As with previous DLC with AC Origins, Curse Of The Pharaohs introduces only a select few new mounts. As before, they come in different rarities, although this only really impacts the price as all the mounts have the same stats – just differing appearances. Eternal Maw

The only mount we’ve discovered so far. The legendary Eternal Maw. This horse replaces your horse whenever you enter an afterlife area. However, you can bring him back to the real world. Well, sort of. Once you have completed the main story simply head to the stables in Set-Ma’at and the stable master will sell you the Eternal Maw horse for 5,000.

They appear as you progress through the story, each providing a worthy challenge for players level 52+. Although you can kill them at earlier levels, it’s very difficult to do so. We suggest waiting until at least the early 50s before you attempted to take them down.

How To Kill The Faithless One & Other Shadows Of Anubis

Each of them deal huge amounts of damage when they hit, and most don’t react much to ranged damage or explosives. While this may seem basic, using the basics is the best way to take these guys down. Focus primarily on dodging, more specifically the Perfect Dodge ability. If you dodge at the perfect time, you’ll notice a screen slow effect. This allows you to respond with a fast combination attack.

Pace yourself, only attacking when the dodge works. It may be slow and obvious but it works and should have you taking them down in no time at all. There are Legendary Drops for the story based ones so they are worth hunting.

Once you progress through the main story you eventually get to explore parts of the afterlife. There is one new map section for each of the main Pharaohs related to the curse. Each of these areas has three ? locations that become Read the Stelae objectives once you get close.

Once you have read all in the area a new one will appear in your inventory under the Myths of the Pharaohs. This final clue will provide you with the details you need to solve the riddle and track down the final resting place of some epic loot. All of the rewards are Legendary Weapons.

This is quite a lengthy series of events and challenging. You need to be maximum level, level 55, to be able to defeat a lot of the enemies involved so I suggest you first focus on reach maximum level. Once you have reached maximum level, you need to huntdown various Serqet locations.

These are marked by Scorpion Stinger (thanks Clayton) like icons on the map. There is one in the real world and four in the after life. Below are the locations of each of the different locations you must complete.

Spring Of Serqet – Waset Desert

Halls of Serqet – Duat

Serqets Altar – Aaru

Serqets Garden – Aten

Serqets Chamber – Heb Zed

You need to make sure that each location is 100% complete, marked by a yellow check mark on the icon. For the afterlife areas this means killing the lead Scorpion of that location. For the one in the real world you need to take down the Captain of the camp and find the treasure for the location to complete.

As with the previous DLC, Curse Of The Pharaohs introduces a very limited number of new Legendary Weapons. There are other weapons available, for the different rarities, but with the huge amount available in the game already, it’s likely most of them will fall short of your current arsenal. Below is a list of all the different Legendary Weapons we’ve discovered so far including details on how to unlock them.

As with all AC Origins Legendary items, there are more than one way to get them. Listed are just the particular activities I was doing to unlock them.

Assassin’s Creed Origins: Curse Of The Pharaohs Legendary Weapons Guide

Venomous Grace (Dual Blades)

You can get this weapon by completing this quest “Ladies Grace”. This is a Pharaoh Dual Sword that does poison damage on hit. That combined with the quick striking of the Dual Swords makes this a strong weapon for anyone who is interested in poisoning their enemies.

Travelers Curve (Hunter Bow)

This Legendary Hunter Bow is a potential reward for completing the Love Or Duty Side Quest in Aaru. A sleep on hit is perfect for the tougher enemies that don’t go down in a single headshot while the charging speed and adrenaline on kill keep the fast-paced combat flourishing.

The Living One (Sickle Sword)

This sword can’t really be missed as it is from part of the main story. After you complete the quest “The Heretic” you will be rewarded with this sword. Is has Instant Charging as a perk so your heavy attacks charge up much quicker.

Daggers Of Tutankhamun (Dual Sword)

While his exact place of burial remains a mystery, his tools of destruction do not. The legendary Daggers Of Tutankhamun provide the perfect traits for Critical Hit fans with maximum Critical Hit Damage, Health for Critical and Adrenaline Regeneration. You obtain these powerful weapons through the National Treasures Side Quest.

Amuns Might (Regular Sword)

The crit machine. Maximum Critical Hit Rate accompanied by Level 3 Critical Hit damage makes Amuns Might one of the more powerful Regular Swords in the game. Combine this with the instant charging and you’ll be sending your foes to the afterlife in droves. You obtain this Legendary Weapon after you complete God or Creed Side Quest.

Palmette Carver (Heavy Blade)

With two Adrenaline perks this one is sure to get your bloody pumping. Adrenaline on Hurt and Adrenaline on Kill accompanied by Health on Kills makes you a near unstoppable killing machine. A worthwhile addition to anyone’s arsenal. Defeat The Relentless One Shadow of Anubis during the story mission Blood in the Water.

Lord Of Thebes (Scepter)

Combo’s for days. The Lord of Thebes Scepter has the rare Combo Multiplier perk alongside Health on Hit and Critical Hit Rate. A worthy weapon for any Scepter wielding heroes of old. You can unlock this Legendary Weapon by completing an Unfair Trade side quest.

Elect Of Ra (Warrior Bow)

One of the best Legendary Warrior Bows in all of Egypt. A deadly combination of Bleeding on Hit and Fire Damage, alongside Rank 3 Precision, it’s enough to get you watering at the mouth. You need to defeat The Fearless One Shadow of Anubis for this reward.

Atens Spear (Spear)

Killer range accompanied by Combo Multiplier Level 4 and Critical Hit Damage 1. You get this deadly beast after you defeat Tutankhamun.

Muts Sorrow (Shield)

Adding this powerful shield to your arsenal will make you anything but sorry. Huge ranged resistance, level 3 melee resistance and a chance to sleep on block. Your enemies will grow so tired of trying to penetrate its defense, they’ll just pass out. To obtain this masterpiece you must complete the Follower or Leader Side Quest.

Keeper of Harmony (Heavy Blunt)

I’d be in harmony if getting hit by this thing was the alternative. Maximum Critical Damage alongside Health on Hit and Adrenaline on Kill make this monstrosity of a weapon a pure bred killing machine. This Legendary Weapon is rewarded when you complete The King of Kings main story quest.

There’s quite a few Side Quests in the Curse of the Pharaohs DLC. Like previous DLC and the original AC Origins, some provide large amounts of experience points while others promise the chance at Legendary Weapons, new mounts and additional details on various characters throughout the story.

Below is a list of all the Sub Quests we’ve found so far, including information on the location and any rewards. They are divided by area based on the initial location in which the quest begins.

Thebes Side Quests

The Thebian Triad

Head to the Temple of Karnak and speak with the woman walking around by the West entrance. She’ll ask you to reclaim stolen statues. Head to the investigation area and get all of the clues. There’s a clue up on the wall and down the other side. Follow the clues and you’ll find the thief sitting at the bottom of the hill. He’ll tell you of a black robed man, head to the new objective area and scout to find his location. When you killed the man in the robes you’ll get more objectives. Locate the statues. Return the statues to the lady for 7500 XP.

Master Of The Secret Things

Head to the side quest near one of the Fast Travel points in Thebes. Speak with the woman to get the Side Quest and then head to Luxor Barracks. Take out the guards, free the hostage. After you free him, he will inform you of some missing scrolls. Track them down at the next objective marker. When you reach the farm you need to investigate the area for clues. Watch out for lions, there’s a few roaming the area. When you find the body in the basement you will learn that bandits have stolen the scrolls. Head to the new location and clear out the Bandit Raiders before retrieving the scrolls.

Theban Necropolis Side Quests

Idol Hands

Head to the quest location near the shore. You’ll find a man sitting atop a large statue surrounded by crocodiles. Before you climb up to speak with the man, clear all the crocodiles nearby and that will finish the first objective. You will learn that another priest has been taken by Bandits. Head to the next objective to learn they stole a statue, head into the bandit camp and take the statue. Ride to the top of the nearby mountain to return the statue to the priests. Clear out the lions to complete the quest.

Burnt Offerings

Head to the workers Necropolis and speak with the lady at one of the graves. Head to the marked tomb and investigate the area before returning to Set-Ma’at to find with the Blacksmith. You learn that the Blacksmith has been arrested. Head to the Desecraters’ Camp, clear out the Bandits and rescue the Blacksmith.

Head to the Pillagers Hideout to clear out the enemies and locate the corpse. Take the Amulet and return to Raia. You get to keep the amulet for use in a later quest.

Drowned Tools

Speak with the man near the hut before taking down the guards trying to extort him. Follow him a short distance before using Senu to scout out the nearby area to find the 3 different sets of tools. You get 8,000 Experience Points.

Thebes Nome Side Quests

Losers Weepers

Speak to the man by the boat to learn this he is a musician that has lost his instruments to the dark depths. Head to the furthest objective to the South West. Use Senu to locate the instrument under the water. Retrieve it and return it to the musician. You get 6,000 Experience Points.

Yebu Nome Side Quests

Crocodile Tears

Head to the location and speak with the Sobek worshipers. Use Senu to scout the nearby area to find the injured warrior. Clear the nearby camp and kill the Captain. Return to the hunter to learn that the Captain escaped and is now hiding out at Swenett Outpost. You get 6,000 Experience Points for taking him down.

National Treasures

Head to Swenett Outpost and free the prisoner before escorting him out of the camp. Travel to the ambush site and inspect the area for clues. Use Senu to search for a nearby horse with a body on its back. Take down the horse, loot the body and return the scroll to Kanika. Follow Kanika into the cave to find the Legendary Dual Swords, Daggers of Tutankhamen.

Unfair Trade

This Side Quest becomes available after you complete the first few stages of Blood In the Water, once you reach the Speak with Tahemet step. Enter the tomb and interact with the mummy to being the quest. Head to the nearby island to locate and kill the Strategos. You get a Legendary Scepter.

Valley Of The Kings Side Quests

A Sisters Vow

This is a follow on quest from Burnt Offerings. Head to the Tomb of Akhenaten in the Valley of the Kings. Head inside and the quest pops up. This may also happen in any other tomb that leads to the Afterlife. Exit the tomb and travel South West to Tutankhamen’s Tomb.

Yebu Nome Side Quests

Fish Out Of Water

Travel to Moon Curser Village and speak with the injured man. Head to the next objective and you will see a fisherman working with the guards to extort passersby. You will learn that the mans “family” have been taken hostage. Head to the Papyrus Estate and interact with the corpse to learn that the Steward wants to fight you. Travel to the nearby Ship Construction Yard and take him out. You get 7,000 Experience Points and another afterlife quest.

Laid To Rest

This is a direct follow on quest after you complete Fish Out of Water. You are tasked with returning the ring to Dennu in Aaru. Head into the Tomb of Queen Nefertiti to Aaru. Return the ring for 5,000 Experience Points.

Afterlife Side Quests

Aaru - Love Or Duty

Speak to the man at the House of Threshed Grain. Head to the objective marker, get into the tomb and read the Lodge of Names. Following that head to the next objective and smash the jars to get the bread before getting the incense. Head back to the Palace of the Lady of Grace to use the Brazier. Follow The Ren that appears before killing the Anubis solider it turns into. You get 5,000 Experience Points and a Travelers Curve Legendary Bow.

Aten - Gods Or Creed

Take the prisoner out of his cell and carry him back to his home in the temple. Speak with Khui once you arrive. You then unlock The Cat, The Ibish and The Hawk quests. I had already fully explored this area at this point so all of the quests instantly completed for me, but you need to track down some idles. Once you have them all and return them, you need to complete all of the story quests in Aten. Once you defeat the Pharaoh return to Khui for a Legendary Sword reward.

Aten - The Cat

This is a follow on quest after you complete the first step of Gods or Creed. You need to find the Statue of Bastet. Head to the location and use Senu to find it.

Aten - The Ibish

This is a follow on quest after you complete the first step of Gods or Creed. You need to find another statue, track it down and retrieve it.

Aten - The Hawk

This is a follow on quest after you complete the first step of Gods or Creed. Last statue. Find it, return it.

Duat - Shield or Blade

Head to the Duat, it’s the only quest in the area. Complete all of the objectives for a new Legendary outfit.
