High-Profile Additions Added to CD PROJEKT RED’s Project Orion
The team at CD PROJEKT RED has announced several high-profile additions to the team working on their Cyberpunk 2077 follow-up Project Orion.
Being headed up by the US and Canada-based CD PROJEKT RED North America, scope out the full list below:
- Executive Producer Dan Hernberg previously worked as Head of Production at Amazon Games, Head of Production and Product Management at Panic Button, and Lead Product Manager at Blizzard Entertainment.
- Design Director Ryan Barnard previously worked as Game Director at Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft, along with Gameplay Director at IO Interactive.
- Engineering Director Alan Villani previously served as VP of Technology on various WB Game products, including technical direction on several Mortal Kombat releases.
- Lead Writer Anna Megill previously contributed to Control (Remedy), Dishonored: Death of The Outsider (Arkane), Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (Ubisoft Massive), Guild Wars 2 (ArenaNet), and the upcoming Fable (Playground Games).
- Alexander Freed has previously worked as a narrative designer and comic book writer, with more than 15 years of game writing experience. He previously worked as Lead Writer at BioWare on Star Wars: The Old Republic, also writing and consulting for DICE, Obsidian Entertainment, Wizards of the Coast, and 20th Century Fox’s games division FoxNext.
The company is hiring for different positions across its Boston and Vancouver locations, with the full list of job openings available on the official CD PROJEKT RED website. This website will be further updated once new openings are available.

The organizers of the 24th annual Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA) announced that composer Yoko Shimomura will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and Fawzi Mesmar will receive the Ambassador Award.
Players will be able to celebrate the Year of the Dragon in Techland Games’ Dying Light 2: Stay Human with a number of in-game activities and rewards.
