This is another battle against a Colossus that is not very Colossus’ey. It’s a small but well armored dog like creature with horns, that runs at you and pins you down very easily. It’s very easy to get trapped into a corner and rammed to oblivion so try and be aware of your surroundings at all times.
There are 4 large pillars in the area, each with flaming pits atop them. This is your recipe to success. You need to hide down the side of any one of these pits and climb to the top. Once at the top wait for the 11th Colossus to ram you. This will shake a stick free that drops to the floor. You need to jump down and grab the stick with R2. If it’s not flaming, you must climb the pillar again and light it on the torch. Just burning embers is not enough, it needs to have a visual flame coming from the top.
Once you’ve got your burning stick position the beast so his back is facing the outside of the area. Use your stick to push him off the side, showing a quick cut-scene as you watch the monster drop down two levels and lose the armor protecting its back.
Jump down, mount the beast and take out the weakspot on its back. If you fall off before taking it down, you’ll need to run back around to the entrance of the temple so you can climb and jump back onto its back.
