turn around and you will see the pattern on the wall.
You will have to do the statue and blood pool puzzle before finding this mission. When all the pools of blood are open a hole will open under the statue. Drop down and take the dirt steps up until you see a archway. Turn around and you will see another area across the gap. You have to run and wall jump to get over to the other spot. When you are over there, look towards the arch while on the red spot to find the mission.
Proceed through M14 Diverging Point :V until you reach the area with all the blood gushing down in large tubes. Continue forward, sliding down a long ramp. As you reach the end of the area, you can go either straight or left. Take a left and drop down and you’ll find this secret mission. It’s right near the end of the level.
Before you start the mission, make sure to equip Nero with the Gerbera Devil Breaker. Be careful not to break any during the mission as you will need these to reach the Secret Mission. Proceed through the mission until you reach the first Divinity Statue. There are a few paths you can take to reach it but it doesn’t matter, they will all lead to the statue. You will also need the Air Hike ability.
There is a small path hidden behind the statue. As you travel down the path, you will see a small cut-scene showing you where to find a Blue Orb. You need to use your double jump and Gerbera ability for extra jump to make it up the jumps. There’s also a very large ramp with a huge rock blocking the path. Pick up the nearby Punch Line and hold O to activate the ability to ride the Devil Breaker. This will let you ascend up the hill.
At the top of the largest hill at the end, take a right. You will see the red glow on the floor.
Proceed through the mission until you have a fight with 2 lizards that turn into the wheels and the fire lizard that teleports everywhere. Defeat these enemies and the path ahead opens. This is another long drop but don’t jump off. Instead just head to the platform directly below you.
On the edge of that platform, on the side closest to the wall, you will find a hole. You will see a large red blood orb tree down there. Drop down to destroy the tree, it reveals a pathway hidden behind. Don’t drop to the bottom of the next pit.
Look below and you will see another red orb blood tree. There’s a small ledge directly above it, with an alcove. Inside the alcove is the Secret Mission.
