Premiering earlier today, the first behind-the-scenes episode of Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA’s Rise of the Ronin has been released.
The video, which can be seen below, states that Rise of the Ronin is both Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja’s most ambitious project to date.
Team Ninja has typically created action games that feature a linear design, but Team NINJA Game Producer and Director Fumihiko Yasuda stated that they wanted to create a game where players can truly immerse themselves in its world, universe, and story.
Players will take control of a powerful ronin, who was trained from a young age as one half of a pair by a group known as the Veiled Edge. Players will find themselves separated from their blade twin, finding themselves alone for the first time in their lives.
Composer Inon Zur also lent his talents to Rise of the Ronin. He states in the video below that features the Westernized cello with Japanese melodies that talks to this era.
