Roads are hugely useful for you and other players in Death Stranding but how do they work? This guide explains How To Build Roads In Death Stranding, allowing you to make travel between two locations much easier, faster, and safer, for you and other players that share your world.

Unlike many of the other structures in Death Stranding, Roads cannot be freely built. They are constructed much in the same way, requiring different materials in order to make, but you cannot place one with a PCC. You are not able to build roads anywhere, only in pre-determined locations you discover on your travels.

How To Build Roads In Death Stranding

You need to look for a very specific node, as shown in the image above. These are the deployment structures for Roads. Approach the device and hold the “Options” button to interact with the buildings functions.

Here you can see the required materials needed to fully build the road. If you check your map, you can see a rough outline of where the road will lead. Sometimes it covers a huge distance and 1-2 nodes is enough to bridge the gap between two cities. Others, require several roads to be constructed.
