This is a multi-stage fight. When you first discover the giant 15th Colossus, the ape like fellow will come straight for you. There are small platforms on the left and ride side down the middle and at one end. They are directly below stairs. You need to stand in this area and have the Colossus do a giant stomp on you. Roll out the way before it lands and it will cause the panel you’re standing on to dislodge so you can climb up to the next level.

On the next level bait him again with some arrows. He will take a giant swing with his sword, knocking down pillars so you can go up to the next level. At the top level, stand on one of the bridges and bait him close. He will destroy the bridge so make sure you are standing at one of the ends. From there you can jump down onto his head. You want to do as much damage to the head as possible, until it stops doing damage.

After that head down to his right elbow, the same hand holding the sword. There’s a weakspot here. Take it out and he drops his sword. Once the sword is dropped and you’ve finished the head, drop to the floor. Now he will try and either stomp you if you are close, or pound his fist at medium range. Stay at medium range so he can slam his fist into the floor. Quickly grab the fir on his hand to discover the final weak point. Lay in a few shots there to bring it down.

This one is a long one, but not overly difficult. When you approach the Colossus, who sits at the top of some stairs, look around. You will see a destroyed pillar on the floor leading up to some ruins. Follow those around, staying above ground level, until you reach another pillar. Climb this and then shoot an arrow at the 14th Colossus to anger it. It will attack the pillar. Two attacks and the pillar falls, giving you greater access to the next area and other pillars. You need to repeat these tactics going all the way around, pillar to pillar. Eventually a pillar will break through a huge wall, which puts you right back to the start of this area.

Once you’re at this point stand where I am standing above and anger the Colossus again. This time it will bring down the entire platform you are on, removing its armor and revealing its weak spot on its back. From there, it’s just a matter of taking it down.

This one is huge. Like, super huge. It’s a dragon type Colossus that flies around the skies and can burrow beneath the sands. Whilst its airborne you will notice 3 groups of large, skin-like sacks on its underbelly. Ride alongside it with your horse and fire arrows. It takes 1 single arrow on any of the sacks in a set to destroy it. Once you destroy all 3 sacks the Colossus has to lower its altitude. At this point it begins to drag its wings through the sand on ground level.

Catch up and ride alongside on your horse before jumping off and mounting the wings. Once atop the dragon enemy you need to crawl down its back to each of the large fin like parts sticking up. Under each of these lies a weak point. Each one can only be attacked twice so you need to take them all out to finish it off.

You’ll struggle to do it in a single run as eventually it burrows beneath the sands and knocks you off. When it does this, it inflates the sacks again so you need to repeat the first step. If you lose sight of the massive dragon in the sky, use your sword beam to locate it with the light trails.

This one can be quite difficult. Hell, I struggled finding the 12th Colossus. Once you’ve found it, there’s a very specific technique to bringing this one down. As soon as it arrives swim directly behind it. It’s faster to swim under the water as he turns slower and sometimes you can get a free push when he is turning. From his back you can mount his fur and climb to his head.

On his head is a crown of teeth like objects. A set on the left, a set on the right and a set down the middle. These each correspond to a direction. Hit the left teeth to make it turn left, right teeth to make it turn right and the center teeth to make it go forward. You need to direct it to one of the two large ruins in the water. Once you are close enough jump onto the roof of these ruins.

Once on the roof he will launch an electrical attack from its head. Stand behind the small circular part of the building that sticks up. After that it will pull back and then lunge onto the platform, you can’t get hurt here so just stand on the small overlook on the edge. Once his front legs are on the building you can see the weak point in his stomach. Jump on, do your thing. Repeat a second time with the other building. Job done.

Following the sword beam North of the temple works fine. You cross a bridge, travel a bit further and cross another bridge into a heavily wooded area but that’s where the help stops. You’d be forgiven for jumping to your death into the ravine, as that was my first solution. Alas, it was wrong. As you enter the forest you want to take a right turn, just before you reach the large stump as shown in the screenshot above.

Turn directly to your right and you will see a very small clearing between two rock faces. Head through that small clearing and come out the other side to take another right. There’s a large clearing ahead.

Follow it all the way around until you can go no further on the horse. Climb the pillar, circle around and swim up to the large water area ahead.

There are 4 large pillars in the area, each with flaming pits atop them. This is your recipe to success. You need to hide down the side of any one of these pits and climb to the top. Once at the top wait for the 11th Colossus to ram you. This will shake a stick free that drops to the floor. You need to jump down and grab the stick with R2. If it’s not flaming, you must climb the pillar again and light it on the torch. Just burning embers is not enough, it needs to have a visual flame coming from the top.

Once you’ve got your burning stick position the beast so his back is facing the outside of the area. Use your stick to push him off the side, showing a quick cut-scene as you watch the monster drop down two levels and lose the armor protecting its back.

Jump down, mount the beast and take out the weakspot on its back. If you fall off before taking it down, you’ll need to run back around to the entrance of the temple so you can climb and jump back onto its back.

The 10th Colossus is arguably one of the more challenging ones, depending on your ability to ride your horse and use your bow at the same time. If you’ve got that down, you’re good to go. Mount your use and spend all of your time running around the very edge of the area in a large circle. Keep pace so that the 10th Colossus is able to catch you at a slow rate. As it nears it will begin to lift its head above the sand. All the while you should be shooting it with arrows.

Once its head is above the sand it will launch a twist attack once it’s within range. It leaps out of the sand and rolls, hoping to catch you during the roll. If you are far enough ahead it will miss and sometimes smash straight into the outer wall. Once it smashes into the wall it will become incapacitated for a short time. During this time mount its back and take down the weak points. You’ll need to stun it twice to finish it off as it recovers fast and you cannot maintain a grip once it travels under the sand.

The Ninth Colossus is another environmental based beast. This huge four legged turtle like hulk is powerful and can quickly dispatch of your entire health bar. I hope you’ve been mastering your horse as you’ll need its mobility to get through this one.

In the large open area in front of the cave where the Ninth Colossus spawns, you will notice several geysers, cracks in the surface spewing out water. You need to lure the Colossus to a geyser in order to bring him down. Stay at range, if you are too close it will stomp on you, still too close it will launch fireballs at you. You need to be at a range where it must move to get you. Once it moves over a geyser it will slant to the side a little.

This is your cue to get underneath its belly and shoot the two feet that are at an angle. Once you hit both the beast will roll over and topple. From there, climb its stomach and get onto its back. Wait for it to return to its feet and then navigate the shell on its back to reach its only weak point, the head. Several large hits will be enough to bring him down in one swoop.

If you are unfortunate enough to fall or get knocked off, you can use a geyser to knock him down two more times without having to shoot his feet – it will fall straight to the floor. After that, you’ll have to repeat the basic steps to topple it again.

Unlike the previous enemies you have fought, the Eighth Colossus isn’t overly, well, colossal. It’s rather small compared to previous encounters. As such you will not spend much of this fight in the safety of a beard or tail mount, this ones all about your footwork.

When you begin you’re on the top floor. Work your way down to the 1st floor so you are 1 floor above the Eighth Colossus. Look down and shoot him with an arrow to get his attention. He will shoot fireballs at you. While easily avoided initially, these also leave a lingering cloud that can be very damaging so stay clear.

Eventually, as you run around the first floor, it will begin to climb to reach you. This is your chance. Once it has started climbing shoot one of its legs. This will stun the creature and open an attack on another limb. Shoot another leg and it will fall down to the ground. You can safely jump down from the first floor without taking too much damage.

Once it falls, the two weak points on its stomach are revealed. Take them both out repeating the steps above to defeat this Eighth Colossus.

When you begin this fight you are in the water, this is where you’ll spend the entirety of this battle if you do it correctly. The Seventh Colossus is too deep underwater for you to attack directly so you need to use yourself as bait. Swim around on the surface of the water, jumping in its line of sight. This will eventually attract its attention. You can tell when it has noticed you as its eyes turn orange.

Once you are noticed it will begin to head to the surface. There is a degree of visual impairment here as what you see underwater, isn’t the monsters exact location. As it nears the surface each lighting rod on its back will send out a powerful jolt. Stay clear until all 3 have passed and then make a line directly for its tail, holding R2 when it nears. This will allow you to grip the tail.

Once on you will be taken on a little ride. When you are below water, just hold R2. Don’t attempt to move as you cannot, but it still drains stamina faster. Each time the part of the body you are on surfaces, move forward to the next weak point. There is a weak point by each electrical tendril on its back. Take out all three of those before attacking the weak spot on the top of its head. Job done.
