The League is a new co op covenant in Bloodborne that you can join a few days before The Old Hunters DLC launches. After you download the new 1.07 patch, you can join the covenant. Check out this article to find out How To Join The League In Bloodborne!

How To Join The League In Bloodborne

I know alot of you are starting new characters for the Old Hunters DLC so you do need to get a bit deeper into the game to join the The League Covenant.

You need to make it to the Forbidden Woods in order to find Valtr, the leader of The League. He can be found inside the Windmill in the Forbidden Woods. The quickest way to get to him is to warp to the Forbidden Woods way point and go through the door on the right. You will find him inside and you can talk to him, assuming you have the latest patch. This is assuming that you have the shortcut unlocked.

If you don’t have the door unlocked, you will have to go through the Forbidden Woods a bit. You will find the shortcut to the Windmill right after you go through the building near the guy who is shooting at you with a cannon. After you get out, cross the bridge and go right up the slope to find an elevator that will lead to the inside of the Windmill. Now you can open the door and access the The League.

When you join you will get a new rune that gives you 2% more HP when you are doing Co Op. Now you can get Vermin when you help other hunters hunt!

Bloodborne Guide: Armor Location Guide
Weapons are great but armor is what keeps you alive to fight another day. Your starter armor is only going to get you so far and new armor is hidden throughout the game. This guide will help you find all the armor as you go through the nightmarish lands.

Bloodborne Armor Location Guide

Your start armor is okay but the Hunter Gear is what you should shoot for first.

Hunter Gear

First you will have to get past the Graveyard section of Central Yharnam, where the big dude is beating on the door. Once you go up the stairs you can either fight some werewolves or go down the stairs on the other side. Take the stairs on the other side and bust through the crates on the left once you are down the steps. You can see a ledge that you can drop down to. Drop down to it and then drop down again and again until you reach area below with new enemies, DO NOT drop all the way down to the Rats yet. Clear out all the enemies up top before you take the ladder in the middle down to the Rats.

After you take down all the enemies up top, go down below and deal with the Rats. They don’t have much HP but they hit hard. Follow the water all the way to the edge on on your left you will see an item you can loot, this is your armor. The whole set will be a huge upgrade from your old set and you will be able to take on new enemies with it on.

Top Hat

You can get the Top Hat outside of the Oeden Chapel. Take the door that leads to the Graveyard and kill the two enemies roaming the area. You can see the loot near a tree, behind some tombstones. You will get another set of Hunter Armor and a Top Hat. Once you get the hat run away because some purple energy circle comes at you, not sure what it does.

Black Church Gear

I think this might be used for something later in the game.

Go to the Cathedral way point and take that to the Hunter Chief Emblem area. If you haven’t been there yet, go through the Graveyard and up the stairs past the giant enemy with the Axe to get to it. Once you are inside take the left path and deal with any enemies you come across. Keep going until you hit the street with doors and windows to interact with. On this street you can find the Black Church Gear, it is across from a door you can interact with.

Father Gascoigne Gear

When you have 10 Insight in the Hunter’s Dream a new shop will open up outside the house. There you can buy Father Gascoigne’s armor for Insight and it has decent arcane resistance. Remember if you have less then 10 Insight the shop will not be accessible so try to keep it higher than 10.
I am updating this as I go so check back soon for more gear!

White Church Gear

This armor is found in the Forbidden Forest. Once you get to the village in the Forbidden Forest, you will see a bunch of dog cages and a few dogs. Near the dog cages you should see a building that goes up higher than the rest of the buildings in that area. go around that until you find a ladder and up top you can find the Armor, beware of the flock of crows up top! The building is also near the large gate you can close in the village.

Bloodborne White Church Armor Location

Yahar’ Gukl Black Garb

You need to do this before the Red Moon comes into play. Go to the Hypogean Gaol way point and exit the church. Take the right path down to the carriage. You will have to kill a Pig and a few other enemies to get there. The carriage has the armor on it. In order to get to the Hypogean Gaol you need to be captured by the Bloody Sack enemy near where you get the White Church Armor in the Forbidden Forest.

Student Uniform

I think this might be used later for something. You can find this in the chest, in the Manor at Byrgenweth. You will have to fight a hunter in order to gain access to the chest.

Bone Ash Armor

Killing the hunter in the Manor at Byrgenweth will unlock this set in the Insight shop in the Hunter’s Dream.

Side quests in Bloodborne are few and far between but normally worth doing. You don’t really get a symbol or signal that there is a quest in an area so missing them is easy. This guide will help you find the side quests in Bloodborne while you are playing the game!

Bloodborne Side Quests Guide

If you know one that I missed please leave a comment.

Finding The Girl’s Parents

This one is actually very helpful to you because of the item she gives you to start. There are two ways to get to her in Yharnam. You can get to her easy if you already have the shortcut unlocked but we will go over that in a bit. Head down into the sewers, near the area where you first found the Hunter’s Armor and first encountered the crawling dead things in the sewer. Take the ladder up to the wooden platform and then take the next platform even higher. At the top of the ladder take the path to the left and kill the big guy on the other side, you can sneak up on him and do a power attack easily. Climb the ladder next to him and at the top you will see a red lantern next to a window. You can talk through the window to a little girl and she will give you a Tiny Music Box.

The Tiny Music Box can be used against the Father boss to stun him briefly. Before you leave area, be sure to hit the switch to open the gate near her. With that you can just take the path from the Yharnam way point to here. You cannot beat this until you beat Father Gascoigne and collect the Red Brooch from that area. Once you have the Red Brooch bring it back to her and give it to her. She won’t say anything at the moment but I will check back later to see if she wants to move or something.

Flame Sprayer

This isn’t so much a side quest but the guy does help you out in the beginning. Go to the Central Yharnam way point and you can see a red lantern near a window. Talk to the guy inside and he will tell you where you should be going for the first two bosses. After you kill Father Gascoigne you can come back to him and he will give you the Flame Sprayer gun. You basically spray fire in front of you with this and it consumes bullets the longer you use it.

Oeden Chapel Recruitment

The guy in the temple wants you to bring people here for safety.

Grumpy Old Lady – The first person you can get is a Grumpy Old Lady from Yharnam who thinks it’s your job to help her. Go to the Central Yharnam waypoint and go through the left gate. Take the stairs down to the building with the crazy wheelchair guy inside and cross through. Keep following the path to the Dog cages and kill any Dogs that you want to. Cross the bridge from there and knock on the door with the Lantern. Tell her about the Oeden Chapel and she will go there on her own time. She doesn’t give you anything at the moment.

Scared Woman – I found another person at the bottom of the Hypogean Gaol jail area. I got killed in the Forbidden Woods by a strange enemy and when I respawned I was in jail. From there go all the way to the basement and talk to the girl near the vases. I’m not sure if you need church gear on or not but I had it on and she noticed it. Talk to her three times and tell her about the Cathedral. If you talk to her again in Oeden she will give you a new emote and her blood, which heals you and gives you regen for a bit.

Crazy Guy – DO NOT BRING THIS GUY TO THE CATHEDRAL OR HE WILL KILL EVERYONE ELSE! While you are going through the Forbidden Woods you will come to a point where people are shooting a cannon at you. Past the cannon there is a large building that you have to go inside to progress. Go through the building and go out where the wind is blowing and you can see a massive drop to your death. Go around until you find a ladder and climb up it to get back inside. Cross the metal things to get to the other side and go outside again. Here you will see the crazy guy near some corpses.

Red Light Girl – When you open the door with the emblem go to the left down the hall way with the two masked guys with lanterns, kill them go down and take another left and there will be 2 red lanterns. Across from each other is a skeptic guy and the other is a prostitute. Talk to the guy 3 times until he tells you to go away then go back across and talk to the prostitute and you can tell her about the cathedral. Then talk to the skeptic and he will ask you about the cathedral you told the prostitute about, if you pick the chapel he will laugh it off but if you tell him about the clinic he has a different reaction I haven’t discovered the clinic yet so I will check back. (Thanks David)

Iosefka’s Clinic

If you go back to Iosefka’s clinic, and walk all the way back into it, there will be a closed door at the top of the stairs where you can speak with someone, and she asks you to tell any survivors they can go to Iosefka’s clinic. So as it stands, I think you have the option of telling people to go to Isoefka’s or Oeden’s. (Thanks Oni3298)

You can send the same people from above to here if you want but they WILL die. The only person I sent there was the guy who murder’s everyone, the crazy dude looting the corpses. This is better for PVP players because you get the anti healing items from killing them in the clinic.

Where To Use The Hunter Chief Emblem In Bloodborne

Go to the Cathedral Ward waypoint and take the stairs out to the Graveyard. Once in the Graveyard take the stairs that lead up to the giant enemy with an Axe. He isn’t to strong so you can kill him if you want. After you deal with him, take the stairs all the way up and you can use the Emblem at that gate.

Where To Find The Rune Workshop Tool

The Rune Workshop tool will allow you to add Runes yourself for extra stats and buffs. You can find the Tool in the Witch’s Abode, which comes off of Hemwick Charnal Lane. After you get the Grand Cathedral waypoint go there and take a right outside of the doors. Follow that path all the way to the end to make it to Hemwick Charnal Lane. From there you need to find and kill the boss and loot the room after her for the tool.

The Password To The Door Beneath The Cathedral

You will need to beat the boss at the Grand Cathedral to get the item you need for the password to the door. I forgot the bosses name but it is the one in the Church with all the white flowing hair and the pendent. After you defeat her you will get a Pendent that let’s you gain access to the door down below. You can use the Pendent after for a Bloodgem.

Where To Use The Tonsil Stone

You can get the Tonsil Stone from the guy in the window near the Central Yahrnam way point after you beat the Cathedral boss. When you have it warp to the Central Yahrnam way point and leave. Take the path to the left and follow it all the way down, past the enemy Hunters and the Giant armored enemies with axes. Inside this building you will see a giant tentacle monster that would normally kill you in one shot. With the Tonsil Stone, let him pick you up and he will almost kill you but not quite. You will now be in a new area, good luck.

I am updating this as I go so be sure to check back soon for updates!

Bloodborne Guide: Weapon Location Guide
Survival comes easier in Bloodborne when you have the right weapons. Some are easy to find or can be bought, while others are hidden throughout the game world. This guide will help you find all the weapons in the game and give you a fighting chance against the darkness!

Bloodborne Weapon Location Guide

Once you die and end up at the Hunter’s Dream you will have a choice of three trick weapons.

Saw Cleaver – One of the three starter weapons you can get at the Hunter’s Dream, 90 damage. The transformation of the blade increases its range. This is a good weapon for short fast attacks and long ranged attacks. This is what I went with. You can buy this later for 1000 in the Hunter’s Dream

Hunter Axe – A second weapon you can get at the Hunter’s Dream, 98 damage but a little slower. You can use this as a one handed Axe with strong semi slow swings or, as a two handed Axe with long range strong attacks, hits multiple targets often as well. You can buy this in the Hunter’s Dream later for 1000.

Threaded Cane – The last weapon you can choose from the Hunter’s Dream, 78 damage but faster attacks. This can also act as a whip for distance attacks. This becomes available to buy for 1000 later.

You also get to choose between two guns at the Hunter’s Dream.

Hunter Pistol – The pistol is faster and has more range than the Blunderbuss but it doesn’t push enemies back as much. Can be bought later for 1600 at the shop in Hunter’s Dream.

Hunter Blunderbuss – The Blunderbuss is best for keeping enemies back while they are up close. You can buy this in the Hunter’s Dream later for 1700.

Saw Spear – Much like the Saw Cleaver but a spear. Instead of striking overhand you strike side to side with this, more of an AoE attack. You can find this in the Sewers, near where you found the Hunter’s Armor set. From the Armor drop down lower into the sewers. Deal with the enemies down here and take the ladder up to the next level. Keep following that path until you find another ladder and take that up as well, you will be shot at on the way up so be at full HP. At the top you have a couple of snipers and crows to deal with.

Once they are dealt with go through the doorway up there to the wooden floor area. Here there are some wolf people you will want to kill and one sniper to the left of where you come in at. If you look down you will see a bunch of rats, and some boats, you need to go down there later but not quite yet. Once all the enemies are dead loot the area and go up the stairs. Directly at the top of the stairs look left for a broken window. Take that window out and you can see two hanging bodies near some wooden beams. Go chop them down and they will fall into the Rat area. Drop down a level and heal up before dropping down the the Rat area below. Clear out the Rats and one of those corpses you chopped down will have the Spear for you!

You can also buy this later at the Hunter’s Dream for 1000.

Repeating Pistol – A stronger pistol that becomes unlocked after you beat the Cathedral Beast. You can buy it in the Hunter’s Dream for 3000. Just so yo know, each shot with this actually takes 2 bullets.

Flame Sprayer – Go to the Central Yharnam way point and you can see a red lantern near a window. Talk to the guy inside and he will tell you where you should be going for the first two bosses. After you kill Father Gascoigne you can come back to him and he will give you the Flame Sprayer gun. You basically spray fire in front of you with this and it consumes bullets the longer you use it. This does take a little bit of Arcane to use.

Kirkhammer – This weapon is actually two in one. First you get a very large, very strong hammer that can end a foe in a couple hits. With all that weight it is very slow to swing though. On the other hand you have a long sword that does decent damage, but attacks much quicker than the Hammer. You can buy it for 3000 in the Hunter’s dream after you beat the Cathedral Beast. This does take 16 strength to wield.

I am updating this as I go so check back soon for more! If you know one I missed be sure to leave a comment so I can add it!

Bloodborne Guide: Father Gascoigne Boss Guide
The second boss you will encounter in Bloodborne is Father Gascoigne. The battle starts easy but quickly becomes difficult against this former hunter. This guide will help you bring down Father Gascoigne without to much trouble.

Bloodborne Father Gascoigne Boss Guide

He will start off with a Hunter Axe and a Blunderbuss as his weapons. What he normally does is a combo that ends with a Blunderbuss shot. He will also use the Axe to knock you into the air so he can swing on you while you are down. The Blunderbuss is hard to dodge but the Axe swings are easy to avoid. Try to limit your combos or else he will counter with a Blunderbuss shot.

Once he gets to about 30% hp he will change into a demon, this is where the fight gets hard. He only has a couple of attacks but he hits so fast ans so hard that getting caught up in it means death. First off he has like a 6 hit combo that ends with a slam attack(if you get caught by this you are dead). Sometimes you get lucky and he will only strike one but that is rare. He can also do a leaping attack that is normally followed up by his rage combo to finish you. You can dodge it if you time it right. I would normally dodge him to the left when he was swinging his right arm.

Bloodborne Father Gascoigne Boss Guide

Try to get someone to help you if you can. Make sure you bring plenty of Blood Vials to keep yourself topped off. Once Gascoigne turns into a monster you need to be at 100% hp constantly or else he will finish you with his super fast combos. If you get hit just run up the stairs and down the ledge to heal up, he should fall behind on the chase giving you enough time to heal.

When the fight starts you should see a tree to you left near some tombstones. You should fight here and use it as cover when you need to heal and dodge him. His Blunderbuss can still get through the tree but his body can’t which will prevent some of his melee attacks from getting to you. Just watch out for his leap attack, that can still hit you behind the tree. After he strikes and you dodge that is when you should go in for a combo. He will normally push you back with his Blunderbuss, so heal up as you need to.

Once he loses enough hp he will go to the two handed Axe. He can knock you into the air with his Axe at this point and really do some damage. The tree still works as something to run around while he is striking, you’ll just have to move a bit more. Same as before you let him do his combo and then wail on him. Be ready to move when you get him to 30% HP.

Once he gets down to 30% HP the fight gets really difficult really quickly. First off you should dodge because him changing will hurt you and push you back. If you need to heal you should run up the steps and fall down the ledge on the other side. The chase should slow him down enough for you to heal up. He can do a leap attack, so move away from the ledge a bit so he doesn’t just jump on you. When he starts his crazy combo up you should be ready to dodge. In between swings you will have enough time to dodge right past one of his arms. dodge past the arm that isn’t swinging and once you are behind him do some damage. He gets alot more armor at this point so bringing him down will take more time. At this point it’s more about dodging his attacks then landing your own. If you can dodge his combos you can put some damage on him and finish him.

Once the Father is down you can move on with the game.

How To Play Co-Op In Bloodborne
Why die alone when you can bring in some other people to die with you? The Bloodborne Co-op is a little different from the rest of the souls games. This guide will help you set up some Co-op so you can get a hand on the tough enemies!

How To Play Co-Op On Bloodborne

You will need two things in order to get people to join your world. First you will need the item called “Beckoning Bell” which you get in the Hunter’s Dream after the first boss. Second you will need some Insight, which you can get from items and beating bosses. When you are in the world you can use the Beckoning Bell to signal that you want to play Co-Op. Unlike the other games in the series you don’t place a sign down, you can keep moving and still signal you want co-op. The tricky part to this is another person has to also be looking for co-op in the same area as you. I’ve had the most success finding partners right before boss areas and outside check points. You can use the Silencing Blank to stop looking for a partner or to get rid of a partner you already have.

The Beckoning Bell is how you get people into your world. You need a different item to join other worlds. First you will need to have 10 insight and go back to the Hunter’s Dream. ON the outside of the house, go out the window area, you will see a second shop. Here you can buy a Small Resonant Bell for 1 Insight. You need to use this in order to gain access to other peoples worlds. So if you want to play with a friend you need one to use the Beckoning Bell with a password on. while the other person uses the Small Resonant Bell with the same password to join. It is a bit of hassle at first but it gets easier as you do it. YOU ALWAYS NEED 10 INSIGHT TO ACCESS THAT STORE! So if you go below 10 it will go away until you get 10 again.

How To PvP Bloodborne

You get the Sinister Resonant Bell item from the same store you get the Small Resonant Bell from. With it you can choose to invade other people during certain parts of the game. Be careful though, sometimes your opponent will have an ally or two.

Now you can teammate with randoms or a friend and conquer Bloodborne together!

Bloodborne Guide: Cleric Beast Boss Guide
The Cleric Beast is the first boss you will encounter in Bloodborne. While he isn’t super difficult he can kill you very quickly if you don’t watch what you are doing. This Cleric Beast Boss guide will help you burn him down on your first try!

How To Beat The Cleric Beast In Bloodborne

The Cleric Beast has some very basic attacks you will want to watch out for.

First off he likes to jump around alot. Typically he puts his big arm on the ground and leaps at you if you are to far away. When you see him starting to leap you should run towards him and roll under the leap.

Secondly he will try to grab you if you are right in front of him. If he gets his hands on your expect alot of damage or an insta death. This is best avoided by not fighting right in front of him.

He also does this move where he smashes his big arm into the ground and red aura starts to surround him. I’m not sure what this does because I went on the offensive when he did that and staggered him. If you see him doing it you should just try to break his guard to avoid any unpleasantness.

He also does normal swipes and combos when he is close enough to hit you.

Cleric Beast Boss Fight

You should bring 20 Blood Vials and as many Moltovs as you can to make this fight alot easier on yourself. I’m not 100% sure that his weakness is fire but they were doing massive chunks of his HP compared to what my Saw Blade was doing. Don’t forget to finish you combos with a gunshot! NEVER stand directly in front of him while hitting him or else he will end you easily. It might be worth testing the Torch out on him to see if it does alot of damage or not, I didn’t get to try it.

When the fight starts he will drop down from the Cathedral and start swinging. Get yourself a bit of distance and if you have a shot toss a Moltov at him. You should be ready to dodge because a leap will be coming. Once he leaps get behind him and start a combo. I would normally get 3-4 hits on him and back out before he would take a swipe at me. Remember to keep moving around him so you aren’t directly in front of him.

He will keep circling and swinging on you. After your combo you should get some distance and heal up if you need to. He will leap again but you will be ready for it. The idea is to get in there and hit him, run back out, let him leap, and hit him some more. Keep doing this until he does the thing were he starts to glow red. Once he is glowing ready you need to hit him with a massive combo to stagger him. Once he is staggered feel free to use another combo or a Moltov to really do some damage. Once he recovers repeat the combo/dodge routine to finish him.

The biggest issue I had fighting him was being cornered. Do not put yourself in a spot that you can’t get out of quickly. He hits hard but ultimately you can survive 2-3 of his hits without dying. Once he is down go back to the Hunter’s Dream for a couple of new rewards and the ability to upgrade!
