Glitch Mode is not available at the beginning of the game. You must progress through your first few battles before a tutorial prompt is displayed, explaining the basics of Glitch Mode. Once you have done this tutorial, you are able to access Glitch Mode on any character.

Death End re;Quest Glitch Mode Guide

Glitch Mode transforms the chosen character into a new form, which is pretty much the same as the old form just with less clothes, and also unlocks more powerful abilities and increases the characters stats. In order to use Glitch Mode abilities, you must first enter Glitch Mode and then use the Glitch Mode ability as the third ability in an attack chain.

Glitch Mode is tied to character corruption, the dark percentage mark you see next to each characters portrait during combat. Certain enemies can deal curse damage that increases your corruption, but there’s another way of increasing it much quicker. Run around the battlefield and collect the purple Field Bugs. This damages your character and also increase corruption.

Once you reach 80% with any given character, they will immediately transform and you can use the Glitch Mode abilities.

Summoning powerful Queen Bugs is a very useful combat feature in Death End re: Quest. This Death End re;Quest Queen Bug Summoning Guide will answer all your summoning related questions including how to summon, how to unlock more queen bugs to summon and more.

Queen Bugs are a combat feature in Death End re:Quest but it is not available immediately at the start of the game. Before you are able to summon any Queen Bugs, you need to progress through the main story. Once you have completed the palace, you will encounter your first Queen Bug and from that point on, you can summon them in battle.

How To Summon Entoma Queen Bugs

In order to summon Queen Bugs in Death End re;Quest, you need to clear most of the combat area of Field Bugs. Field Bugs are the small circles of light dotted around the floor. The red ones deal damage to anything that picks them up, the blue ones restore SP. You need to clear the field of enough Field Bugs to reduce the Corruption to 50%, displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.

Once you have reduced the Field Bugs down to the 50% mark, hit the touchpad to open the Battle Jack menu. From here you can select Code Jack, Install Genre and Summon. Select Summon and then choose your Entoma Queen Bug. This will Summon the bug. Each attack from the Queen Bug further increases Field Bugs in the area, if it reaches a certain percentage, the Queen Bug will return and you will have to summon it again.

How To Unlock Queen Bugs

To unlock a Queen Bug that you can summon into combat, you need to defeat the Queen Bug in battle first. Once you have defeated a Queen Bug and collected its essence, it becomes available for selection whenever you use the summoning menu. Below is a list of the Queen Bugs we’ve unlocked so far, where to unlock them and the benefits they add to combat.

Death End RE;Quest has a number of choices that test your morality and decision making. This Death End RE;Quest Help Or Abandon The NPC will help you make the decision during a place cut-scene where you are given the choice to either help or abandon guards that are seemingly being devoured by the curse.

Be aware, this guide does contain very minor spoilers. When you reach a certain room located within the Palace, Lily and Shina encounter some Palace Guards, though seemingly they are not themselves. It turns out they are being devoured by the Curse, leaving Shina with a choice to save them or let them be.

Death End RE;Quest Help Or Abandon The NPC

This is actually a very simple decision to make. Not because you should obviously try and help the guards, but because of the outcomes.

Choose Help The NPC
Shina becomes engulfed by her own curse and dies. Game over. Yes, really.

Choose Abandon The NPC
Seeing as the other choice immediately ends your game and forces you to load a previous save, this is the choice you want to go for.

Death End RE;Quest features heavy scenes of dialogue and story, which is great unless you have to repeat it. This guide will tell you How To Skip Cut-Scenes In Death End RE;Quest as death is all too common and having to fight through endless dialogue a second time, just isn’t fun.

Death End RE;Quest boasts a complex narrative with deep characters and plenty of plot twists, so why would you want to skip cut-scenes? Well, the first time around you don’t want to. However, there are times where you’ll find yourself forced to load an older save file and skipping those cut-scenes saves valuable time.

How To Skip Cut-Scenes In Death End RE;Quest

There are two methods of speeding up your progress in cut-scenes. If you press Square, the scene will play out at rapid speeds. You can still catch some of the dialogue and can choose to slow it down if something interesting happens. However, there’s also a way of skipping the cut-scenes entirely.

Again, we don’t recommend doing this the first time you view a cut-scene. Death End RE;Quest throws twists and turns at you at every opportunity, and you don’t want to miss those. However, if you’re going into a cut-scene for the second time, just press L2. This will bring up the option to skip the scene entirely.

Death End RE;Quest features a large number of different types of Side Quests you can complete for rewards. This Death End RE;Quest Side Quest Guide explains the different types of Side Quests you will encounter on your journey, how to unlock each side quest and how to turn them in for your rewards.

After Lily joins your party and you return to the castle you can unlock Side Quests. Head towards any camp inside a dungeon, marked by a tent icon on your map, and you can interact with the tent to setup camp. There’s always a small bell nearby, which you can ring to summon X. Inside the Shop Menu, you can unlock Side Quests.

They are automatically accepted as you navigate to each tab. Every time you open the Shop Menu, be sure to press R1 or L1 to navigate through the different Side Quest Menu’s to unlock each type of Side Quest.

Death End RE;Quest Side Quest Guide

There are three different types of Side Quests in Dead End RE;Quest. The first section of Side Quests are called Subjugation Quests. These quests target specific enemies. You must kill X number of these enemies in order to complete the Side Quest.

Next up, Harvesting Quests. As the name suggests, these are quests that require you to collect a number of ingredients. These are found either inside chests or harvesting nodes scattered throughout dungeons. Chests do not respawn, however, if you leave an area and return, the materials you can harvest do respawn.

Finally, Special Quests. These are more unique quests that offer varying objectives for much greater rewards. Whenever you have completed a quest, you must return to the Shop Menu to hand in the quest and get the rewards.
