The default control scheme in Call of Duty is a hold to interact option. Default on PlayStation is holding Square to pick up items or open doors, while on Xbox it’s holding X to open doors or pick up items. This is fine most of the time but if you’re rushing to escape the gas or have enemies hot on your heels, every second is vital and holding to pick up items is slow.

How To One Button Pick Up In Call Of Duty Warzone

Changing the control scheme allows you to change the hold prompt to a simple press prompt. Opening doors, picking up weapons, opening chests, it all becomes a single button push. It may take a couple of rounds before you’re used to tapping instead of holding but if you can get to grips with the change in controls, it will speed up your gameplay and make collecting items much faster and more intuitive.

To change to a one button push style, follow these instructions:

  • Go to the Options menu
  • Select the Controller tab
  • Scroll down to Weapons
  • Select Use/Reload Behavior

At the start of every Warzone game, you begin in a plane. You are given the option of dropping anywhere on the map with your team, unless you’re playing solo. As such, it’s a great idea and a very valuable skill to learn to manipulate your descent so you can reach important areas of loot before your enemies get there.

How To Descend Faster With Parachute In Call Of Duty Warzone
When you first jump from the plane you are in free fall. You can deploy your parachute at any point and then cut it before deploying it again. This allows you to control your descent with great accuracy, sacrificing distance for speed at the appropriate times so you can reach your location before enemy players. However, you may have noticed other players falling at a much quicker rate.

When you are in free fall, not when your parachute is deployed, look down at a slight angle. If you don’t look far enough, it will not work, if you look too far, it will not work. Get the right angle and then press Sprint (L3). The angle increases your speed and the sprint, after a bit of testing, seems to do the same as well. This dramatically increases your speed, letting you drop quicker and reach your location faster. You will know you have the angle correct because the scream will blur and provide physical cues that you are dropping much quicker. You can also cut your chute and deploy it again for even faster descent.

The Warzone update for Call of Duty Modern Warfare is now available to download and as of today, it’s available as a stand-alone free-to-play client. You do not need to own the Modern Warfare game to play the game, and the same can be said for your friends. Warzone is also cross-platform, meaning you can play with friends on any platform. Anyway, playing solo. As I said previously, the game does not support it officially. Even if you manage to play solo, you will be matched up with other players who are likely to have chosen to form a three man team or perhaps a duo.

How To Play Solo In Call Of Duty Warzone

Playing Solo is a gamble. You will be matched in a lobby that consists almost entirely of other players in groups of 2 or 3. Playing solo is also not guaranteed. When you are in the lobby for a game of Warzone, you will notice a Squad Fill option. The Squad Fill option has two different filters you can apply, Fill and Don’t Fill. You want to select Don’t Fill. This means the game will attempt to not fill your party with random players.

It’s not guaranteed. Sometimes it will still place you in a full team but until solo mode is officially supported, this is the only way to do it.

Contracts are available in both modes and are squad-wide. This means if you grab a contract, your entire team can complete the objectives and reap the rewards.

Contracts are a brand new feature introduced to Modern Warfare with the Warzone update for Call of Duty. They are available in both Battle Royal modes, and offer much of the same rewards for doing so. Completing Contracts can reward your team with lots of cash to buy Killstreaks with, and also has a chance of dropping some great loot, armor plates, and other useful items.

How To Get Contracts In Call Of Duty Warzone

Contracts are very easy to acquire. They are found all over the map. Using your Tacmap check for three distinct icons. A Magnifying Glass, a Crosshair, and a Flag. These are the three different Contract types currently available in Warzone. They all have different objectives and the rewards differ slightly, but it’s usually always money and some weapons, so each of them are worth doing. Some will alert nearby players of your objective, rewarding them if they interfere but with enough map experience, you can find some quiet spots to farm some Contracts without many problems.

Killstreaks work differently in Warfare, they are not unlocked the same as MW. This guide on How To Get Killstreaks In Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone will tell you everything you need to know to find yourself some Killstreaks and drop a well placed Precision Airstrike on some camping foes.

In regular Modern Warfare, Killstreaks are rewards for a good performance. More specifically, stringing together a series of kills without dying. They are also a reward mechanic in Warfare but they are not equipped prior to the match. The Killstreaks you have equipped on your loadouts have zero effect whatsoever in Warfare or Plunder modes.

How To Get Killstreaks In Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone

Instead, Killstreaks are awarded in one of three ways. Firstly, you can find a Buy Station (marked by a trolley icon on the map) and purchase from a pre-determined list of buffs, bonuses, and Killstreaks. They aren’t cheap, so you will need to make lots of money killing other players and completing contracts. Once you have the cash, simply visit a Buy Station and purchase your choice of Killstreaks. You can only carry a single Killstreak at any one time. However, if you have excess cash, you can drop the cash for a team mate to also pick up a Killstreak.

The other two methods of finding Killstreaks are random. Every Cache you find, the shining boxes that play the audio effect when you are close by, has a very small chance of dropping a random Killstreak (from the same list as the Buy Stations). It’s not a high chance, perhaps 5%, so maybe 1 in 20 boxes will drop you a loot item containing a Killstreak. This is not an exact figure, just a guess from personal experience.

Some of the Cache boxes also glow a yellow, gold-like color, for Contract Objectives. These are rarer caches that have much better loot. Killstreaks in this boxes are nearly guaranteed on the final Cache. That’s How To Get Killstreaks In Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone.

The Modern Warfare Warzone update is now live and with it, the chance to play with friends. This guide explains How To Join A Friends Party In Call of Duty Warzone so you can take to the field of battle alongside one or two of your closest friends. War is more fun with allies, right?

Call of Duty Warzone is now available and free to download for all players on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC and it supports cross-platform play so whatever platform your friends are playing on, you can join up and play together at any time. Warzone is currently restricted to three man teams, although it is possible to play single and duo if you really want to, although it is unbalanced against other players being in groups of three.

How To Join A Friends Party In Call of Duty Warzone

When you are in the Warzone lobby there are many options here. You can navigate to challenges for XP and rewards or you can form a group and party up with your friends. If you want to join a room with your friends, it’s the same process on any platform. You press Triangle (PS4) or Y (Xbox One) to navigate to the Social menu. Once you are in the social menu you can find your friends on your friends list and either add them to your party or select to join their party.

Call of Duty’s new Warfare mode has just released but already people are asking How To Play Singles & Duos In Call of Duty MW Warzone as currently, each time you join a game, it seems to automatically dump you into a group of three prior to joining the actual game.

In short, we don’t believe there is currently an official matchmaking system for solo games or games with a single team mate, duos. The official information has largely focused on support for three main teams, which is currently the default option when you join a game. This was the same for the previous BR mode in the franchise so it’s very likely the features will come at a later dater. However, there is one thing you can do that may help.

When you are in your lobby, either alone or with a single other friend, you can change the Squad Fill to “Don’t Fill”. This tells the game that it does not want you to fill your squad. This works as both a solo competitor and as a duo competitor.

When you start the game there is a chance that the game will launch as a solo or duo. However, you are still in a lobby filled with other 3 man teams, so you will be at a disadvantage based on pure numbers alone. However, there is also a chance the game will completely ignore your request for “Don’t Fill” and it put you in a three man anyway. Currently however, the “Don’t Fill” option is the only potential way of being able to play singles or duos in Modern Warfare Warzone.

Modern Warfare’s Warzone update introduces brand new challenges. This Call of Duty Warzone Boot Camp Guide will walk you through each of the basic Boot Camp objectives such as pinging enemies and items, collecting different weapons, calling loadouts and more.

Challenges have always been a fantastic way of unlocking new items and Warzone’s challenges are the same. There are tons of emblems, calling cards, spray tags, and other items available if you complete single challenges within a challenge group, with the best rewards unlocked once you have all of the challenges within a group.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone Boot Camp Guide

Ping An Enemy – Double tap up on the d-pad when targeting an enemy
Ping An Object On The Ground – Highlight an item on the floor and press up on the d-pad once
Ping Danger In The World – Look at any location and press up twice
Collect A Weapon In One Different Match – Pick up a weapon in a match
Collect Your Loadout One Time – Collect a loadout by waiting for a Loadout drop at the end of the match or calling one in at a Buy Station
Collect Cash – Collect piles of cash from the ground. Chests and player loot counts as well as random cash found on the floor
Survive In The Gas Field – Spend 1 second in the gas and then escape. A Gas Mask reduces the damage taken
Pilot A Vehicle For 5 Minutes – Be in a vehicle as the driver for 5 minutes. Does not work as a passenger
Open 10 Caches – Open the Supply Boxes littered around the map. Pay attention for the audio hints.
Use 6 Armor Plates – Find and use 6 armor plates total

Your first Boot Camp mission is pinging an enemy. In this guide we explain How To Ping Enemies In Call Of Duty Warzone as the less patient players among use probably ignored the Warzone tutorial entirely, in favor of jumping right into the action. Can’t blame them, we did the same.

The Boot Camp is a brand new addition to the Missions & Challenge section of Call of Duty Modern Warfare, introducd with the Warzone update. Players can now navigate to the Barracks to find a brand new selection of challenges centered around the Warzone content update.

How To Ping Enemies In Call Of Duty Warzone

The first challenge in Warzone is to ping an enemy. This is explained in the tutorial but if you’re here, you’ve forgot or you skipped it. Shame on you. Anyway, pinging marks things on the screen for your allies to see. When you ping an enemy, an item, or a location, your entire squad receives the same ping message on screen. This is fantastic for declaring the location of an enemy, some armor, or another valuable items for your team to grab.

Pinging is simple. You need to highlight an enemy and press up on the D-Pad. This will highlight the enemy, much like in the image above. The easiest way to do this, if you’re struggling, is to land quickly at the start of the match and then look up at the skies. You will see many players still coming down on their parachutes, slow moving and easy to target.

Simply aim your reticle at one of these players and then press Up on the D-Pad twice to ping an enemy. And that’s How To Ping Enemies In Call Of Duty Warzone.
