Archon’s Forge is the brand new Public Event in Destiny’s Rise of Iron expansion. Much like Court of Oryx players are tasked with finding items to summon powerful groups of enemies with the hopes of obtaining rare and powerful rewards. This Archon’s Forge Guide covers every aspect of Archon’s Forge from where to find the SIVA Offering’s to tricks and tips to winning each round.

Destiny Rise Of Iron Archon’s Forge Guide

Archon’s Forge is a brand new Public Event that tasks players with defeating difficult waves of enemies and a boss. Archon’s Forge can be found during the main story but in order to actually access the Public Event, you must be doing Patrol The PlagueLands and head to Archon’s Keep. Once there travel to the back corner and proceed through to the room with the large sphere-like objects. It’s the same area you have to pass through to complete the Captain kill quest and anomaly scan quest (for the Gjallarhorn in that area.

Once you arrive you will need to use one of several different items to begin the trial. There are multiple items you can use. Most of the lower Light level required items drop from regular Splicer enemies during patrol missions. They are not like Splicer Keys or other drops, they appear like a typical engram but white – so be sure to keep an eye out as they do not automatically enter your inventory.

There are 3 main types of SIVA offerings:

  • Fused SIVA Offering – 320 Recommended Light Level
  • Enhanced SIVA Offering – 340 Recommended Light Level
  • Perfected SIVA Offering – 360 Recommended Light Level

So far we have discovered all 3 types drop during Archon’s Forge at a much higher drop rate than normal enemies.

Note: You can only hold one at any given time so you cannot farm for multiple types and can only get a new SIVA Offering by either using or discarding the one in your consumables inventory or storing it in your bank. You cannot however transfer them between characters.

There are multiple types of each SIVA Offering. For example a Fused SIVA Offering can spawn Captains or Splicers, depending on the item. Read it in your inventory and it will tell you what it will summon – this is important as certain Weekly Bounties require specific Archon’s Forge enemies.

Boon Of The Forge

There is a bonus option available during all of the Archon’s Forge spawns. The Boon of the Forge is also a requirement to complete a step of one of the Rise of Iron quests. During the Archon’s Edge event you will eventually hear an alarm like noise, the same as the one in the Court of Oryx when the mines spawned. A few seconds after the noise one of the spheres on either side will open and a SIVA node will be inside – the red objects that cause damage when you’re nearby.

You have a few seconds to destroy it so make sure you get to it quick. If you destroy it before the sphere closes you will unlock the Boon of the Forge bonus. A few seconds after that the opposite sphere will open and will feature 3 axes, making it much easier to dispatch of enemies and bosses – especially for the Enhanced and Perfected SIVA Offering.

Splicer Keys

Splicer Keys are a very common item drop from enemies in The PlagueLands called Brood Mothers, a few other enemies also drop them. These are mostly used to open areas covered by a defensive laser grid, containing 1-2 chests and a few enemies. However, you can also use them at Archon’s Forge. If you die during the battle and your allies cannot revive you, you can revive yourself but you will be trapped behind an area near the terminal.

You can use a Splicer Key on the terminal to open it and get back into the fight. However, if you are here and the rest of your team are dead you will fail the Archon’s Forge mission and will not be able to get your SIVA Offering back.

Archon’s Forge Tips & Tricks

  • Try to get as many people as possible. With 4-5 people in the Archon’s Forge it greatly increases your chances of getting another SIVA Offering drop. We were able to continue with constant missions for 1-2 hours with a good sized group
  • At the end of each challenge make sure to search the area fully in case you missed the SIVA Offering drop
  • If you don’t have any keys or Archon’s Forge is empty when you arrive simply run back down the stairs and follow the corridor back to the outside area. You can then turn and run back to Archon’s Forge to load a new instance and possibly find some allies. When you run back to the outside area there is sometimes a Brood Mother directly across in the distance, if you can kill it from there you get a Splicer Key every time.
  • The highest level SIVA Offerings are possible at lower light levels but you need at least 5 well geared and skilled players.

If you have any further questions leave a comment and we’ll be sure to help.

How To Get The Khvostov 7G Exotic Quest In Destiny Rise Of Iron

The Khvostov 7G is an Exotic Rifle you can get in Destiny Rise Of Iron. The gun is completely optional and you can easily miss it if you don’t know where to look. This guide will tell you How To Get The Khvostov 7G Exotic Quest In Destiny Rise Of Iron

Where To Use The Splicer Intel Relay In Destiny

You cannot get this until you beat the main story line in the Rise Of Iron. When you do that, start a patrol mission in the Plague Lands. You will be looking for a Brood Mother(Wizard) while going looking around. They spawn pretty frequently if you kill on you will get a Splicer Intel Relay. This can be used to open a barred door in the world. You will need to travel back over to the Cosmodrome from the Plague Lands. You cannot just warp into patrol on Earth, you need to go from the Plague Lands. The way back to the Cosmodrome is pretty close to where you spawn in at for the Plague Lands. Go right and follow the path until you hit an area that goes up, but you cannot take your Sparrow up. Take that path and follow it through to get to the Cosmodrome.

After you make it there you need to enter the Breach. You will have to fight your way to the end of the area and then use the Splicer Intel Relay on the switch near the Laser door. This will open a path to the large ship outside. You have to fight your way onto the ship and then open the chest in the corner to find the Khvostov 7F Schematic. Return to the Iron Temple and you can start the quest to actually unlock the weapon. Talk to Shiro-4 there and you will start the quest “We Found A Rifle”. Now you will have to some grinding for the gun.

To get the 10 pages you just have to kill a bunch of enemies during a Plague Land patrol. You need 10 pages but it will most likely take way more kills than that to get them all. Finding the Parts for the gun is a bit more complicated then just killing enemies.

Weapon Part 1 – You need to enter at the Plague Lands but this is found in the Cosmodrome. Go to where you first get your ship, also the first place you fight a boss in Russia, it’s called Dock 13. You can find it under the stairs in the room away from the Boss.

Destiny Rise Of Iron Weapon Part 1

Weapon Part 2 – You can find this one in the Refinery. If you remember the Year 1 Strike where you had to fight the Spider Tank, this is the area you want to be in. Right after the laser grid that Dinklebot used to open for you, you can find the Weapon Part on the floor.

Destiny Rise Of Iron Weapon Part 2

Weapon Part 3 – The Last Weapon Part is also in the Spider Tank strike. You need to go where the Spider Tank is and on the side of the building in the beginning of the area you can find it. The Spider Tank can shoot you from there so try to bait a shot out of it before going for the part.

Destiny Rise Of Iron Weapon Part 3

When you have all the parts, warp back to base and get the next part of the mission. There is one last mission before you can get the gun. You have to kill some elite enemies. the first one warps around a bit and when you get him to about half HP he warps away to recover fully. Follow the red glowing mist to find him again. I had a buddy and I advise you bring one also. After you kill the first boss you will have to kill another but this time you can use the 7G. Talk with you Ghost at the end of the mission and turn in at the Hub to complete this chain.

One of the most iconic weapons in gaming makes a highly anticipated return but Where To Get The Iron Gjallarhorn & Year 3 Gjallarhorn In Destiny Rise Of Iron? The Rise of Iron expansion launched today and offered the Iron Gjallarhorn as a pre-order incentive for players looking to relive the glory of Gjallarhorn days of yesteryear.

Where To Get The Iron Gjallarhorn & Year 3 Gjallarhorn In Destiny Rise Of Iron

If you’re looking to bolster your arsenal straight away you’ll want to know where to get the Iron Gjallarhorn In Destiny Rise Of Iron. You’re going to have to put in a bit of leg work if you’re hoping to launch a rocket of death at the feet of your enemies.

The actual pre-order gives you the Iron Gjallarhorn skin but you will still need to get the Year 3 Gjallarhorn in order to use it. That’s where the work comes in.

Once you’ve completed the main story speak with Shiro to collect the Echoes of the Past quest. This will tell you to start a Patrol The Plaguelands mission. Once inside seek out a Brood Mother, take them down and you will get a Splicer Key. May take a couple of kills, they are the Wizards which are commonly found all over. Next up head to the Archon’s Keep area and farm the missions there until you find the mission marked with the Ghost icon, this will ask you to scan an anomaly. Head to the objective, you don’t have to kill the walker and scan the anomaly. This will then begin the Beauty In Destruction, head back to speak with Lord Saladin and then Tyra Karn.

You’re now tasked with finding all of the Iron Medallions.

Notes: As soon as you spawn into The PlagueLands in Patrol look to your right for the small hut. it is inside.

Bunker Triglav Iron Medallion

Bunker Triglav Iron Medallion

Notes: It’s in the large bunker complex. As you head inside take a left and it’s on some shelves, you can see the icon on-screen just outside the bunker. It’s not the one with 01 printed on the outside of the building.

Giant’s Husk Iron Medallion

Giant's Husk Iron Medallion Location

Notes: Difficult to get a wider area screenshot for this one. It’s up above the overpass, the large road above all of the enemies. It’s the area with lots of crates.

Forgotten Pass Iron Medallion

Forgotten Pass Iron Medallion Location

Notes: On one edge of the bridge, you can’t miss it.

Site 6 Iron Medallion

Site 6 Iron Medallion

Notes: Head to the very corner of Archon’s Keep and enter the area that takes you underground. Through Archon’s Forge. When you get to the door that requires the Splicer Key, just before the spider tank enemy thing, it’s on your left. Don’t go through the door.

Felwinter Peak Iron Medallion

Felwinter Peak Iron Medallion

Notes: On the left staircase inside Felwinter Peak. There’s some rocks you can climb. Climb the rocks up to the location where you see Killerklam in the screenshot above. Higher agility can help if you’re struggling.

Return to hand the quest in and you’re not far from your goal. You need to collect 5 Find Dormant SIVA Clusters at some point. Check our guide to find the first 5 easily. Once you’ve handed it in you’ll have to complete A Symbol of Honor quest on Earth. It’s on the North West corner of the map if you struggle to find it. Following that is Beauty in Delivery. These are basic quests, some tough fights but nothing you should struggle with.

Once you’ve completed that mission the Iron Gjallarhorn skin & Year 3 Gjallarhorn are yours.

This one can be found in both Patrol mode or during The Walls Come Down and The Plaguelands. Go to where the Knights used to spawn, just before the Sepiks Strike path, there’s a room nearby with SIVA close by. Inside on the right, behind a computer, is another Dormant SIVA Cluster.

Dormant SIVA Cluster Location #7
Felwinter Peak, the brand new social gathering area, is home to this Dormant SIVA Cluster. Where you spawn look to your left and you’ll see some rocks that you can climb. You need to climb all the way to the top.

Dormant SIVA Cluster Location #8
Another available during Patrol in the Cosmodrome or during The Plaguelands and The Walls Come Down missions. Travel to the Rocketyard and go towards the Refinery. Dormant SIVA Cluster Location #15
The final Dormant SIVA Cluster is during the final boss battle where you’re using the giant axe. When we grabbed this it was kinda in the midst of huge chaos. It was against one of the pillars. When in the Boss room: Do NOT start the encounter (just makes things easier)

The SIVA Cluster will be to the left on the pillar to the left when you walk into the boss room. next to the railing ON the pillar. Thanks to Vincent Agnira for additional information for #15.
