Dauntless features a robust selection of different weapons including guns, or Repeaters. This guide will explain Where To Craft Repeaters In Dauntless as they are not crafted in the same location as all the other weapons in Dauntless and feature a different tree of upgrades too.

There is a series of quests during the tutorial that will direct you to Janek Zai but if you don’t have the patience to wait, or you’ve forgotten where he is located in Rams Gate, he is easy enough to track down. As well as the main point of contact for all things Repeater, he also allows you to craft grenades.

Where To Craft Repeaters In Dauntless

If you start at the courtyard in Rams Gate, right at the beginning, finding the Repeater area is simple. Take a left and head up the stairs, go past The Middleman. At the top of the stairs look to your left. You will see a man standing outside his shop with a large gun symbol over the entrance.

Speak with Janek Zai at the Repeater crafting area. Here you can craft Repeaters and grenades.

After you make your character in Dauntless, you’re not stuck with their appearance. This guide will explain How To Change Characters Appearance In Dauntless after you’ve initially created your character and begun exploring the game world. After you make your character, the game does inform you that you can alter your appearance later, but it doesn’t tell you how.

Dauntless’ character creation is a little strange in places. Finding that perfect look with the minimal hair styles and designs can be difficult but thankfully, you can edit your physical appearance at any point in your adventure without spending any kind of currency.

How To Change Characters Appearance In Dauntless

Once you are in the game, head to the main entrance. Near the main entrance is Gregario Flint, he’s the NPC that shows you the Hunt Pass. Sitting near Flint is a large mirror. If you walk up to the mirror and interact with it, X on PlayStation 4, A on Xbox One, you are taken back into the character creation tool.

From here, you can edit your appearance as much as you like.

One of the starting quests in Dauntless asks you to craft one of two lanterns. This guide will explain How To Craft The Shrike & Skarn Lanterns In Dauntless as while it’s a very simple process to craft, it doesn’t actually list the names of the items required.

During the tutorial part of the game you will speak with Arkan Drew for the quest Light The Way. This quests ask you to make either a Shrike or a Skarn lantern. Don’t worry, you don’t have to make a choice, whatever lantern you decide to craft, you can always craft the other lantern afterward, if you wish.

How To Craft The Shrike & Skarn Lanterns In Dauntless

In order to craft the Shrike Lantern, you need some gold and another item, Torn Shrikefeather. While it may be possible to get this when injuring the Shrike, I personally only received the item after defeating the Behemoth and completing the hunt. Get a group, take down the Shrike, that should be enough to get you the Shrikefeather.

The other lantern, the Skarn Lantern, requires similar materials. Gold and one other item. The other item is Rockscale. You get this from defeating a Skarn, and also as a potential additional reward for not getting downed.

When you hunt down a Behemoth in Dauntless, the environments are randomized to a certain extent. This means it’s not a simple matter of telling you exactly where to go, but it’s more about the visuals of what you’re looking for.

Where To Find Omnistone In Dauntless

Omnistone is an ore, you can find it within small grey rocks, usually at the foot of cliffs. You can find them during the very early levels of the game and throughout much of the rest. If you pursue any of the Neutral Behemoths at the start of the game, I found Omnistones to be very common in these areas.

Where To Find Broken Bicuspid In Dauntless

The Broken Bicuspid is one of the many materials you will need to upgrade the higher tier weapons and armor in Dauntless. This guide will tell you Where To Find Broken Bicuspid In Dauntless so you can upgrade your weapons to the maximum level and rip through even the toughest Behemoths.

The Broken Bicuspid is a tooth, and it’s a hard one to obtain. There are various reports claiming multiple Behemoth’s drop the Broken Bicuspid but there’s only one I’ve found that drops it personally. You need to kill the Quillshot, the large Behemoth with the spikes on its back that it shoots out on a regular basis. It’s a tough fight the first few times so bring competent allies and some good tier healing materials.

This is another rare item that has a very low drop rate. It’s around the 5-10% mark, having killed the Quillshot 11 times and only receiving the Broken Bicuspid once. This is the only Behemoth I can guarantee drops it as it’s the only one I have personally received the drop from. However, there are reports on the Dauntless forums that other creatures also drop the Bicuspid, but the chance is equally low.

I will update with additional Behemoths that drop the Broken Bicuspid In Dauntless as soon as I encounter them.

Phoenix Opal’s are one of the many unique and rare ingredients you will need to get in Dauntless. This guide will tell you Where To Get Phoenix Opal In Dauntless so that you can upgrade specific items, weapons and armor using the Phoenix Opal material.

Thankfully the Phoenix Opal is relatively simple to get. Unlike other rare materials it is not associated with a specific Behemoth, so you don’t have to rely on crazy random drop chance to find yourself some Opals.

You need to search the map for mining nodes. These are large, gray rocks that are often infused with another color or material. The Iron nodes have a dark vein running through them, while the mining nodes you need for Phoenix Opal’s have a large crystalline structure in them. They are commonly found in the earlier maps. You can find several nodes on the map with the Rogue Gnasher mission. The nodes are often found at the foot of cliffs and more common on the outer areas of the map.

Where To Get Dulled Scales In Dauntless

Dulled Scales are one of them many resources in Dauntless that you’ll need to find to upgrade certain weapon and armor sets. This guide will tell you Where To Get Dulled Scales In Dauntless so you can upgrade your weapons to higher levels and get those rare armor set bonuses.

As with many of the resources and materials in Dauntless, you’ll have to pray that the RNG gods are with you. It’s a randomized drop and there’s very little you can do yo increase the chances of having it drop. The quickest way to get Dulled Scales in Dauntless is to defeat Rogue Gnashers.

Rogue Gnashers are the beaver type enemy. They are very easy to kill, especially if you’ve progressed to the higher tiered armor and weapons. The Rogue Gnasher is the weaker version of the Gnasher, meaning you’re able to kill it much faster than the normal Gnasher – and the drop is equally as common against the Rogue Gnasher and normal Gnasher.

You don’t have to break off the tail to receive the Dulled Scales – although I found more success after breaking the creatures face. It’s approximately a 15% drop rate so be prepared to do a few runs. That’s everything you need to know for Where To Get Dulled Scales In Dauntless.

Where To Find Aether Hides In Dauntless

As you progress through Dauntless and want to upgrade your weapons and armor, you’ll need various rare materials such as Aether Hides. This guide will tell you Where To Find Aether Hides In Dauntless so you can upgrade the beginner armor sets, pimp out your favorite weapon and take on the games most challenging Behemoths.

Aether Hides are a common resource and only really used when upgrading the lower tier items in Dauntless. The main source of Aether Hides are the deer/goats that you see flaunting around the game world. They can be found on any of the starter maps, although they are not on later maps such as the Desert area. So pick a basic hunt against a Rogue Gnasher or something just as weak. I did find the Goats on the ice map to have a higher drop rate.

Explore the map until you find one of the Goats running around. Attack them once with your weapon and you should see a shiny object fly off. If one doesn’t, someone has already attacked the goat as they only drop an item once. There’s greater chance that you will get a Broken Horn instead but keep trying and you should be able to get an Aether Hide after 3-4 goats.

One of the early quests in Dauntless has you looking around for some Fruit Sap. The thing is you don’t know where it is or even what it looks like. Check out this guide to find out Where To Find Fruit Sap In Dauntless.

Where To Find Fruit Sap In Dauntless

The quest you get is called Sapping Strength and it on The Shelter Frontier map, the same map where you hunt the Shrike. These are little bushes with blue berries on them, they can be hard to locate. I found that I had the best luck near the edge of the islands and near trees when looking for them. The picture up above is what they look like on the map. If you have the air ship support item that will help you find materials, use that in the woods to help locate them. These are not a 100% drop rate and sometimes you get berries instead of fruit sap but if you keep finding them you will get 10 within a couple of hunts.

Where To Get Iron Ore In Dauntless

Dauntless Founder’s Alpha is now available and with it, tons of exciting weapons and armor to create. You’ll need lots of different materials, including Iron Ore. This guide will tell you Where To Get Iron Ore In Dauntless so you can upgrade your weapons to take down the bigger Behemoths.

There are various places that you can farm Iron Ore but one of the quickest is on the Wings of Fear mission. This is the Shrike map. From the start you can run directly ahead and look to the left, you’ll see a large rock with brown veins running through it. Use E on the rock to harvest the Ore, which is Iron Ore.

You can find these veins on many other areas of the map. It is always up against or near a rock face, and is most often found on the outer areas of the map.
