When you first reach the Central Maintenance area where the Field Training Room is found, the room is blocked off by a red mist of Hiss. At first, it’s unclear whether or not you can progress or if you need a new skill or ability before you can enter.

How To Enter The Field Training Room In Control

Thankfully, if you have the Launch ability, you can enter straight away. In the immediate area you will find several much smaller red pockets of Hiss. They are covering the speakers and a plant in the vicinity. Using your Launch ability, toss an object at the Hiss to destroy it. Once you have destroyed all three pieces of red Hiss in the area, the door will be cleared and you can go on through.
