Beautiful flowers aren’t used too often in Palworld, though there are a few late-game recipes you’ll need to use these for. One of the things you can use Beautiful Flowers for is the Flower Bed, which can increase the gathering speed of the Pals in one’s base.

You’ll need to go to one of these islands and start looking for bright red flowers. See below for a point of reference – they stand out for a mile:

Note that Beautiful Flowers are fairly common once you get to one of these islands. Just remember that if you fly a certain distance out, the stuff tends to respawn.

The ones in the video below are the Sanctuary Islands; see below on where to find the Sanctuary Islands on the map below:

So, in summary:

How to Eat Food in Palworld

In our case, we had the food in our inventory menu and could not for the life of us figure out how to eat it.

In order to eat your food in Palworld, once you have your food prepared, you will see a “Use” button. See below for a point of reference:

In the case of Xbox, this is the “Y” button.

So, in summary:

How to Build a Roof in Palworld

As simple as it sounds, we struggled with it for a half hour and couldn’t quite get it how we wanted it. However, we did find some tricks to make it work.

What you have to do to build a roof in Palworld is to first build the basic roof tiles above you. See below for an image that can serve as a point of reference for the square tiles you need above you:

From there, use the Wooden Slanted Roof tile to get on top of the roof:

Note that it is a bit finicky! You’ll need to use this as a bridge piece between the two. From there, you’ll need to build a lower roof first off the side, then build above that. You’ll need to do it on the other side as well – see the video walkthrough above as an example.

Finally, once the roof is completed, go into the disassembly mode to disassemble the pieces of roof you used to help make the roof, and it will give you a fully functioning roof.

While it is definitely more complicated than it should be, we are aware that Palworld is in Early Access.

So, in summary:

• To build a roof in Palworld, first build the basic roof tiles above you.

Where To Find Ancient Civilization Parts In Palworld

Ancient Civilization Parts are quite valuable items, as you’ll need these for a lot of the high-end crafting recipes. You’ll also need them for the egg incubators.

We’ve done a bunch of bosses, and we found that they all drop them. We found that the World Bosses drop them, the bosses that will start in the stone circles where you go through the portal will drop them as well. Dungeon bosses will also drop them.

If you’re looking for dungeons, you can use Leezpunk to seek them out within 100 meters.

So, in summary:

• Bosses drop the Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld.
• If you’re looking for dungeons, you can use Leezpunk to seek them out within 100 meters.

Where To Find Leather In Palworld

Early on, our recommendation on where to get leather in Palworld is with both Vixy and Direwolf Pals.

These two can be best found in the starter area – see below for a map reference point:

The other easy way to get leather in Palworld is to head to the Small Settlement (see below) and buy leather from the merchant there for 150 each.

So, in summary:

• Leather in Palworld can be obtained early on with both Vixy and Direwolf Pals in the starter area.
• Leather can also be purchased at the Small Settlement by the merchant for 150 each one.

Where To Find Honey In Palworld

There’s a couple of spots we would recommend to find honey in Palworld. Honey in Palworld can be found in Cinnamoth Forest – see below for a point of reference on the map:

The Cinnamoth Pals drop honey if you defeat them. While they are low level, capturing a Cinnamoth Pal does not let you produce honey at your farm.

Once you’re at around level 20 in Palworld, look for Beegarde’s in the region shown below:

If you can capture a Beegarde Pal and bring it back to your base, they will produce honey for you. Be warned, though; Beegardes travel in packs of two to three with a queen, and they self-destruct. Be sure to capture Beegardes quickly!

So, in summary:

• Honey in Palworld can be found in Cinnamoth Forest with the Cinnamoths.
• Beegarde Pals can produce honey back in your ranch once you’re around level 20.

Where To Find Dragon Eggs In Palworld

As you can see in our inventory in the image below, Dragon Eggs in Palworld are rare!

The spot we go to find Dragon Eggs in Palworld is Obsidian Mountain. It’s the lava cave in the bottom-right portion of the map – see the map below as a point of reference:

In order to go to this area, you will need some heat resistance, and you’ll also want to fly.

With this loadout, be sure to check out the top of each ruin; you will find a number of Scorching Eggs in doing so. However, this is also where the Dragon Eggs spawn, in these higher areas in Palworld’s Obsidian Mountain.

While you’re still in the same area, go towards the river in Palworld in the area to find effigies and a lot of eggs here too. We found our first two Dragon Eggs in Palworld near the river.

So, in summary:

• The spot we go to find Dragon Eggs in Palworld is Obsidian Mountain – bring heat resistance and make sure to fly.
• Check the top of the ruins in the Obsidian Mountain in Palworld to find Dragon Eggs – they are rare though.
• Another spot to check for eggs in the Obsidian Mountain area of Palworld is the river area.

Where To Find The Best Mining Pals (Level 2 & 3) In Palworld

We’ve found the best level 2 and level 3 Mining Pals in the location shown below in the northwest corner of the map:

Note that this is not an early in-game thing.

The level 3 Pals in particular are especially good, because that is all that they do. The beach in this area is mostly okay. Note that going a bit further in will turn into heat if it is daytime, so you will need at least level 1 heat protection. Also, it will get cold at nighttime, so you will need level 1 cold protection.

What you are looking for in particular are two Pals: Digtoise and Dumud.

Dumud is okay, as he is a level 2 mining Pal. However, Digtoise should be your primary target; he is very good, but he does eat quite a bit.

So, in summary:

• The best level 2 and level 3 Mining Pals in the northwest corner of the map.
• What you are looking for in particular are two Pals: Digtoise and Dumud.

How To Join A Guild In Palworld

When you join a guild in Palworld, you’ll be able to use their base and play co-op.

In order to do so, you’ll need to find that player and also find their actual person. From there, you just need to hold “X.”

Before you do this, we do have to make note of one thing. In our video example, our Editor-in-Chief Blaine Smith built a bunch of stuff. When we joined him, we got a chance to use all of his stuff. When Blaine joined us, we lost all of our stuff because he built it.

On that note, for whoever built stuff – do NOT have them join their guild.

So, in summary:

• When you join a guild in Palworld, you’ll be able to use their base and play co-op.
• Find the player and also find their actual person, and then hold “X.”
• For whoever built stuff – do NOT have them join their guild.

How To Get Ancient Technology Points & Unlock Ancient Tech In Palworld

All you have to do in order to get ancient technology points and unlock Ancient Tech in Palworld is defeat bosses.

You’ll see a number of character portrait icons on the map as you’re exploring Palworld (see above). These are World Bosses; sometimes they’ll just be hanging around, while other times you’ll have to go into an instance.

In our video example above, Penking respawns every hour.

Most of these aren’t overly difficult fights if you’re about the same level, have average gear, and a decent Pal with you.

If you’re playing with other players, split it up so you get more of the Ancient Tech early. The statues are great in particular, because you can use Pal souls to up your Pals, and you can use Effigies to power up your own character.

So, in summary:

• In order to get ancient technology points and unlock Ancient Tech in Palworld, you need to defeat World Bosses.
• Most of these World Boss fights aren’t overly difficult if you’re about the same level, have average gear, and a decent Pal with you.
