It’s worth noting that we believe it is possible to miss some of the Tribe Weapons. After you defeat two tribes there is a choice where you can choose to end the conflict early or continue the crusade. Your choice there determines whether or not you’re able to conquer the other tribes and claim their weapons as your own.

Biomutant Tribal Weapons Guide

Myriad Boomerang (Myriad Tribe)

The legendary Myriad Boomerang is unlocked by siding with the Myriad Tribe and then taking out an opponents stronghold. The leader of the Myriad Tribe will give you this boomerang as a reward.

Jagni Staff

After you defeat the first Tribe Fort, as an ally of the Myriad, you can claim this as part of the main quest after the fort falls.

Netra Clawchain

Conquer the Netra Tribe and after taking their fort, you will get to claim this weapon.

Ankati Bow

You obtain this Tribal Weapon by defeating the Ankati Tribe, they are the Tribe in the Deadzone area.

The Lotus Shuriken

If you want to unlock this tribal weapon you need to defeat the Lotus Tribe in Mushimosh Mire

Pichu Nunchuk

To add this Tribal Weapon to your increasing arsenal, you need to defeat the Pichu tribe in the Fnackyleaves region.

Side Quests in Biomutant are a mix of complexity and simplicity. The quest objectives themselves are marked on the map and quite easy to follow but the actual quests themselves are hidden until you reach a certain location or interact with a certain item. As such, the same Side Quest can be started in multiple locations. Below is a list of each of the Side Quests we’ve discovered at the earliest location we could find them. It’s easy to find the quests once you’re in the general region, look on the screen for pulsating interaction icons and you’ll be able to find them without much trouble.

Biomutant Side Quest Location Guide

Automaton Noticeboards

You need to find 15 Noticeboards. This quest can be started by interacting with the noticeboard that stands at the bottom of the stairs, just before you enter Bricktown.

Find The Flush Stools

You need to find and solve 5 toilet puzzles. Track the quest on your tracker to find their locations. You can start this quest by investigating a toilet and completing the puzzle in the underground area of Bricktown

The Solar Mirror Sight

This quest is only available if you side with the Myriad and take over this stronghold. Once it’s taken over, you’ll find an NPC inside the stronghold that will give you the quest.

The Azure Gnoat

Head to this location and you’ll find a goat-like mount that you can tame.

The Chugyard

Head to the South entrance of The Chugyard to start this quest.

The Oxygen Suit

Head to the Hypoexia area in The Chugyard after you meet and speak with Gizmo, it’s just near to where he is sitting. Get close to dying and you will get this quest.

The Mekton

After you find your first Mekton Wreckbox, this quest will begin.

Back To The Roots

This side quest is given as part of the story, you can’t miss it. After you defeat the first World Eater.

Bandit Rampage

Head to Camp Ako. You will unlock this quest when you reach the door.

Captives

Release a Captive that is behind held in an enemy camp. There is one in Ako’s Camp for the Bandit Rampage quest.

The Sun Dials

Locate and solve a Sun Dial puzzle and this side quest becomes available. You can find Sun Dial D7 at this location.

Find The Stronkboxes

There is a gas station at this location. Inside is a safe. Solve the basic puzzle to open the safe and you will unlock this side quest.

Find The Springplonks

There’s a small building here guarded by an enemy tribe. Clear them out and head inside. Solve the piano puzzle to unlock this side quest.

Old World Storage 4H

There’s a boss encounter at this location. Defeat the boss and loot the key to start this side quest.

Old World Storages

Complete Old World Storage 4H and this quest unlocks to show you where to find the other Old World Storage locks.

Chubsa The Tortler

There is an NPC on the beach here, not far from the bridge. Speak with him to unlock this side quest.

Find The Twing-Twangs

There is an old ruined house at this location. Enter the house to start this side quest.

Find The Ring-Dingers

There is a tower at this location, it’s used in the story when you plan to take the second Tribe Fort. Interact with the phone and solve the puzzle to unlock this side quest.

Pebbles Climb Spot Tests

You can find Pebble at this location. You need to complete his quest to upgrade your Klawbar.

Pebbles Zipline Test

Complete Pebble’s Climb Spot Tests quest and then this side quest is the next in the chain.

The Heatzone Suit

There’s a Heat zone in this area. When you approach the Heat zone, stay within its boundaries for a few seconds and a brief cut-scene will play. After the cut-scene, you will unlock this quest.

Spying The Eyebox

Speak with an NPC in Hubbledun to get this side quest.

Maya Doom

There is an NPC standing by the side of the road at this location, tending to some bushes. Speak with him to get this quest.

Find The Pling-Plong Booths

Pling-Plong Booths are phonebooths. Once you’ve found one, you’re tasked with finding and solving the puzzle for 4 more. Solve the phone box puzzle at this location to start this side quest.

Getting In The Groove

Take over this outpost and then speak with the NPC near the market to get this quest.

The Mirage

There is a huge badger like creature at this location, a friendly one. As you approach, you will get this side quest.

The Googlide

You unlock this side quest through progression in the story.

It Takes A Village

Head to this location to find a village under attack. The quest starts once you enter the area.

Lost, Not Found

Speak with Trim, an NPC with a hut at this location. After some lengthy dialogue, he will give you this quest.

The Biohazard Suit

Head to this location, inside the Biohazard area, after a few seconds you will unlock this quest.

JuJu

During the Lost, Not Found quest, you will be sent to speak with an NPC that will give you this quest.

The Schacky Trunkgnut

Head to this location and speak with Moog. He will ask you to hunt down monsters for a quest.

Old World Vaults

During The Schacky Trunkgnut side quest, you kill a boss that drops a vault key. Follow the objective to the vault and you will unlock this side quest.

The Sparky Twigsnout

Complete The Schacky Trunkgnut and then return to Moog. He will give you another quest to hunt down this beast.

The Coldzone Suit

Head to the Cold Zone at this location to get this quest.

Charred For Coal

Head to this location and speak with Boom. He will give you this quest.

Boom

Complete Boom’s previous quest, Charred for Coal, to unlock this quest.

Flameflies

Speak with Mito at this location to begin this side quest.

Clean Surf

Speak with Gill at this location to get this side quest.

Mounts are an integral part of the Biomutant experience. Some of them allow you to travel faster, some are fantastic in combat, and others will allow you to use special abilities to access areas previously unavailable. Mounts are scattered throughout the world in Biomutant but if you know their location, they are easy enough to hunt down and tame. In order to tame most of the mounts in the game, you will need to find some special Pips.

Please note that most mounts can be found in multiple locations. The mount locations we have listed below are chosen based one ease of access and how common the mounts are in that particular spot.

Biomutant Mount Location Guide

Puki Azure Gnoat

You can find a small herd of Puki Azure Gnoat’s at this location, just down the hill from the stronghold there.

Item Required: Koko Pip

The Mekton

The Mekton is a huge mech suit that’s fantastic in combat. This is unlocked through story progression, quite early in the game, so you cannot miss it.

Miff Gnoat

This four legged aardvark-like creature can be found here, at a small camp just East and down the hill from the nearby fast travel point.

Item Required: Pirro Pips

Puti Gnoat

Head to this location and you will receive the main quest, The Meat Eater. A carnivore is attacking a goat-like demonic looking goat. Defeat the Meat Eater and you will unlock the Puti Gnoat mount.

Surfipelago Gnoat

There is a gas station just West of this location, on the road. Follow the road to the location I’m standing above and you will find the X roaming nearby.

Item Required: Beet Pips

Bula Gnoat

You can purchase this mount for 1,250 Green Stuff from the merchant in Lotus Fortress.

Sult Azure Gnoat

You can find a group of Sult Zure Gnoat’s at this location.

Item Required: Koko Pip

Mos Azure Gnoat

You can purchase this from the Skypook Outpost in The Deadlands for 1250.

Abo Gnoat

You can find this horned beast near the waters edge at this location.

Item Required: Peel Pip

The Googlide

After you meet with Out-Of-Date at the Tree of Life for the story, he will give you a quest to speak with Goop. Complete that quest to unlock this mount. It allows you to traverse over water.

Turgel Gnoat

These are quite common in many areas but this is the only area I was able to discover a Pine Pip nearby.

Item Required: Pine Pip

Mekamjut

A mechanical, horse-looking mount. This is unlocked through progression in the story, when you start helping Noko.

Mjut

You get this mount by completing Noko’s questline in the main story.

Koko Pips are used to tame mounts. There are a lot of different mounts in Biomutant. Some will allow you to explore at a greater pace. Others, like the giant mech suit, are a fantastic aid in combat, and some even allow you to unlock access to areas that would otherwise be impossible to reach. Koko Pips are a consumable item. This means that, once used, it vanishes, and you cannot use it again to tame another mount. As such, you will need to find more Koko Pips if you want to tame more animals.

Where To Find Koko Pips In Biomutant

Koko Pip Locations 1,2,3

There’s a very small body of water at this location. There are three Koko Pip’s at this spot.

Where To Find Pirro Pips In Biomutant

Pirro Pips Location #1

You can find a Pirro Pip at this location. There’s an encampment here and the pip can be found right next to the main tent.

Pirro Pips Location #2

There’s a Pirro Pip bush at this location, near some other animals

Pirro Pips Location #3

There’s a Pirro Pip bush at this location, it’s sitting on the side of the road that leads up to the fort

Where To Find Beet Pips In Biomutant

Beet Pips Location #1

Just down the road from the gas station near this location, you’ll find this Beet Pips in a bush.

Where To Find Peel Pips In Biomutant

Peel Pips Location #1

You can find a Peel Pip sitting in a bush on the side of the road next to the bridge.

Where To Find Pine Pips In Biomutant

Pine Pips Location #1

There’s a Pine Pip bush near one side of the broken road bridge at this location

They are all obtained in a similar method, completing a specific side quest. When you reach a certain point of the story in Biomutant, Out-Of-Date will tell you of an Ark that can be used in a worst case scenario. He has seats reserved for you, your Tribes leader, and Out-Of-Date, but there are four more seats available. You can invite another member of the world on the Ark once you have completed all their quests but a word of warning. If you select “no” when inviting someone on the Ark, you do not get to invite them again, so don’t approach them without saving the game first.

It’s also worth noting that not all animals will accompany you, even when offered. It depends on your current Aura alignment compared to theirs. We’ve already gone over who you should choose to take on the Ark, but what are the options?

Who Can You Take On The Ark In Biomutant

Noko

You can find Noko sitting at his ranch at this location. After you defeat the Hoof Puff, you can speak with Noko and ask him to join the Ark.

Goop

After you defeat the Porky Puff, Goop will be standing next to the leader of your tribe at this location. If you want to invite him, speak with him and offer him a seat on the Ark.

Chu-Chu

After you complete Chu-Chu’s quest to power the train and get the grease can, if you speak with him again you can invite him to the ark.

Whiz Tinkerer

After you defeat Murk Puff you will see him and your tribe leader at the location after the World Eater is defeated. You can speak with him there to add him to the Ark.

JuJu

Speak with Juju at this location and complete the quest. Once completed, she will ask you for a spot on the Ark immediately.

Trim

Complete the first two quests for Trim. When you deliver the second quest, he will immediately ask for a seat on the Ark.

Moog

You can find Moog at this location. You need to complete his monster hunting quests. I was full light alignment and he refused to join, even when offered a seat.

Boom

Boom is another one that refused to join me when I was full Light Aura. You can find him at this location. You must complete both of his quests first.

Gizmo

You meet Gizmo very early in the story. Later, near the end, you can recruit him to the Ark. He refused me other so I think you need to be more Dark Aura than Light.

Gulp

Gulp will join you once you’ve completed his side quest. You can find him here.

Mito

The quest for Mito was bugged so I was unable to complete and can’t verify if you can invite him but I believe you can. You can find him here.

Gill

Speak with Gill here and complete his quest to invite him on the Ark.

Nova (Community Submission)

On my playthrough I joined the Myriad clan and eventually switch to the Ankati who were a neutral tribe. While progressing through their tribe war I came across Nova in the observatory near the middle-left side of the map. She had the coolest side quest and then it gave me the option to invite her to the Ark, just thought I should mention it because I didn’t see her on the list. I’m also max light aura and she seemed to like that.

Biomutant is a game about splitting paths and important decisions. It is filled with choices and consequences. Some of these are very basic, merely progressing a conversation in a particular direction. Other choices can influence your Aura, whether you’re going down the path of light or dark. Others have a much greater impact on the game, going as far as to change the ending.

Biomutant Happy To End This Early Or Let’s Continue The Crusade Choice

If You Choose Happy To End This Early
If you make this choice the Sifu is pleased and the tribes all unite. There’s a cute cut-scene showing the tribes training and bonding together. This choice allows you to claim the tribal weapon of the clan after you have defeated the second Tribal Fort but you cannot claim the other Tribal Weapons from the other Tribes. After making this choice I visited the other Tribal Forts and although I could explore, interact, and shop without confrontation, I was not able to obtain any of the Tribal Weapons for those regions.

However, this does cut quite a significant portion of the game away. You will immediately ally with all remaining tribes and will no longer have to attack forts and strongholds. You gain access to all the shops, but you still have to travel to each fort manually.

If You Choose Let’s Continue The Crusade
If you make this decision, the Sifu is surprised. He is surprised that you chose to continue the war against the other tribes when you have the option to end it early. This choice allows you to continue the conquest of the other tribes, adding more forts and outposts for you to conquer. You can also continue to claim the other Tribe Weapons from making this choice.

Ultimately, it’s up to you. If the repetition of taking all the forts and towers has become a bore, you can choose the first choice and avoid doing any further content in that particular field. Otherwise, especially if you want additional weapons for your arsenal, the second choice adds more content to the experience.

If You Choose Myriad Sifu

If you want to choose the Myriad Tribe you need to take the natural tunnel, not the broken road. On route you will encounter Myriad troops fighting with Jagni troops, the Myriad troops are immediately aligned and cannot be attacked, as you make an enemy of the Jagni tribe. You will meet the Sifu of the Myriad and there you will have a choice on where to join the Myriad or refuse.

This is a huge choice that determines the outcome of the game. You will work with Tribes to save the Tree of Life and you will be limited on choice when dealing with rival Sifu’s to either Unite or Subdue them. This is the more “good guy” path.

If You Choose Jagni

They never force you to kill any of the other Sifu’s or tribes, but it is strongly implied that is how this tribe operates. If you want to just kill everyone without any repercussions the join up with the Jagni. You also get the Bo staff as your first tribe weapon.

Biomutant features a varied narrative that twists and turns as the plot progresses. There are many occasions where you are given a choice to make. Sometimes the consequences of these actions are immediate, raising or decreasing your light and dark aura’s, other times the consequences are more subtle or not seen until much later in the game. Check out our Biomutant Choices & Consequences Guide for other choices.

This choice happens multiple times throughout the game, but the result remains the same.

If You Choose Put Him Under Lock And Key At Our Fort
If you make this choice your Sifu agrees with your decision and says it will give your rivals time to come around to your way of thinking. You can then claim the legendary tribe weapon as the next main objective in the quest.

If You Choose Let Them Join Us
If you choose to let the defeated Tribe join you, your Sifu also agrees. He thinks its a good gesture to offer to support to others. Both tribe leaders shake hands. You’re then able to grab the legendary tribe weapon as with the other choice.

Kill Him
If you join the Jagni then you get the option to kill the enemy Sifu as well. This will give you some dark points, but so far nothing else has happened outside of us taking the forts.

Initially it appears these decisions have no impact. While that is true in the immediate, there is no light or dark change to your Aura, it does have an impact later in the game. The ending of the game differs slightly depending on the positive and negative choices you make throughout.
