Much like the Phylakes from the original Assassin’s Creed Origins, Shadows of Anubis are very powerful enemies that roam the countryside trying to hunt down and kill Bayek before he can complete his mission.
They appear as you progress through the story, each providing a worthy challenge for players level 52+. Although you can kill them at earlier levels, it’s very difficult to do so. We suggest waiting until at least the early 50s before you attempted to take them down.
How To Kill The Faithless One & Other Shadows Of Anubis
Although they each have slightly different combat styles, the methodology to take them down is the same. You can use any weapon combination but for this guide, we chose to use the good ol’ Sword and Board. Grab your best shield and Regular Sword (we’ve got some cool Legendary ones here from the DLC).Each of them deal huge amounts of damage when they hit, and most don’t react much to ranged damage or explosives. While this may seem basic, using the basics is the best way to take these guys down. Focus primarily on dodging, more specifically the Perfect Dodge ability. If you dodge at the perfect time, you’ll notice a screen slow effect. This allows you to respond with a fast combination attack.
Pace yourself, only attacking when the dodge works. It may be slow and obvious but it works and should have you taking them down in no time at all. There are Legendary Drops for the story based ones so they are worth hunting.
