I’ve only had a few games and my experience with lobby chat is a perfect example of modern issues with the feature. My second match feature 2-3 very young children having an absolute blast. Giggling, laughing, taunting each other, they had a great time. No issues there. The next? Profanity, racist slurs, massively loud music, everything you would expect in a game with open voice.

This will mute the entire match. Unfortunately, I’ve not been able to find a way to mute an individual player, so it’s all or nothing. Once the lobby is muted, it will remain muted for the entire game. If you want to mute further lobbies, you need to do the same thing again. Open the PS menu, select the lobby card, and turn the mute option to on.

Matchmaking has no real impact on any part of the game other than who you’re likely to be paired with. If your default matchmaking region in US Central, you will be matched with other players from that same matchmaking region. It’s advisable to stick to your default region as it promises the best game performance, in terms of ping, lag, and connection with the server itself. However, if you’d rather play in other regions regardless, that option is available.

Head to the main menu of the game and open the options menu. Once in the options menu, navigate to the Gameplay tab. Here you will see several settings, one of which is Matchmaking. Simply change the region to your preferred region of those available and you’re good to go.

The Undisputed: Blocks all incoming damage from the front of the vehicle, can be used to destroy obstacles.

Breaker: Makes him immune to knock outs from other AllStars and vehicles. Cannot be run over.

Genesis Guide

Callisto: Activates super-speed, doing heavy damage to enemy vehicles. Fastest ability in the game.

Breaker: Maximum running speed, using to gather collectibles, barge targets, or evade.

Lupita Guide

Wildfire: Deploys a trail of fire that sets other vehicles alight. Instantly KO’s AllStars on foot

Breaker: Sets ablaze a path as she runs forward, damages other AllStars.

Shyft Guide

Cypher: The vehicle becomes nearly completely invisible. Removes Shyft from the radar

Breaker: Removes Shyft from the radar, becomes nearly invisible.

Blue Fang Guide

Shredder: Activates a portable shredder that does huge damage to enemies hit with the front of the vehicle

Breaker: Instantly knocks down any AllStars that touch Blue Fang.

Boxtop Guide

Boxmobile: When activated, hitting an opponent vehicle attaches a drone to the enemy vehicle, dealing damage over time with fireworks

Breaker: Drops parcels that heal team mates and knock down enemy opponents

Fuego Guide

Cerberus: Covers the vehicle in flames, dealing increased damage to anything it hits

Mr. Sparkles: Surrounds the vehicle with bumpers that charge with each hit, releasing increasingly powerful force bursts

Jian Guide

Morningstar: Covers the vehicle in spikes, acts as both increased defense and increased attack damage

Breaker: Deploys proximity mines that explode, damaging nearby vehicles and knocking over AllStars.

Harmony Guide

Crashendo: Releases a short-range but huge supersonic blast that damages all nearby vehicles

Breaker: Similar to the vehicle but longer range and less damage

Xero: Marks a member of the opposing team. Increases damage to that target and provides a reward if destroyed

Breaker: Drops a trail of hazards and gives him vision of enemies, allies, and objectives through walls.

Gravitron: Attracts nearby metal and debris to form an invincibility shield around the vehicle

Breaker: Particle field that attracts nearby collectible items and activates nearby traps

Sgt Rescue Guide

Smoke Commander: When active, any enemies you hit will be surrounded by smoke, severely limiting their visual range and radar

The process is actually really simple. You just need to be within range of an opponents vehicle, and the range is surprisingly large. When vehicles are approaching your character, while you’re on foot, you can dodge using the Circle button. Once you have successfully dodged an opponents attack you can quickly hit Triangle. This will mount you on top of your opponents vehicle and then a battle of reflexes takes place but you can give yourself an edge.

How To Steal (Takeover) Other Players Vehicles In Destruction AllStars

From the main menu of the game, open the options menu. Navigate to the Bindings Tab. Here you will see Quick Time Events. There is a Takeover Prompt Left and Takeover Prompt Right. If you’re not having much luck stealing other players’ vehicles, try to map these to other buttons. Neither the L2 or R2 buttons are mapped while on foot. As such, switching Left to L2 and Right to R2, could definitely help you speed up the stealing process.
