The Mysterious Shards in AC Mirage unlock some of the best gear in the game. This guide on ALL Mysterious Shard Locations In Assassin’s Creed Mirage lists the location of every single Mysterious Shard across each of the regions in the game. Once you collect a certain number of shards you will get a quest showing you where to turn them in.

You can then deposit shards, depending on the number you have, to unlock one of the special tablets that gives you a unique item. This is some of the strongest gear in the game so it’s a good idea to chase these down.

It’s worth noting that all of these shards belong to Order members. They are usually well-guarded and will attack on sight as they recognize who you are. They also move around the area a lot. So they can be quite far from the icons shown below. The best method is to reach the areas shown in the maps and then use the eagle to get the exact location.

What To Do With Mysterious Shards In AC Mirage

Once you have gathered a few of the Mystery Shards, you should get a quest telling you where to go. If you do not, you need to head to the Oasis in the North Wilderness, shown above. There is an underwater entrance here that leads to a cave. Once inside the cave, you can spend your Mystery Shards to activate each of the Pedestals.

What Do You Get For Collecting All Of The Mysterious Shards In AC Mirage

If you trade in 5 Mysterious Shards you get the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar, a sword that increases damage by 50% but reduces health by 50%. If you open the three pedestal, you get Milad’s Outfit, that gives you an AoE stun whenever you land an air assassination. Finally, if you open the two Mysterious Shard pedestal, you get The Samsaama dagger. Every 5 hits, it heals Basim for 10% health. All of these items come fully upgraded.

Where To Find Digital Deluxe Edition Weapons
You get two weapons with the Digital Deluxe Edition, the Sand Sword and the Dagger of Time. Both of these are very strong in the early and mid stages of the game, so they are a fantastic little bonus to start your adventure. Simply follow the main story until you unlock the Inventory menu and equipment slots – this is after your initiation. You can then change to these weapons from the game’s default weapons in your inventory.

Where To Find Prince Of Persia Outfit
The Prince of Persia-inspired outfit is called the Sand Outfit. It allows Basim to survive a lethal hit, one that would kill him, and slow down time – once per combat. Much in the same way you unlock the weapons. Follow the main story until you are able to change your gear in the inventory menu and then check the Outfit category.

Where To Find DLC Eagle & Horse
To change your mount or your Eagle skin, follow the main story until you are able to explore the world. Then, all you need to do is find a stable. These are marked by a horse head icon on the map. They can nearly always be found near entrances to towns and villages, so they aren’t difficult to track down. Once you speak to a stable master simply navigate between the mount and eagle tab to change the skins.

Whether you want to change your eagles appearance or your horses, it’s the same location. Open your map and look for a Stable, these are marked by a horse head icon on the map. You do need to be zoomed in a small ways before you can see it. They aren’t rare. They are commonly found on the outskirts and entrances of towns and villages.

Head there and speak to the NPC. You can then navigate between the mount and eagle screen. Simply purchase or select another skin and it will change the appearance of your horse or eagle.

So far, we haven’t come across many of these that block progressing through the story. All of the damaged or partially broken walls we have found hide secrets, optional areas, chests, that sort of thing. As such, it’s unlikely you will encounter many if you are just following the main story of AC Mirage.

How To Destroy Broken Walls In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

However, if you do find one, there are three ways to destroy them. Firstly, you need one of the burning red jars. These are always found nearby, although sometimes they may be on the other side of the wall – if it’s an area you use later to escape or leave a particular quest. The small red jars work best as you can pick these up and then simply throw them at the damaged wall to break it. Finally, you can use a torch to destroy the jars also.

The big ones also work but as these cannot be picked up, they need to be in close proximity to the damaged wall, which is seldom the case. To ignite these jars you can simply throw a dagger at them and they will explode. Alternatively, with some upgrades, smoke grenades also detonate these jars.

Unlike the more recent Assassin’s Creed games, AC Mirage doesn’t have as big an emphasis on the choices and decisions you make during the story. There are several that pop up, but most of them don’t seem to have any lasting impact. This is one of those choices.

The Treatise Matter Most Or You Mattered Most Choice In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

If You Choose The Treatise Mattered Most
If you make this choice Basim explains the treatise was the most important. His son is angry and tosses his father’s work away, promising it will never see the light of day. You can jump down onto the ground and pick up the treatise.

If You Choose You Mattered Most
The son is infuriated and pushes Basim in anger. He accuses Basim of taking his last moments away with his father. He tells Basim he never wants to see him again. While it’s tough to take, this is probably the better choice for the son in the long run.

We did not encounter the son again during our time in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, so it’s unlikely this choice has any lasting effects. We were also not able to find anywhere to sell or use the treatise.

How To Unlock All Tools In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Tools are your main abilities in AC Mirage. In this guide on How To Unlock All Tools In Assassin’s Creed Mirage we’ll explain how you can unlock each of Basim’s different abilities. When you inspect the Tool Menu in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, it tells you that you require Skill Points to unlock new tools.

These are the same Skill Points that you use to level up Basim’s abilities in the Skill tree. This means that you often have to choose whether you want to unlock a new tool or unlock a new Skill. It’s not the most exciting way of doing it but that’s how it works.

How To Unlock All Tools In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

You unlock the Throwing Dagger through the main story, during the mission A New Beginning. It’s part of the introduction tutorial, about 45 minutes into the game. You can’t miss it. Once you have that, you need to continue with the main story before upgrading other tools becomes available.

After you assassinate your first Order member, completing one of the Investigations, you will need to return to the bureau to progress with the main story. At this point you will be told you can upgrade your tools at any bureau desk. From this point forward, you will be able to unlock tools freely, using skill points. You must first unlock the tool at the bureau before you are able to upgrade the tool from your inventory.

Lost Books are one of the many different collectibles in AC Mirage. There are six Lost Books in total. Two can be found in Harbiyah, one in Karkh, one in the Round City, one in Abbasiyah, and one in the Wilderness.

Finding Lost Books is a great way to improve Balsim in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Due to the new leveling system, one based more on milestones than actual experience points, the only real method of leveling up faster and unlocking new abilities is to progress through the story. However, each of the Lost Books that you find provides Basim with 1 Skill Point.

You can return Lost Books to Al-Jahiz in Abbasiyah at the House of Wisdom. For each Lost Book you find, you get a Skill Point. For each Lost Book turned in to Al-Jahiz, you get a Scholar’s Favor token. If you find all 6 books, you get a Scholar’s Outfit costume.
