Poker Roguelike Balatro Launching February 20

In what very well may be the first poker roguelike, LocalThunk and Playstack’s Balatro will release on February 20.

Designed to be a hypnotically satisfying deckbuilder, Balatro is anything but ordinary. Players will need to utilize different Decks, Jokers (150 in all!), Tarot cards, Planet cards, Spectral cards, and Vouchers as they set out to turbocharge poker hands and create synergies.

To add to Balatro’s psychedelic experience, players can listen to its synthwave jams, take in the CRT fuzz, and admire the hand-crafted pixel art. As the development team stated, this will lead to “the ultimate roguelike flow state.”
